That is total nonsense because if it was true Brook would have fought at the weight before earning more money and prestige at the weight. Stop believing the sky hype.
You're going to have to explain that to me Master as I have no idea what you're trying to say ;D
Other than the conclusion which you're totally entitled to your opinion on, the rest is fact isnt it?
If Sky or anyone else for that matter have the same opinion as I do on a hypothetical Brook Lemieux fight it's purely coincidence, or sound judgement ;)
How many people were saying Brooks could become a middleweight champion when he was a welterweight title holder ? none.
This fight is only happening because Junior turned it down and sky need their quota of ppv fights even mismatches like this.
Still not sure how any of that makes what I said about a hypothetical Brook Lemieux fight nonsense?
Lemieux would walk through Brook as he has too much power and size.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
I didnt mention power, you may be right, you may be wrong, but for me, Lemieux's 'power' is great at a certain level.
Master they're the same size.

Master, I agree with you completely but for the last last time his name is BROOK not Brooks :p

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
It's not about falling for Sky hype you fucking miserable ponce, it's Golovkin fighting in our country against a 36-0, "world" champion Brit.
For the Brit fans that actually watch boxing, unlike you, it's exciting regardless of whether Kell is in to deep or not. If he's not it's gonna be terrific.

I'm actually really lucky in that respect because I manage to get excited for fights and really look forward to them whilst always being able to see that they are complete mismatches and that Sky are absolute cockwombles
its about finding the right balance
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
im actually very lucky as well but for different reasons
who do you think is gonna win @Batman ?
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
GGG all night long, although I do like Brook and I think he can take it into the later rounds but I think it will end with a stoppage.
Nothing like the Khan v Ginger pubes KO, I think it'll more than likely be an accumulation of punches before the ref jumps in and waves it off.
It would be great if Brook could some how pull it off but it just aint gunna happen

Master they're the same size.
Only because of 24 hour weigh in and somehow Brook can miraculously make welterweight.
I hate Hearn and sky so can see through the crap. There i have said it. Happy now.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Im still not sure what point you're trying to make. If I thought saying Brook beats Lemieux would have upset you so much I would have left it ;D

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Brief bit of a spar between Brook and Liam Smith (this would be a good fight at 154). I'm nuts enough that I give Smith a good chance against Canelo, if not winning making it a close fight.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
A lot of people getting excited over that sparring footage, funnily enough its generally people that think Brook has no chance, this clip proves it.

Curious that neither seems to bother with defense while sparing.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
I enjoyed watching that
Although the video was focuses on brook and what his trainer was saying yet it only showed him throwing a couple of punches and taking a few
Not exactly bigging him up
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Brook/Smith double is over 40/1, that just about says it all about the task they have. If you fancy them they're worth backing in singles (5/1 Brook/13/2 Smith)
I can't see how Brook is gonna keep GGG off - he's gonna be under the cosh from the opening bell, so even if he can last half-a-dozen rounds he's gonna be knackered. Unless of course he carries the weight up, therefore when he smashes Golovkin in the boat it will make him think twice (hopeful that' the case)
Smith is fighting not just Canelo but in Texas. The ref will be clumping him throughout, the scorecards will be filled in 12-0 beforehand and even if he sparked out Canelo they'd DQ him.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
brook will land one and then tie him up
I don't think they are planning on moving backwards like the video suggest, move in with a punch and grab the cunt
-
All of you are overlooking the main reason im not giving Brook a chance which is that he's never been In a pro ring with a Middleweight and this one is an absolute killing machine when it comes to KOs add to that ring experience (does anyone seriously believe 3G will allow Brook to jab and grab all night?).
Brooks getting a serious beating here.
I actually give Smith a much better chance in his fight than Brook does in his.
3G wants the tear up and expect to see him smiling as he walks through Brooks punches visibly enjoying it ;)
The body shots will slow Brook down and be the shots that break him
Ref stops this one inside the distance.
No question.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
i'm not saying jab and grab, more like a fly in with head arm and elbow and then grab and then do it again
it does seem that smith has a much better chance
thing is - does he tho?
Smith needs a double knockout to win, brook needs to win 5 or 6 of the 12

Great Black Fighters In The Prime Rarely Lose To White Fighters
That's just historical fact.
The last time a that happened. You'd have back to when Max Schmeling beating Joe Louis, 80 years ago, in 1936. That is the last time you can say a genuine great black fighter (In his prime) lost to a white fighter. There have been a few borderline cases Marciano beating Ezzard Charles. But ~i can't think of any in recent history
And I would not even say Brook is a great fighter (Yet) But I do know the GGG hype train will come to end on Sep 10th. Triple G is not that good. And many people will be surprised at just how easy it is for Brook.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
You say "Rarely" which is a change from "never".
You are mellowing in your old age.

Oh for gods sake Keith, fuck off back to off topic and keep your bull shit in there.
fucking boring you are mate.
Your post doesn't even make sense, as far as I know neither Kell Brook or GGG are black.

Well sky are bringing out all the usual suspects for the undercard
Callus Smith
paul Smith
Gavin mcdonnel
kid galahad
I thought paul Smith had packed it in, he obviously fancies one last shot at it
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
good luck to him
he'd have to have very fortunate timing to pick up a title
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Anyone else get the feeling that Brook is struggling to get himself ready for this fight?

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Brook is trying too hard, little man syndrome, to convince himself he is big and strong enough to beat Golovkin.
Eubank Junior is in better shape. :)
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
So excited that September is finally here, those three fights back to back will be something else. I don't see Brook winning but should be good whilst it lasts, and the undercard is very strong. Canelo-Smith is another one I'm majorly excited for. Smith is quality and honestly think he's got a chance in this one. Crolla-Linares is such a special fight, the two best in the division fighting to be the best. It's going to be amazing, hope Crolla can do this.
-
Yeah im same as that fella.
Really excited about these fights too.
Finally we are getting bouts at world level with fighters who come to damage and entertain.... not run around the fucking ring pot shotting their way to victory.
Great for the sport ;)
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Leave it to the English to show the yanks how to fight the best ;)
Khan
Brook
Smith
Crolla
BJS and Jr should take note of the above

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Will be fun while it lasts but the reality is this:
1. GGG has stopped everyone as a Pro. If it was not for three opponents retiring on their stools, you are (extremely) likely looking at a 100% KO record at Middleweight.
2. Kell Brook is not a Middleweight and he has no fucking idea what he's got himself into.
3. Kell can land shots but never gets out of there quick enough.
4. GGG don't give a shit about the location, the fighter or the judges, not a single judge at any of his fights has had to do fuck all.
-
GGG will get °°°°sparked•••~~~……~~~………[|[[[|||[]]]]]]][][][][][]]]]]]]|||]]]]
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Brook with give it a go but GGG I fear will be way to much for him I can see why Brook took the fight 3 million pounds has something to do with it good luck you will need it.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
Does anybody have any idea when ring walk is? I'm working at 12 at night so hoping its 11, but with the American audience involved it sometimes is later.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook
i hope it isn't any later than that
im in bed by 11 latest

Kell brook is black but that's irrelevant.
JC beat plenty of black guys and left the sport undefeated..every culture usually has a different type of style but only the best win.
Ignoring the colour of both fighters this fight is absolutely pathetic.
Ward was screaming for GGG awhile ago and because he was such a pussy, ward stepped up to fight Kovalev.
Do I blame GGG for ducking ward..yes..but I also understand business and I understand that GGG wants to get a massive payday with canelo and unify the decision.
So to summarise, GGG and canelo are pussies for slightly different reasons but Ward is fearless and willing to fight anyone..and kells opposition has been awful since porter.

Moving away from Denilsons ridiculous and moronic attempt at trolling, and agreeing with you that it's pretty irrelevant anyway .... but Brooke has a white English parent and a black West Indian parent.
I would think that makes him mixed race. It's a bit of a pathetic distinction but I don't think he could be called technically 'white' or 'black'.
It's interesting that the existence of a small part of 'black' in someone seems to make them black people. Barack Obama for example, the 'first black US president' is half white. Sometimes I do wonder what the required magical percentage of blackness is whereby someone stops Being white and becomes black.
Incidentally, most of the human race is genetically mixed race. Most Europeans (and therefore white Americans) have elements of Asian DNA, most black Caribbeans and Americans have elements of European DNA. Most South Americans have elements of European DNA.
In fact, the most racially 'pure' peoples on the planet are likely Africans and Asians.
What a mess we make of the world because of these minute traces of mitochondrial DNA. I am sorry to say that it seems our American cousins are very fixated on this..

Most people are considered what they look like. Brook looks black so he is labeled as black. Some athletes who are 50/50 are considered white because they look white. It's weird.
