The only chance a PBF/PAC fight venue could happen outside the Casino venue is if there is a multi-billionaire willing to put up a 60-80 million bid dollar purse.

Or better yet, have Mayweather hook back up with Arum. Bob will pay Mosley to feint injury and back-out from his fight with Manny. The megafight we are all waiting for will then be signed immediately.

Agreed. Don said himself if he gets Mayweather on board him and Arum could get the fight done in 5 minutes. There's always going to be difficulties in getting this fight done, but I don't doubt that King and Arum would make it happen

Yes, I read Jeff saying that they're in talks about taking Floyd to South Africa for Mandela's birthday celebrations, but it didn't mention Pacquiao as an opponent then. I believe he did say they still hoped to fight Manny, or that they were expecting to open talks, something along those lines. Not sure whether someone has just linked the two, but Arum completely dismissed the rumours of talks beginning again

Another interview I heard from Bob Arum said that he didn't want Manny to take the blood tests because "sometimes the nurses can't find the veins and they keep poking and poking..Floyd is harrassing Manny with these blood tests because he knows Manny gets freaked out with blood tests...":confused:. We keep hearing all kinds of excuses. Maybe Bob Arum, Freddy Roach, and Manny should get together and agree on what stories to say so they don't keep contradicting each other.

Pacquiao's fight with dela Hoya is considered a mismatch in Oscar's favor. So he was considered an overwhelming threat before the fight.
Hatton is undefeated in the weight class that Manny fought him in and a number of posters in this forum considered that Hatton will win. So many posters saw Ricky as a threat.
Cotto and Margarito are considered by some to be too big for Manny even though they're the underdog. Some still saw them as threats.
AFTER watching how Pacquiao dominated them, they are now not considered as threats.

dela Hoya - went down 1 weight division to fight Manny who went up 2 weight divisions (some would consider it as 3 weight division since his fight with David Diaz did not prove that he was truly tested in that division).

Although the question was not directed at me, I have presented proof that discredits your contention.

I don't blame Mayweather for demanding the drug testing. How many weights has Manny fought at? 8 or 9 and the guy still keeps his power like a wrecking machine...
Sure, as you get a bit older you move up a couple of divisions but moving up that many, and still keep destroying, come on!!
Why should Mayweather handicap himself by fighting a fighter who "possibly" could be using performance enhancing drugs. If he's clean, fair enough. Roach's fighter has used them before so fair play to Floyd for the demands.

I personally hope that this fight does happen. As someone already said, it would be fight of the century

None of those fighters posed a threat, not 1. All were either weight drained, past their prime, have been KO'd, abused, questionable losses......I mean really. Other than the "names" having clout, none of those fighters really posed ANY threat or were worth watching.

So if you think Pacs past oppenents have been so weak, tell me whos been fighting better opposition?

Name one fighter who has done better than the fighter of the decade?

Anyone who's not been fighting shot fighters at catch weights.

First of who the fwock is Rito?

Do you take into consideration that pac is no more than a lightweight fighting big motherfcxker welters? They tested the lightweight division by going after a weak champ. They had no plans on taking over that division, if they did Pac would rape everyone in that division. They wanted the money and the money are in the welterweight division. That is why they are fighting at welter, that does not mean pac is a welterweight. He had destroyed these bigger guys in a way no one can. They didnt take the fight with Mosley before because Pac was still testing the welterweight division. He asked Cotto to fight at 145 for that reason and at the time Mosley was with Goldenboy which made it ever tougher to make that fight happen. Now that Mosley is not with Goldenboy he is getting the fight with Pac and it will be at welterweight.

You mentioned JMM taking on tough fights at 135, if he is as good as pac than why not try what pac has done. Taking on even tougher challengers against the bigger guys and stay around 140 to 150? You think JMM will be as successful against Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Dela Hoya?

You still failed to name somebody who has done better than the fighter of the decade.

Tell me who can do what pac has? 4 lineal titles, 8 division title and whooped on bigger guys. As much as you and the haters would like to make washed up excuses, these are still bigger guys who earned their names and reputation to fight against pac.

Even Barrera, Morales, JMM were all bigger guys when pac fought them. His been doing this for a very long time. You'll have a hard time finding somebody whos done what he has in the fasion he's been doing it. And your trying to say he hasnt proved his greatness. You are an idiot.

Don King wanted to put up the fight between Pac and Money, but Mayweather is asking for 100Million for the fight to happen... Maybe thats the reason why Don King and Mayweather didnt come into terms at all. Mayweather seems to speak Money-esse and not ghetto esse..
