Re: Froch v Abraham press pics staredown!
I don't care how good his chin is Froch's DEFENSE is what will get him in trouble with Abraham. Froch is a fun fighter to watch but the style match up is bad...you saw that Kessler landed at will on him and no one knows if Kessler is anywhere near his best anymore.
Should be a fun fight to watch no matter the outcome, but I predict Abraham stopping Froch mid to late

about a minute in, Dirrell goes back against the ropes and lands a left hand that visibly rocks Froch, he backs up into the ropes with his hands up. If you watch the video in between the rounds too it shows the punch again in slow motion. There you go, Dirrell hurting Froch:cool: Not that this was overly significant in the fight IMO, its not like Froch was on the verge of being stopped or anything, he recovered pretty quickly and finished the round throwing punches. But he was visibly rocked by that left hand.
point is Dirrell landed shots like that one more than once, the only thing is the jittery bastard wouldn't follow up, i never said he was in danger of getting stopped, but that's more due to Dirrell's lack of punches more than it was Froch's chin,
IMO Froch has a very average chin at best
Come on mate that is bullshit average at best?
Kessler was landing at will and couldn't make a dent theres is a reason he has a nose like the wicked witch of the west off The Wizard Of Oz, he uses his face as his defense to say his chin is average at best is way off mate, come on lets have it right he has a decent chin that is not Oliver McCall solid but is of a decent standard.
froch has a granit chin that is clear
i dont agree with you on the kes thing tho, he landed one hard punch in the fight, and its debatable whether that was too hard
So we have gone from one extreme to another
So now it is granite it aint either, Dirrell had him wobbled but him on his bike let him off the hook, Jermiane Taylor had him on the deck, the same Taylor who has not knocked down or ko'd any other opponent he has fought at 168, it aint Ganite it is decent/good.
Granite chins don't get put on the deck from not very hard hitting fighters who were career middleweights.
Jesus christ what fucking fight are you watching? Hahaha your of your head mate one clean shot. :vd:

admittedly I didnt remeber dirrell hurting him
I dont wanna get into the froch kes debate really, id be happy to watch any vids you want to post of kes hitting him at will tho

Where did I say he hit him at will??
Kessler found the button on at least 6-10 occasions in that fight I remmeber two peaches of left hooks and a straight right without watching it, which would of put other fighters down. I actually think Froch landed the more eye cathing shots overall in the fight.

Come on mate, his chin's better than average. Kessler and Pascal hit him with some absolute monster shots. I mean Hatton supposedly had a good chin, yet practically everytime he was hit cleanly at world level he was rocked. Froch has taken clean bombs whilst he himself has been in the motion of throwing, and still recovered quickly.
Not saying Abraham won't knock him out, but i think labelling his chin as average at best is a little harsh.

Agreed. He has a better than average chin. He withstood Kessler and Pascal's biggest punches.
My thing is that because he continues to keep his left hand low and in general his defense is porous, he leaves himself open to big punches, and Abraham packs a wallop. Froch has too much toughness for his own good. TO win this, he should be content to win rounds and hold on to some energy for the final rounds. Either way, it should be a barn-burner of a scrap. I'll root for Froch, but I see Abraham getting to him late.

alright maybe i exaggerated a bit, but his chin still isn't solid iron, and lets not rule out how tough of a SOB Abraham is, he fought 8 rounds with his jaw hanging, against a guy who was a monster puncher at the time, IMO Abraham is the faster one of the two, he has good movement, and he'll hurt Froch and stop him in the later rounds
Re: Froch v Abraham press pics staredown!
I wouldn't argue with that to be honest. I think Abraham is more likely to knock Froch than Froch is to knock Abraham out. They're both capable of it though.
Re: Froch v Abraham press pics staredown!
if froch stays super busy and doesnt gas out he has a chance but i think AA will win by late round KO
Re: Froch v Abraham press pics staredown!
Froch will win this, I am super confident that it will happen.

He's got a more fluid style but I think Carl will have to fight a perfect fight to beat Arthur. AA has solid defense, big power, a heck of a chin, and he comes on stronger in the second half of the fight.
I could see Froch having the style and attributes to give Abraham big trouble BUT I don't think Froch has the mentality or focus to do that, and that's why I back Abraham, he's got a better approach to the game than Froch has.

Explain the bold. I think Froch is one of the more focused fighters out there (although AA is too). Do you think he will make the mistake of getting into a war with AA?

I do not think he will fall into the trap of having a war, he will build a points lead and not engage and wait for AA assault and counter him even more and maybe even stopping him.
