If someone accuses somebody of something it's up to the accuser to prove it and not up to the accused.
If Mayweathers accusations go unchecked, then it will go on and on. It just happens that they did it to someone who has the financial resources to go on with a lawsuit. I hope this teaches all of those people involve a lesson.
Anyway, Manny already agreed to the drug test but wasn't given the opportunity to prove he's clean because the accuser did not want to fight.
Not in the UK.
If this had happened in England it would be down to Manny to prove hes not taking steroids and hasnt.
I heard a late night radio programme while fishing once, where it was on about American pharmacutical companies refusing to advertise in British health magazines because of the claims they make and the lawsuits that could follow.
But it didnt happen in America. Nothing will come of this lawsuit. Floyd asked Manny to take a test, Manny refused and Floyd said he wouldnt fight him until he does. Manny should be suing Arum for allowing him to look like a twat;D
What are spewing here completely different situations? Most likely the medical stuff your are referring to is those stupid get rich fat pills from the infomercial products. Those products get shut down in the US but it takes time because of due process.

Mayweather is compelled to show up on court and testify. If he chooses not to, Pac atorney will file a motion to the judge for a default judgement, since the principal defendant sows no interest in defending himself. It will only take 2 weeks for such judgement to be made.
If pac wins this case, Floyd will have to pay pac a lot of money. No wonder he already envisioned this, and asked golden boy for 40Million vs ortiz. Really great move.

It's a deposition not the trial, so that won't happen. It's up to the Judge what he's going to do at this point. Most likely he'll find Mayweather in contempt, unless he missed the court date for some unforeseeable reason like he was busy beating.... I mean in the hospital, an accident or the like. The Judge will likely set a new deposition date and go on from there. If he don't show up with a valid reason, the Judge may might issue an warrant for his arrest. Although if the Judge is really pissed, he might just have him arrested straight away but I doubt that would happen.
-
Re: Mayweather Seeks Delay of Pacquiao Deposition
Lets hope they arrest Floyd then.
-
Re: Mayweather Seeks Delay of Pacquiao Deposition
The judge may issue a bench warrant. Floyd will just turn himself in, pay the $5000-$10,000 bail and be out a few hours later.

Re: Mayweather Seeks Delay of Pacquiao Deposition
I'm an attorney but thankfully I don't do any litigation.
Floyd is the worst kind of client. He will not comply with simple directions. There is a case filed and he is a defendant. Depositions are a normal part of the discovery process that occurs. When one is scheduled, you show up.
This is a civil case. If Pac's side doesn't want to settle out of court (which they appear ready to take this to trial and go after Floyd's ass), then he has to go through the process.
I know Floyd is used to doing whatever he wants but the real world doesn't work that way.

Ah... no there is none of that Bail business! The Judge will either fine him or send him to jail if he finds him in contempt. Contempt mean you are disrespectful to the court and it's up to the judge to determine the punishment. It's a certainty that $5-10K is nothing more that a ticket for Floyd so the Judge would probably give him something like 10-30 days in Jail + the fine. Unless Floyd has a really really good excuse. In any event if the Judge has not reschedule the deposition already, then he would issue an arrest warrant. My guess is that the Judge just rescheduled it and will hear his reasons then because we haven't heard from TMZ yet. Although it's still a little early.

Re: Mayweather Seeks Delay of Pacquiao Deposition
man, i gotta tell ya.
i really dislike floyd gayweather!
i admire his skills, but he is chickenhearted like a mofo, and is clearly, as a human.... a walking piece of crap! everyone knows he is in trouble all the time, does what he wants, and ALWAYS gets away with it. Why? Because he has $$$!! its bullshit.
Beating up people outside the ring, or having his boys' do it! pulling out guns at skating rinks, beating his wife/Gf, poking people brutally, lol, i mean cmon! isn't this guy supposed to be a role model or something? No consequences to these actions besides fines?
i bet if he killed someone they would let him go with a fine.
please god, give floyd the temporary nuts to face manny, so manny can pummel that dancing thug into retirement for good!

The case is not a joke and the judge WILL give a shit. Floyd is a very popular chicken shit and a public menace. A lot of people hate him. He's got the perfect poster boy resume.
Don't be surprised if they Michael Vick his ass. ;)

Re: Mayweather Seeks Delay of Pacquiao Deposition
I'm pretty sure in a defamation suit involving a public figure, like here, Pacquiao will have to show damages in order to win. I don't see how he does that here.

Totally agree with this.
The case is a a joke and should be treated as such. "Ooh, he called me a girl". Cue massive litigation clusterfuck.
Manny needs to grow up and drop this nonsense. He looks like a big girl crying because he has refused conditions and then doesn't like being accused that he looks suspicious.

I disagree to claim Pac man is on drugs is defaming and wrong and Floyd should not be allowed to say crap like this without any evidence. The damage to Pac is his reputation and probably commercial endorsements.

To refuse a random drugs test was wrong. Manny has been beyond human, can a man not suggest that it might not be all natural?
As for Pac and his eternal money making, he seems to be doing alright. I don't see how he has been hurt.

"Ooh, he called me a girl". Great analogy Miley. :) Lemme share you mine...
Imagine if you are accusing someone of plotting to blow up a federal building with no absolute proof. Do you think that person you are accusing or the justice system will let you get away just like that?

A big difference here in that the accusation is merely suggesting that a fighters performances might be a little too good. There is no talk of mass murder, in that sense my playground taunt is better.
If the person had always been a model citizen, then yes to accuse would be extreme. But when the person starts to display serious alterations in behaviour, no you do become suspicious and would be correct in drawing attention to that unusual behaviour.
I maintain my argument that Manny is hurting himself with this legal action nonsense whilst Floyd is looking more like the rebel hero. I'm not a fan of either guy, but Floyd is coming off better to me.

Isn't this what Manny was doing when he refused Floyd's drug test demand since Floyd is not the commissioner?

You are confused with your analogy. Floyd is being dictated to by the judge so he should abide. Manny is being dictated to by someone who is NOT the commissioner so he does not need to follow. If it was the commissioner, then that's a different story and I will also be criticizing him.

Nope.
Pac's the one who's taken him to court because it's the only way he feels he can persuade the public he's clean without having to do a test.

Well... If you hope for something like this.
Floyd testifies he is refusing to fight with Manny because it is his opinion that he thinks Manny is using PEDs, yet there is no evidence whatsoever to say Manny is or had ever used PEDs. So the Judge says "Floyd what you are actually doing is stopping Manny and yourself from a having a $25 Million payday because You think and say to the public that Manny uses PEDS. If this were not the facts of the case, Manny wouldn't be suing you".
So then the Judge orders the fight with some sort of testing to back it up. The media and the Fans go crazy. It looks like were are going to have record breaking PPV's. But then....
Floyd doesn't show up to the fight and tell all his fans, it's because "I fight when I want to fight, not when some white Judge orders me to fight" Sorry, but Floyd just don't know how to satisfy anyone.

WOOHOO I get to use my quote again!
Umm... yeah. That's great. You get to use the qoute of a 6 year old brain.

If you read all the comments in this thread only you and hornfinger sees it as something good for Floyd. And I don't think you can accuse all these posters as pactards.
Xaduboxer, you are the most absurd human being I have ever come across. Of course it is a good thing that Floyd is making a mockery of playground taunting. Manny has no balls and clearly a very small penis, only a man with such a limited outlook needs to sue a guy for a few offhand comments.
Resorting to false accusations again, just like your idol Floyd. I made a truthful statement which somehow hurt your feelings. What a pity?
Floyd my idol?
What planet are you living on? My feelings are not hurt in the slightest and the basic truth remains. Pac refused a random drugs test.
So, you are Xaduboxer, that's nice to know too.
You are living in your fantasy world. No, I am not Xaduboxer but you continue to level that accusation. You think that maybe if you accuse me frequently enough, everyone will believe you.
How many people can come onto this site with the exact same agenda? I notice you never posted earlier than when he was banned and you only ever talk about one thing. You have exactly the same agenda and lexical patterning. Must be some kind of clone operation going on. This place is like the new Star Wars films. Just recycled defenders of the empire.
Wow, that's a good argument. Something that will hold up in court. :Sarcasm:
What are you now, a psychic?

Floyd is afraid of his life that's why he's demanding these tests. He's implying Pac did a lot of attempted murders. Don't you think that's closer to my analogy than yours?

Have I asked this to be shown in court?
You really have the brain of a worthless and small dicked Pac obsessive. You are quite annoying.
