Manny.
I think I'm going to have to go with Bananaman. There is no way he would lose a fight, he is one mean SOB and would leave Manny and Bruce floored with the yellow fruit hanging out of their ring.

I heard when Chuck Norris jumps into a body of water, he doesn't get wet, the water gets Chuck!
Also, Chuck Norris' calendar jumps from March 31st to April 2nd cause NO ONE fools Chuck Norris!
Chuck Norris would bbq them both with his cock.
Bruce Lee had to defeat the Tai Chi Quan, Xingyiquan and northern shaolin master Wong Jack Man whom accepted his challenge that he could beat any man in San Francisco. They fought for over 20 minutes and Bruce eventually won. it was because this fight was "too long" in Bruce's opinion that he started to develop Jeet Kune Do because up until then he'd fought primarily with Wing Chun.
I can agree with your Bruce Lee v Pac scenario, bu as soon as Chuck walks into this altercation Bruce lee sends a finger jab to Norris' eyes followed by a swift kick to the groin which crumbles Norris to the ground. No one could match Bruce Lee's speed, No one.
just a question: what is a "pactard"? does that mean we cannot think pac is among the greats and we are retarded if we think this?
That term was coined because of the outrageous and ridiculous statements and posts of Pac fans such as
1. Pac can beat Barrera, Morales and Marquez much more knock them out
2. Pac can beat bigger fighters like DelaHoya, Hatton, Cotto, CLottey and Margarito
These people are crazy, They obviously dont know anything about boxing :D
I want to add another option to the mix
China O'Brien vs Kurt McKinney (a.k.a Jason Stillwell) from No Retreat, No Surrender
Will there be nunchucks ?
China O'brien ;D...use to watch her movies for all the wrong reasons :lickish:
Bruce Lee was a street fighter. Acting came second in his career. The man could do 2 fingered one hand pushups, curl 80 pound dumbells, and rip a heavy bag off its hinges with a side kick. Pacquiao stronger? Not even close. Im a huge Pacquiao fan but Bruce Lee would finish him in under 30 seconds.
Bruce RIP!!!!!!!
just to clarify
bruce lee is a film star that has things enhanced for his own given benefit to make him look more impressive than he actually is and has made his millions out of looking a hell of a lot more impressive than he actually is
manny pacquiao is a world champion boxer who fights for a living and is currently the p4p greatest boxer on the planet. Boxing is universally recognised as the number 1 contact sport
this is a very very silly question, next thing you`ll be asking who wins out of mayweather and a transformer
a completely shot manny pacquiao would put a prime bruce lee in a very nasty coma if these 2 ever decided to get it on
In a boxing match, Pacquiao would dominate. In a dojo or in the streets, Bruce Lee would tear it up and overwhelm with extreme unconventionality boxers aren't used to. Location, location, location.
Too funny. Well I guess it beats the Kimbo slice vs George foreman threads ;D
for the record I think all three of them pound Kimbo into a big pile of whisker filled dust
Can you imagine trying to dub the vocal sound effects, would sound like a fookin Acid House beat.
Manny: Ha! Goo-Goo!
Bruce: Wha Peyow!, Horrrrrr!! Ya! Ooooooo!!!
Manny: Goo-Goo-Goo-Goo-Goo-Goo, Ha! Ha! Goo-Goo-Goo!!
Bruce: Rmmmmma! Woow! Puwa! Haddoooooken! Tiger Upppercut!!!!
Manny: BOOM-BOOM-POW Muthafucka!!!
Bruce: WTF:confused:
Manny: What? I'm just doing my job...
Manny Pac because he is at the peak of his abilities and Bruce is .... well dead.
This shows just how much you know about Bruce Lee which is nothing. Bruce was not just an actor. Do you think he was picked up in movies for his amazing acting skills? Um no. Lee was apart of a street fighting gang back in China called the "Tigers of Junction Street". Just because Bruce never entered any world championship matchs doesnt mean he wasnt the best in the world. Lee knocked out Uechi a japanese black belt karateka in 11 seconds in a 1962 full contact match in Seattle. I could go on and on with these stories but you get the point. Tho I'm sure everyone will bash me for sayin this but Bruce Lee had considerably quicker hand speed than Pacquiao, (just look at both mens tapes) and thats not even bringin his feet into the picture. Almost forgot this was a boxing thread.;D
HTH. Bruce Lee was the real shit. What are you talking about? He would give Pac a massive internal bleeding with a single 4" punch around the turso area.
Ok being serious here for a sec. ;D
Boxing have always proven its worth in real fights. There are many Martial Arts that are shit in real fights, MMA has proven that. Muay Thai and Boxing are the truth when it comes to real fights. Many of these other striking arts are more like dances than worthful fighting styles.
Bruce Lee is the only actor who is willing to actually fight anybody for real to prove his true fighting skill. It may not be super martial arts when he actually does fight but IMO he would be a tough fight for anybody. It may not be like the movies but Bruce was always fit and fast but who knows how well he can take a punch or brake off a clinch and submissions. As much as people would like to tell all these stories about Bruce Lee....there is still a lot of myth behind him.
If Bruce Lee vs Manny Pacquiao would happen, it could be as quick as a single punch from Pacquiao.
My money is on Bruce Lee.
He could make Manny stand with his stance completely front on, put a chair behind him so that he can't move his back leg out and then knock him off balance by pushing him backwards an inch or two.
Sorry... I typed that wrong... what I meant to say was that Bruce Lee could generate so much force with only a one inch punch that he'd knock Manny over...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS6aMdskKSo&NR=1
there is a reason you will never see footage of this being done when
a) the guy being hit is in a martial arts stance (ie a boxing stance(
b) he doesn't have a chair behind him
Anybody who can look at the feet in this video (ignore the upper body) and then choses not to see what is going is is a fanboy!
No, that's not why we say pactard... those statements are known to be true... pac can beat anybody providing that a fighter is shop worn/weight drained/old/over hyped enough to share a ring with him! ;)
maybe Roach will actually dig up the corpse of bruce lee or pay muhammad ali to fight pac? :p
pac deserves his dues... but the term 'pactard' comes when people go a step or two past that and idolize him like some sort of god.
Jeet kune do seems to do just fine in the octagon , I saw a fast ko by one just last night on best ko's. A double knee to the chin left right leap.Forget the guy already but they introduced him as a Jeet kune do practitioner.
There is a jealousy toward favored styles, that's really quite strange, its like trying to prove someone wrong in one situation automatically makes your style dominant and correct. It just isnt so.
Think: if a fighter stays on his toes and another is a competent front kicker, leg kicker, sweeper; which one on average is likely to be going down with the added reach in leg contact being first before contact arm range?.
Think again : if a fighter is only into wrestling grappling and leans forward into a guy who is on his toes who can move and bang like a boxer in perfect timing (whos going down this time around).
Then think no rules, bare fists being outreached by fingers into eyes and legs involved first for added reach. the dude who makes a fist is out reached in two ways and his eyes are going to be watering at the very least.
Different fight rules suit different styles.
Its one tool for one job / one tool for another,
Ya just have to eventually get over being 'a real tool' for just one job. ;D
Of course I will knock out Pacquaio with my Jet-Kundo( I even don't know how to spell my karate style). LOL
i don't want to sound like a fanboy or anything. i used to practice JKD which got me to try out other arts, including boxing. it's my way of, spiritually speaking, taking a path to the truth. study the art as a whole, deviate from it and study aspects individually, then returning to the whole in anewer perspective. anyway, that's a whole different story.
my point for replying to this post about the one inch punch is that he didn't do it in his demos to show that "he just needs a punch to knock you down." that wasn't the point. he was trying to demonstrate how a punch should come from the ground up and you had to put your hip into it. he was showing how not to do an arm punch.
and to the ones saying that all he did were flashy moves in his movie. that's true. even he said it himself that what he does in his movies are flashy and that if he got in a real fight, it wouldn't look like that. he said it was gonna look ugly and not flashy at all because he was going to do all means necessary to leave unharmed.
Yeah, at the most its a demonstration of stance and balance versus no stance and no balance. It is not a physically impressive act of power, as it is seen by most lee fanboys.
("omg he could liquify your sternum with a 1 inch punch!!" um, no... He couldn't)
Cocking the wrist and firing it off that way onto the end of the movement; Bruce got that from the Wing Chuns Bil Gee form, the final form you learn. "finger thrusting form" . Its quite deadly when you hit the soft spots on someone, the spots with no muscle behind them.
the 1 inch punch or the finger thrust has been tested in the tv show sports science. it generated very little power.
i got things messed up i think it was on mythbusters. but sports science did measured various types of punches though.
going back to the 1 inch punch, it looked really impressive if you see it for the first time. but him standing straight up plus messing with his brain by putting a chair behind him was actually the major reason why it looked like a strong punch.
you guys know how they sell powerbands? its pretty much the same trick.
i do know bruce trains hard and perfected his martial art cause he wants to be the best. no doubt about that but the 1 inch punch is just an illusion.
Yo Koppas!! Mike Barnes WAS Karate Kid's #1 badass BUT Johnny fought the better version of Daniel, who was more fit than he was in part 3. In part 3, Daniel was a fat ass, but he did nail all ladies. Mike Barnes had the dope flat top, but still has nothing on Johnny's come over. Johnny vs Mike Barnes... I still take Johnny. His Cobra Kai technique was unmatched. The Crane kick was a fluke. Manny is still karaoke champ though. Wasn't Bruce a Cha Cha dance champion in China? Probably a better dancer than singer. I love this thread.
Hmm... an Actor vs the best fighter of our generation. I can see how this can be tough decision. Or hear is an even tougher one: A prime Mike Tyson vs Sylvester Stalone
it doesn't matter, if I was to stand next to my bed (with both of my legs touching it) and get my grandma or my little sister to stand in anything even CLOSE to a boxing stance with their hand an inch away from me...
All they would have to do is quickly lean the weight of their upper body an inch or two past my chest and I would trip on to the bed.
PARTY TRICK
Finger strike is where it was all born from. Its utterly Useless in gloves and is used more to get someone off your ass if they are hanging off you. If used as an open palm straight into the face is actually better than the fist in my mind for that range anyway, but used with the right technique in the exact right moment as the original toe to fingers power as you move: then your eyes will be hanging off my fingers or your aorta blood flow will be mixing with your jugular blood flow or your exphixoid will will be piercing your lower heart chamber. There's a few applications and your not going to use them unless outnumbered or going for total vengeance and jail term.
Bruce Lee invented Jeet Kune do as an extension and a open path to lead on from the stilted traditional wing chun, there are Jeet kune do practitoners in MMA and they do very well. Bruce got picked on in Hong Kong when going back there because of his acting roll in the green man etc. He then went to Yip Man with William Cheung to learn Wing chun to protect himself on the streets when in Hong Kong. Which they both had to do back then.
They are both un liked in traditional Wing chun circles because of their adaptions to the tradition.
