R 12. Manny (Floyd ran the entire round... you don't get a point for running like Oscar did against Trinidad...)
6-6 even... you can give an extra round to Floyd if you want, but in no way, shape or form was a score anywhere over 115-113 acceptable. 118- 110 was an abomination.
Ok so you did your best there to give rounds to Pac and you still didn't manage to make pac win like you originally claimed.
Rounds 4 and 6 were Pac's. Other than that he didn't win any other rounds but you could make a case that he won a total of 4 rounds and I'll be nice and let you have it. Noway can you claim a draw or say Pac won without you sounding ridiculous. Pac was losing and looked confused, so did freddie, and pac was trying to steal rounds in the last 10 seconds with a flurry. He didn't win and you can tell he knows that himself that's why they are making excuses about the shoulder.
You may be upset that he lost but come on let's not get carried away with the excuses and BS.

Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
Manny won 3 rounds at most, there's other dickheads too (not just the forum paedophile @ykdadamaja) mostly on facebook who claim Manny was robbed, it was fixed etc etc
Utter Bullshit
Amir Khan is the only fighter with crazy speed and more importantly the fitness levels to have a chance of beating Floyd.
Not saying he will def win but imo he's the one fighter who would push Floyd hardest

I think Khan is the toughest fight for Floyd at WW with his hand speed and how he manages to stick to game plan under Virgil.

Yeah I had him winning 4, 6, 7 & 8.
I watched it at a Rileys sports bar in Harlow and I was amazed at how many people were trying to argue/ justify their case for manny winning. Mostly based around Floyd running.
Scary really. I think Smash is right, casual fans just can't tolerate this style of boxing.
They can't mate, loads and loads of my mates who are into boxing but not like us lot were seriously pissed off and my facebook newsfeed has just been full of people slagging off boxing, saying it's a joke sport etc
You can see their point after all the hype.
Fact is people still wanna see some serious violence and that includes me.
How many serious fight fans hand on heart can say they would prefer to watch what happened on Saturday over an out and out tear up like Ward v Gatti
I know which i'd prefer.
That fight did boxing more damage than it did good ;)

Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
If people are going to pay $100 for a fight that's billed as the biggest in history, a grudge match 5 years in the making, they're going to want to see an intriguing fight. Mayweather/Pac was not an intriguing fight, and yeah it did a lot of damage to boxing I think.
I wish all these people would have saw Provodnikov/Matthysse or Canelo's fight next week instead.

To be honest I'd rather see Thurman fight Floyd at WW than Khan. Sure Khan has crazy hand speed but I really think Floyd would spark him even if he sticks with Virgil's plan whatever that may be. Be that as it may, I don't think anyone else at WW would prove a challenge to Floyd right now.

Floyd ain't sparking or knocking out anyone.
I agree I think Thurman provides better competition than Khan.

I would prefer to see Floyd vs. Kell Brook. TBTH...
But, back to the fight: If this fight was held outside of Vegas, would there have been different scores?? At least a different mode of the fight!

Shawn Porter would beat the shit out of both Mayweather and Pacquaio, and that's what's up.

The fact is, Floyd made an ATG, and the #2 P4P fighter in the world look average.

Thurman deserves a chance more than Porter after his pathetic effort against Brook I think Shawn needs to earn it.
-
Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
I agree but I think Shawn's style has the better chance. It's irrelevant though because neither is likely to get a shot.

I would not want to endure another Floyd fight against anyone but GGG because that is the only person who would have a chance of beating him.

Marquez made him look like spray painted park bench :-X
Weird though, for all that rivalry and time...Mayweather did the same to both, same p4p rank.

Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
The fight is as boring as hell and this is because Pacquiao allowed Mayweather to dictate the tempo of the fight. Floyd cannot be faulted for the hugging and running, most of us expected that from him. Most are also aware that Manny is not going to win by decision. Yet Team Pacquiao did not seem to have anticipated these. They didn't seem to have a plan B or a plan C.
We know that there isn't going to be a rematch if Floyd wins. Pacquiao was given a chance and he blew it. A rematch should not be expected, and from the way the fight turned out, isn't necessary. There should not even be any interest in a second fight after such domination.
I have always supported Manny Pacquiao and bashed Floyd Mayweather. But this time, I have to admit that Mayweather outsmarted him and deserved the win. And everyone should respect the outcome and move on.

Brook need's a bigger fight then porter to make people stand up and take notice, beating frankie gavin or brandon rio's ain't gonna do it.although there is talk of a fight with manny, he needs that big name win.
-
Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
The people who claim Pacquiao won want to give Pacquiao credit for ineffective aggression. One of the criteria for scoring rounds is EFFECTIVE aggression. Pacquiao clearly wasn't effective with his aggression.
People don't realize that aggression isn't just about following your opponent and charging at him like a dumb bull.

He did sign that paper on which it stated it would be considered perjury if it were untrue. I dont think the courts would be itching to throw him in jail but certainly some big fines are possible. I guess the perjury will be up to a DA. Someone from the boxing commission said they were made aware of the injury five days prior to the fight but that was quoted on network news so I don't have any written word I can point to. Fox news was interviewing a retired judge on the matter and he didn't seem to think the whole thing would amount to much. He also brought up the lawsuit against Floyd, apparently he said something dumb about one of his ex girls and she is suing him for slander. He said that one is a ridiculous case and the timing, right after Floyd's payday, says a lot. Apparently she is seeking twenty million. I have no idea if Manny has any kind of diplomatic immunity with his position in the Philipino Government but if he does it may come in handy. So the civil class action suits, at least, has been filed by a couple that bought tickets to the fight and placed bets, they are seeking five million, I think the suit names only Manny although I could be wrong. So we know the civil stuff is coming, one retired judge didn't think it would amount to anything and now we need to wait and see if the government will press on with perjury charges. Sorry, I'm rambling, just trying to figure this crap out.

Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
The United States has no jurisdiction over the Pacman. He can commit perjury anytime he wants in the United States but he will never go to jail there.

Look, Pac, I'm not hoping he goes to jail, I'm just following the story. If I commit a crime in the Philippines I'm not exempt from punishment because I'm an American. You are right, or you could be, I have no idea if Pac has immunity due to his political status. You gotta admit it's a screwed up event. Here I'm thinking the big bum out is Pac losing and now we have this landslide of shit. I have no idea what's gonna happen but it does tarnish one of my favorite boxers in a way I never would have expected. I really want to see this thing resolved so we can see what happens to Pac boxing wise after his surgery, instead, this is the story for now.

Ok then dickhead lets look at the facts, it's a fact that Garcia didn't want any rematch AT ALL - FACT
Peterson was on Steroids when Khan fought him and he doesn't even deserve to Boxing the cheating cunt - FACT
Prescott was a lose lose situation, huge puncher who caught Amir Cold, Amir is still active so who knows if he will someday avenge that loss, you certainly don't know -FACT
Your an even bigger Cunt now in my opinion - FACT
Have you re watched the last few rounds of the Maidana fight yet?
A lot of fighters would have grabbed and help or ran around the ring under such a sustain battering, Amir stood and traded punches with Maidana in one of the most entertaining fights i have seen in years.
Infact when Prescott banged him out he got straight up.
Gutless .... No Heart... Fuck off and do one you mug ;)
-
Re: I had the fight 7 rounds to 5 for MANNY!
Avenging losses for the sake of avenging them is dumb IMO, unless it's done while the guy who beat you is still above you or on your level, or the fight makes sense.
Khan trying to avenge against Garcia makes perfect sense, but why would he want to fight Lamont Peterson? Lamont has lost a few times now since. And why would he fight Prescott now? That loss was at LW 7 or 8 years ago and Prescott has gone to shit since then and isn't relevant anymore. Why would he fight him at this point?

Garcia still has the strap right now and is the #1 ranked guy at the weight
Peterson just gave Garcia fits so what do his past losses have to do with anything, and even if they did, yea he lost a few, none of them being to Khan
Khan should have rematched Prescott right after he got ktfo
and Maidana just gave Mayweather one of his toughest fights before the one sided rematch
soooo why exactly does it not make sense for Khan to be fighting those guys again?
