Slowing down an 80's track, not generally a fan. But Cruel Summer, c'mon. I don't like watching Daniel fight, he was terrible at it in the 80's.
I’m 3 episodes into series 2 and I have to say now that the magic and nostalgia of catching up with our childhood heroes and villains in series 1 has worn off it’s getting a little bit silly......
I’m hoping it improves
I have watched the first episode and I am sure John Kreese has PTSD and still believes it is 1985.
Not quite sure what he’s bringing to it.

Common sense etc...
2nd episode is cool with the spraying of the car matt black and yellow.
They have carried the theme of Johnny (and now Kreese) not understanding the new PC world with gender neutral or disagreeing with giving medals for turning up on sports day.
Watched the 2nd series now and it was not what I was expecting. It was good to see Johnny and Russo getting on with one another and Kreese being the villain. Very shocking ending and can see Ali, the doctor coming in and saving Miguel’s life when she contacted Johnny by phone. I can also seeing them teaming up and beating the real villains of Cobra Kai.
Hawk is one of my favourite characters.
well thanks for the spoiler alert you complete and utter fucking tit
Just finished it.
Poor season. Needs Ali, Chozen , Mike Barnes, Silver and that Japanese bird back next season
How the hell does YouTube justify 15.99 a month ?
I binged the second series on Sunday. I know it's generally being considered a bit shit given that the first was awesome and the nostalgia trip has somewhat passed. But I really liked it, as much as the first. Johnny carries the series, his time bubble throws up repeated nuggets of comedy gold time after time. The well timed and rearranged tracks from the original film are awesome too.
The story is predictable and we all know whats going to happen but that doesn't stop me loving it.
I did add a spoiler tag but then saw that Master the nonce has already fucked it up. Daft bastard.
Was great to see some of the old Cobra Kai gang, who the fuck was the dark haired dude? Anyway. Ali is coming back for sure, probably to fix Miguel back to full fitness. I hope Johnny gets to nail her even if it's just the once, he deserves it ;D If it's anyone other than Elizabeth Shue I'll be devastated. The one person I would kick Matt Damon out of bed for.
done the first season in 2 days, so will get this one done when love island has finished ;D
Not finished yet, a few left, however, after the first couple of episodes (which I wasn't into) I started to get back into it. Still some cracking comedy/nostalgia (Johnny trying to workout the internet cracked me up and the useless nerd kid is a good addition, we all knew the ungainly Daniel looked pathetic even in his pomp).
How funking old did Bobby and Tommy look? They were unrecognisable without the 80s cut back, if Daniel and Johhny hadn't kept that youthful look the show couldn't have even happened. Dutch must be dead or a miserable bastard, he was as memorable as those two, and did another 80s/90s film I remember with that Karate champion bird, Cynthia Rothwick.
Which dark haired dude memphis?
Dutch was played by Steve Mcqueens son so he probably didn't need the money to appear
Might give The Boys a go as am hearing good things about it
I had never heard of The Boys, after looking at the streaming sites I noticed it's on Amazon Prime Video thingy, finally it has has some use.
So now that Netflix have swooped on this the third series is coming. I stand by what I said, Ali will fix Miguel, Johnny will get to nail her once, even if it's a sympathy fuck/moment of madness on her part, I'd take either. Then Johnny will sort out Creese once and for all the plastic monkey faced cunt.
Larusso is a massive cunt. The cunt couldn't leave it alone as a kid, had to push. Cheated to get into the comp. We all know the All Valley rules state brown belt and above. Used illegal moves during the comp. We'll ignore Miyagi's fucking witchcraft in the locker. Then has the nerve to sit on the All Valley committee deciding if Cobra Kai should be allowed back? The fucking nerve of the cunt.
The child battering demon sorcerer ;D
Chozen and Kumiko are back
So this must be why I see all those Koala Kai commercials?

The grandkids just watched Karate Kid 2.
The Mrs had the new Cobra Kai thing on the other day. Seemed a bit pants tbh.
I agree.
If it was stand alone it would be absolute shite but has just the right mix of nostalgia and references to keep our age group keen. Bringing back the characters from Okinawa this time a great move.
Just Elisabeth Shue remains.
Oh and that log from Sato’s garden that he practices on.
Some prick on Facebook has probably turned Sato's lump of wood into an epoxy lamp or summat.
Really looking forward to this. Definitely going to be binge watching them all Friday or Saturday night.
Season 3 done.
Some proper nostalgic wow moments with the promise of more to come. And a great back story thread I won't say anything more on.
A bit daft at times but this show really works on many levels.
If anyones not seen get it watched.
Did season 3 over the weekend. Initially I wasn't over the moon with it but it built to a decent ending. I find myself giving less and less of a shit about the kids and just focusing on the nostalgia. When the blond haired 'out of town' consultant turned around and it wasn't Ali, I was fucking livid ;D
I love and hate Kreese in equal measure. I love that the All Valley and having the best dojo in town is life and death for him and still means the World. I've no idea if 'All Valley' is an actual place, but I imagine it being a bit like being the best in a small town.
Kreese is basically a murderer isn't he?
That was a clever tease with the consultant.
I reckon Kreese could've given John J a run for his money back in the day.
Agreed its 90 percent about the nostalgia for me too
Been trying to avoid this because of spoilers :-X. Just started S2 premier. The Leo kid is pretty annoying may just be the actor lol. Really like the flashbacks.
The wait for Cobra Kai season 4 has begun. Now that seemingly everyone with a Netflix subscription has finished Cobra Kai season 3 – it's the most-watched show of 2021 so far – the time between seasons feels all the more unbearable. However, there's been some good news: the showrunners have already spoken about eagerly getting filming underway, and season 4 of the Karate Kid sequel may not be the last.

Just realised that Martin Love, who plays John Kreese, was one of the main cast members in Cagney and Lacey!
Yes he was also Ericson in Rambo II.
So season 4 done. I wont say much. I'll leave spoiling it for anyone that hasn't watched it to Master. The horrible fuck.
Aint gonna lie. The gloss has well and truly come off ;D
There's a 5th and 6th series already done/part done apparently. Other than Hawk. Everyone else annoys me. Even Johnny. He's been watered down a lot and it aint right. The original film references were a nice portal into days gone by. Well executed and genuine lump in throat nostalgic moments. Now. It's like every fucking 90's/00's RnB song with the same "I'm like....(insert famous noun here)" lyric. Forced and over the top. Which is a shame. Without all what went before it, Robby's Matrix moment in the tournament would have been pretty cool.
What is cool is looking back over this thread. We were all so excited about who was coming back and where it was going to go. For me, it's gone down the shitter and just getting dafter as time goes on.
I'm 5 in and know exactly where you're coming from sir. Finding it a bit pathetic now and if not for the nostalgia of what it was originally it would be absolutely awful.
Johnny still providing moments but yes he's not even the same.
I still got a man tear when the kata training theme from okinawa came on in episode 2.....
Watched episode 1 with Johnny's Eagle Fang (Eagles do not have fangs ;D) working with LaRusso and it all going to hell.
Miguel mentioning Rocky 3 as an example to get Johnny to work together was classic.
