Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Anyone saying “this is the real fight” is talking shit!
Kamegai has about as much chance as Conor in my opinion
The guy has a terrible record in America and he’s never been near this level.
Cotto should be fighting Charlo, Andrade or even Lara
But he’s been given a shot at a paper belt against a soft touch.
I like watching Cotto and I like watching Floyd so I’ll enjoy tonight
As both men should be able to showcase their skills and go through the gears.
Honestly this fight should be on the Mayweather-McGregor undercard
Then I might have been convinced to actually pay for it.

Gonzales v Julio on in a 10 rounder

Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Getting the red headed step child of a card going with Rey Vargas 29-0 facing Ronny Rios 28-1 for a super bantam trinket. They may not be divas, but bet they put some leather together ;D.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Like Vargas in 1st with some seriously long power shots to body-head. For a freakish frame he puts it together well.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Rios trying to work way in with own body work but paying heavy tax for his trouble. Vargas waves him in and smiles and is working a hard long right hand overtime. 2-0 Vargas.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Rios really tucked in and having success start 3rd, good shots to Vargas gut. Vargas waves him in again on ropes, and again and answers with 5 upperhook shots to Rios!! Vargas felt it to the body end round! Held onto arm of Rios who had decent bounce back round. 2-1 Vargas
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Trying to watch both at the same time.... but Vargas-Rios a pretty good scrap so far.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Vargas back on with long to short attack with both hands. Lets himself back to ropes and fights well coming off, absolutely chews Rios up keeping him center of ring. 3-1 Vargas. Rios is going to have to walk thru it to have shot
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
I can respect a ref who gets right to "hey you wanna fuck around don't" ;D warning Rios

How was Tabiti v Cunningham if you caught it?
Vargas turning this into one way traffic in 6th. Starting to drop nice variety of shot. Nice to see a long fighter who finally fights his height ;D
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Vargas a cocky dude. Rios warned again for pushing down on head. Vargas pretty shifty, beats you long and high then ducks in with shoulders and comes underneath with some slicing punches. Rios trying man but he is the definition of 'stuck' on the end in 7th. If they tossed Rios a ladder and a bat no points off at this point.
Corner just gave Rios the Mick from Rocky speech!

Entertaining. Tabiti looked sharp and won an easy decision. Impressed with some of those crisp combinations with good uppercuts mixed in. Cunningham has a chin on him.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
There ya go! Rios on full gas in 8th and hurts Vargas with left hook last minute of 8th. Much better Rios effort for round. 6-2 Vargas.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Rios warned for punching him on the arse apparently :-X. Rios is feeling it in 9th, coming in with purpose and Vargas volume has dropped. Rios also slowed last minute. Rios may have let him back in eating a few uppercuts from Vargas, coin flip round 6-2-1
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Gritty body trading mid 10th, Vargas back to some pop on his punch and Rios more and more stepping back and adjusting trunks taking deep wind. Very well may have run his last sprint and needs some KD's to make difference. 7-2-1 Vargas

Thanks man. Tabiti has look about him just wonder about killer instinct. Cunningham always a road warrior for sure, mass heart and seems like he always gets clipped at some point.

Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Stub Hub with some booing as Vargas in complete control 12th, heart of Rios on his sleeve but Vargas has a pretty deep tool box working Rios just boring in. Annnd Vargas waves him in for the exclamation point at final bell. Should be Vargas pretty wide. Can see Vargas def sticking around as top player

Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
scores in 118-110..118-110..115-113 Varags. Man that is one funny looking kid close up.

Wow I missed that. Roy still a little punch drunk from his last KO loss.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Cotto's on now. :o
Hopefully they'll get done in time to switch over and see some Mayweather spanking of Conor.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Kamegai has the steely look of a guy flying into a Carrier.
ok that was seriously fucked up. Lets see which Cotto we get here
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Fellas trading body shots here! Cotto catching a few shots backing up. Big shot at bell may have stole round for Cotto.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Cotto hit Kamegai with everything with the kitchen sink and Kamegai literally ran back at him for more. :o
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Good movement and picked shots for Cotto. Kamegai with a bloody nose and running in swinging like a caveman end 2nd. Both making contact, be interesting to see stamina of Cotto at this rate.

Hi guys :wavey::wavey::wavey::wavey::wavey::wavey::wavey:: wavey::wavey::D
Kamegai must not hit hard, because I'm surprised at how much Cotto is letting him hit him.
-
Cotto looks uncomfortable

Actually, he's quite comfortable. He's sleeping on the couch right next to me.
Of course, that's my dog Cotto. ;D

Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Kamegai literally running after Cotto chin first. Cotto breathing pretty hard right here in corner :-X

:-*
Yeah, I figured it was time to pop back in here.
He is getting hit too much, but is still throwing hard.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Miguel should go strictly body, as Kamegai seems to have extra shock absorbers inside his skull.
-
Cotto getting better now and beating the tough opponent.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
Hard hole to dig out of for Kamegai in 8th but bit better for Kamegai when he gets Cotto in corner. One way fight but doesn't feel it completely. For 2 yrs out Cotto pretty fluid and consistent.
-
Re: Miguel Cotto v Yoshihiro Kamegai
I love Cotto, and will miss seeing him fight, but i really do hope he retires after one more fight. He has nothing else to prove, and I don't want to see him go out badly.
