Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
jimmanual - i could see somehow solis winning by moving and lasting the full 12, but a ko of Vitali would be a big statement. i see klitschko knocking him out like he did Arreola.

Thats what happens you are in shitty shape , you get rocked.
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
that was a waste, Solis' knee went to shit, most retarded thing ever is that Lewis says that it's the first time he has seen anything like this, ummm did he forget about his own fight against Michael Grant?

You know, I thought his legs looked a little too thin for a man with such a broad chest.
Crazy. And he'd started so well!

Lol ;D You dont pick against Dr Steelhammer, can Vitali get some props from anyone? No he slow and no power obviously well past his best. (cough) Lyle(cough)

Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
watching it on German TV... and the replays only showing a bruce seldon type of KO so did he twist his knee when he tried to avoid the shot.
biggest load of shit ive ever watched whatever caused it.
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
i think what happened was vitali caught him, and when solis legs started to buckle from getting hit he somehow hurt his leg

watch right when the last hook vitali threw lands, right after that solis knee starts to buckle and then he starts falling
-
Agreed with sal, I think solis took a shot to the temple that he jumped into lost some equilibrium legs started to buckle then due to his weight something gave in...fuck it solis started well enough but convinced vitali batters him eventually even at close to forty

His left leg buckled, and he slipped a bit when his right planted. looked legit. Knee injury due to having probably a shitty conditioning.

Whats this, a soap opera? What does that promoter look like ???
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
haha Solis was winning the first round and landed some good shots. I got the impression that he truly had a great gameplan and it started to work with Vitali hardly connecting a punch. Too bad it ended with an injury and i was nervous with the German commentator calling it a HARD KO. ;D;D;D

yeah maybe that temple shot was more powerful than it looked.
still crap all the same... i picked him to get KO'd in the 2nd :(

Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
I knew I didn't like Jim Watt, but I can't tolerate him now. He missed the fact the Solis hurt his knee for about 15 minutes! Kept saying 'it was like his brain was scrambled and he lost his motor skills' and 'his brain was scrambled and he just couldn't get up'. NO you twat! He twisted his fucking knee so couldn't get up. Watt didn't mention it for about 15 minutes.
I think Solis went down because his knee went, NOT that he hurt his knee as he was going down (although Watt didn't think it was either of those options).
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
watching some replays on german TV and Vitali instantly went mental telling Solis off for the stoppage after it happened with Wlad smiling and pulling him away.
it was like Vatali thought he took a dive and he wasn't happy in an Ali Liston 2 kinda way.

Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
A stretcher has just been taken to the Solis dressing room
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
I think Solis was wining the fight up until the KO...
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
Clearly this deserves a rematch...

Of course, but only if it can happen in less than 2 months time, so it won't prevent an Adamek vs Vitali clash in September.

That was really annoying me. It was quite clear his knee went (I don't think he took a dive) but Jim Watt was acting like it was some colossal shot that rendered Solis unable to use his legs. Solis was doing pretty well up to that point, but surely no in shape athlete should just break down like that? Oh wait...

Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
3 pounds lighter, and about 7 inches shorter....do some roadwork fat bastard. He had skinny little chicken legs.

Missed it all? Damn time delays....did he go out ala Mayorga and sprain his leg off a punch that dropped him?

Lol won't pick against a klitschko again.........
Haye to win in the summer :p
jokes aside in the short time it lasted Solis showed fast hands and a bit of movement can be effective shame we didn't get to see what might have happened. A fast pace and plenty of movement and angles will work well for their opponents. The Klitsckos are monsters if they are given time and distance to get their long hard punches off.
Obviously easier said than done

Considering that he MUST train, how is it possible for a fighter to be that fat? Seriously.
Even with just a little training you surely qould have to eat a ridiculous amount?
I always think the same (to a far lesser extent) about Enzo Mac. In fact he has become a byword amongst my friends for a body that you don't want. I'm sure Enzo trains hard, he must or he wouldn't go 12 rounds (well, he USED to go 12 rounds), so how it is possible for him to look like MR Disapointingly Average? Eat loads? Or cursed by his genes? It is possible to train like hell, eat right, and still be in that kind of shape? Serious question. (I know Enzo Mac is by no means as bad as some, but just always wondered).

ryanman, I used to think exactly the same about enzo like you say he was obviously fit. i just reckon he needed to drop down a weight division which would take time and a bit more training than usual so was easier for him to stay where he was. If you're carrying excess weight it's there to be lost surely.
If he has ever cut corners in order to avoid shedding those extra pounds i'd say he has paid the price.

Wow, Vitali wins a fight where he may (according to you morons) have been behind on the scorecards (had the first round actually ended) but still won, ironic seeing how Vitali's only losses were when he was up on the scorecards.
BTW Vitali is 'Dr. Ironfist', Wladimir is 'Dr. Steelhammer'.
Solis needs to get in shape....so much for that fancy footwork eh guys?

Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
he was doing ok looked like his hand speed could make it interesting for a few rounds.....the short looping right hand caught him on the temple as he was going in with his hands covering his face, it wasnt a thunderbalt but seemed to stun as he went back his left leg went stiff and cause the right to buckle from the weight.......i dont believe it was a dive, trust me his manager ahmet is a turkish promoter based in germany...if you know ahmet you know he's upset at this he was crying after the fight

That promoter is an idiot for making the fight. Too much too soon. Thank god we didnt have to watch Chisora get banged out in the same fashion. I dont think Vitali should offer a rematch any time soon to this guy. Let him try and rebound and get his weight down, he has the speed and ability. He apparently doesnt have any conditioning or work ethic.
-
He we down because of his knee, had nothing 2 do with any punch from vitali, reminded me of tyson near the end of round 1 against danny williams, watched a good few replays, wot an anti-climax,solis lookin like he woz really cause vitali problems, would hav heartened haye,i wonder if solis condition had somethin 2 do with his knee buckling...
-
Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
What a load of bullshit! Solis is complaining of a knee injury but manages to use that leg to lift his fat ass up! He cried off!:p

Wlad trying to one up his brother, oh he's Ironfist eh? I'll be Steelhammer steel is harder than Iron. Now Vitali has to be called titaniumfist, then Wlad will go for Adamantiumhammer. :D

Re: Vitali Klitschko 249.5 - Odlanier Solis 246.9
Another phantom punch. A little disappointing since there was a minority of people who picked Solis to beat the big man. Heck it even had a big spread in the The Ring. I thought it was funny seeing that Vitali wanted to check on his fallen opponent and Vlad held him back in a sort of assholish way.

It looked to me like Vitali was berating Solis for quitting/taking a dive and Wlad was just trying to remove him from the situation.

Very possible
