Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
Listening to the amount of people calling for him to be arrested is mental (Denilson knew the score).
Even more hilarious is hearing black people keep getting censored by white radio presenters for referring to themselves as "coloured" ;D
Presenter - "err, you can't say that"
Caller - "i'm black, I can say it"
Presenter - "you can say people of colour"
Caller - "but i am coloured, black"
Presenter - "please don't say it again"
Couldn't make this ridiculous world up.
This is brilliant.

Nobody harangues you though do they? You are the forums Milo surrounded by your boot boy enforcers. You obsessed with pedalling bullshit propaganda. How many more hundreds of YouTube propaganda videos from the victims you keep telling us are censored by the very company on whose platform they are provided a voice. Lol boot boy enforces wtf is that are you ok dude it seems like it’s you and miles having a talk are the boot boys storming the beaches or you mean miles boot boys in South Korea, here, England wtf is even going on. Gandalf do you have boot boys you haven’t told me about.
Basically Al, Smashup, and others have views that align with mine and somehow I am leader of the blackshirts.
It is basically individuals expressing a view only and Beanz cannot handle them having a view.
Then with the race or non rape issue I just think far harsher things have been said such as Peter Cook declaring himself 'the number one cunt kicker in'. Comedy is meant to provoke, shock and make you chuckle. Sure it isn't very nice, but it doesn't have to be nice. Nobody is dying over a bloody joke, but the new puritans want to control every narrative and unfortunately they seem to be getting their way.
I was watching another sketch yesterday with Rik from the Young Ones gorging on pills to kill himself only to find they were laxatives. Should it be criminalized because it is sending up the crime of suicide? Of course not. People have become utterly ridiculous. We laugh at the shock value 'Bloody hell he is killing himself!' Then 'Haha, he will fart to death!'
How many people have been inspired to kill based on a Bottom 'Hit on the head with a frying pan' sketch? It is meant to be extreme. And it makes you chuckle. Get over it.

Everyone agrees with you lot Miles. The only one expressing a different one is myself and Master and that started a campaign that had me permanently banned and a real push to do the same to Master. That is what is so ridiculous about your assertions. You want like Carl and Yaxley-Lennon to assume victim status and so you turn things on their head just to assume that role. It's not a view its just lie after bare faced lie. You have resorted to the same tactics. You have joined in with the Beanz is angry trope and now even Smashup and Al repeat it rather than make any valid points. Then it descends into 'well he must be a liar' than and you start to invent false claims and attribute them to me. That is how fragile and hyper sensitive you have become. Crazy stuff.
Even here I agree that Baker should not have been sacked but you are not interested in facts and so you pull the PC card and insist that Asians cannot be racist and then you boyfriend Al chimes in with the 'What would you know about Asians' as though living in fucking Bolton makes him the spokesman for Amir Khan and you living in Wrong Korea makes you an authority on 4 billion Asians. I don't give a shit about words or the PC culture you invoke in order to secure a safe space and transform the forum into a replica of the Social media sites you are too high and mighty to use.
It would only be a lifelong dyed in the wool racist sheep that would be offended by the notion of pointing out how many Nazi Sieg heiling thugs follow your heroes around and a committed woman hating misogynist that would be so offended that someone would point out how 'i wouldn't even rape you' is not even by the biggest stretch of the imagination a joke but rather an invocation of threatened violence against a woman.
I forgot you deem it possible to decree exactly what people can get offended by and what they find tiresome or threatening because you are a black Muslim woman. God help you if you meet any whiny white English teachers from Harrogate

Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
I merely asked you for an example of your local racist Asians and you refuse to give me one. If I ask you a question you tell me that is 'not how debate works' or some such nonsense. You are frankly absurd. This is where Lyle started to get annoyed with you.
I know you said you don't have an issue with Baker. Did I say you did not? What you do take issue with is a joke about not raping someone, which in the great scheme of things is hardly a declaration of being the 'number one cunt kicker in'. You particularly hate it because of who said it. If it was Rik Mayall, you wouldn't give it a second thought and you know it.
Walrus asked about 'boot boys' and I explained it. If you are not angry, then why the constant aggression and potty mouth thing. Now I do not mind, but it does sound rather angry. Or are you being satirical?
God help anyone who comes across a whiny Plymouth based snapper with a cork in his arse. See, I agreed not to mention your hometown after nicely explaining myself, but you have chosen to purposely show that you are upset, so get upset. :lickish:

I suppose you and your mate would call that living beyond her means, and yet you are worrying more about Rolex wearing Tommy and Beardy weirdy Carl of Tarragon.

Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
Nobody here knows shit about racism, but it doesn't stop everyone from talking up a storm.
Racism isn't words. It's an attitude and a set of held beliefs. If you say "nigger" in a conversation, but in all honesty do not consider blacks to be inferior or objectionable, then you're not racist. If said person says "nigger" to a black person and the black person objects, usually the first person will refrain from using the word so as to not offend the black person. This is not rocket science. It's basic human nature and principles of human decency. The same goes for every race, ethnic group, gender, and every other worldly distinction which separates us from one another.
You could be squeaky clean in your lexicon and be the world's worst racist.

This is exactly why it's not simple. The crux of this argument is a man got sacked for posting a chimp pic, he swears blind the intent wasn't aimed at black people in any way, he has never done/said a racist thing in 61 years and everyone who knows him backs him up. He has literally fought against racist/facists. However, not only is losing his job not sufficient punishment, whole swathes of society want him arrested. I've heard dozens of black people washing away any defence of him with - "yeah, right, closet racist."
You use the word nigger, regardless of context, how will you prove the intent wasn't racist? Like Batman's example of "niggardly," he was taken to task for fear of offending people who don't understand the meaning, for fear of offending a lack of intelligence. Mad world.

What shocks me most about it it is
Nobody has made a Joke about Danny and Daz and asking someone on the doorstep if they are proud of their whites
Nobody has brought up Meghans hubby actually choosing to dress up as an actual Nazi....for fun :-X ;D

Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
Also @Batman if you are dropping the word 'niggardly' into everyday conversation you are either
Will Self
Jacob Rees Mogg
Or need to cut back on the reading and play ice hockey without a helmet or spar on tarmac. (The world is not a nice place for someone with too many working brain cells)

I hadn't read the article link in the OP, so went back and read it. What's sad is that all this uproar against Baker is amplified because it has to do with a royal baby. Had it been Jane Doe's baby, who knows... the guy would probably still have his job. I tend to lean toward giving Baker the benefit of the doubt. You have to look at a person's background, not just casually wash away over 60 years of personal history. On the other hand, about a year ago there was a furor over Roseanne Barr making a racist Tweet comparing Obama aide Valerie Jarrett to an ape. In that case, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion that Roseanne is very much a racist. That's why these things shouldn't be broad-brushed.

But what if the person does look a bit chimp like? For instance, I have always thought Brad Pitt has a touch of chimp, but it isn't racism. There is a former wrestler on TV here who looks a bit ape like, but I would hardly say everyone looks ape like. People really do sometimes look a funny way. Was Bonham Carter mocking black people when she dressed up as a monkey? I think people have had their brain chemistry altered and just want to be triggered by key words these days.

Context, Miles.
As mature, intelligent human beings, we should be able to discern between the racist and the non-racist. Roseanne, being the lowlife comedienne that she is, was totally racist in her comments. She meant it to be racist, and it came out entirely racist. She got what was coming to her. The chimp/ape thing, I see your point. Unfortunately history is loaded with racist views comparing blacks to monkeys.... so it's tough to come off any other way than racist when you go the chimp/ape route. Yes... some white people look a bit like apes. But comparing a black person to one is going to get you in heaps of trouble no matter what the intention was.

Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
Hardened racism is something you know when you see it. Anyone bouncing around dropping N bombs as insult and slur out in the real world is showing you exactly who they are and don't require the Scooby Doo mystery hour regarding intent or heart considering our National history. It's elsewhere and often more coded and sly. I remember as a dumb little twat in the 70's we learned that 'Fag' was actually a cigarette and describing a homosexual was the slur. It was like Christmas to go start some shat. The next day the class is running around "using it" on everyone because we could then point to the dictionary and say "It means cigarette" like some smartass. Rambling here, forgot this thread was about monkeys or chimps etc. I prefer Silver backs.

That is true and that is why I think it is important to distinguish between jokes and people who are snarling insults at you. However, I think an insult is an insult regardless of race, gender, or sexuality. I have certainly been called a 'fag' in my time, but I consider it no worse than 'cunt' or 'chimp'. The word really only has power if it owns you. I was last called 'faggot' at a military base as some bloated and rather ugly older man walked into the toilets and I was walking out. Sure it was a slur, but at the same time rather than see it as demeaning I thought 'Well, yes, I am certainly slimmer and more attractive than you' and smirked on my way out. The only thing that poor old chap could pull was a trigger. I think it is great when you can provoke a reaction like that for doing nothing at all. Now if it was a bunch of them snarling it and wanting to beat me up for it, then it is a whole new ball park. That's where I think the limits are.

True, but this is where the eggshells thing has become a bit too much. X is not white and made a potentially racist joke, but nobody is going to get upset by it. It is after all only a joke. I think the media basically spends too much time blowing up silly online stuff into drama for views and people are easily psyched. We saw the same thing with MAGA boy. The poor kid was being threatened and dragged through the gutter for racism despite not doing anything at all. The media is responsible for a lot of the drama by hyping up things that are best ignored or certainly would be had a non-white person done it. Personally I do not care if black people want to be racist or anybody for the matter, just as long as it is not malicious or leading to violence.

I've heard the history of Royals - Harry dressing as a Nazi - being brought up several times when people are crying about the terrible life the baby is going to endure in racist evil Britain and the Royal family (i'm honestly offended by people who cry about the hardship of Royals).
The most common reply is - "Just because a white man marries a black woman doesn't mean they're not racist." (like you with the Asian wives club ;D)

I wasn't being racist, just saying that the girl already looks like a monkey, bless her. I'm a bit confused how saying a white woman looks vaguely simian is racist ..... but as you say, it's all getting a bit bonkers.
maybe it's 'speciesist'?
Inalsomthink the comedian Miranda Hart looks like a fish, and Ian Hislop looks like a sloth.

You sound like Danny Baker. BTW, I agree with you.

Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
He wasn't been racist FFS - he's a clever dude. The people that took it as 'racist' are the ones with the issue, they are the one's thinking that Black people are chimps, probably never crossed his mind.
Fucking Royals do my head in. Time for a revolution. How in 2019 can we just accept that this family have a divine right to live in castles and turn up for talks about the plight of poverty in a gold encrusted carriage?
'Oh but they bring in more than they cost' Do they fuck, Paris has enough tourism without a Monarchy, people don't visit historical building to actually meet the queen. Get rid of them all!

It's a bit like your Pepe sig. I and most people here may know you are not alt-right etc, but in the end instead of trying to show how stupid other people are in falling for a prank, you end up looking like somebody who wants people to be outraged so that you can be offended at them taking offense.
People are addicted to outrage and they make the mistake of thinking that it is one way traffic. Carl Benjamin on the BBC today trying to do a Jordan Peterson is a case in point. If he wants to insist that words have no power then you have no right to whinge about the media misconstruing a willfully provocative and offensive remark. To then bottle it, and then rather than like a man admit it was a stupid and childish thing to say, pretend it was a joke, is him acting no better than the majority of people whom he mistakenly thinks he inhabits the moral high ground over.
And yes unfortunately mate, racism is everywhere, and very much more overt and violent in this country in the last couple of years. Citing examples of pretend racism does not make it go away.

Steven Fry does a gesture harmless gesture...turns into a Beanz rant about Peterson and Carl Benjamin. Welcome to the world of Saddo's.

This the interview?;D
He bottled nothing and told the truth, it was a provocative and edgy joke. End of. You live in a horribly tedious world of correctness. Nobody in the comments there agrees with you and neither do I. You must be speaking for the entire UK as usual. And who are these racist Asians too? What did they do to you exactly?
Let people watch and make up their own minds, eh.

It is an argument as those are real people with views and most of them agree with Benjamin which is interesting considering that the BBC only brought up people who were against him and we have no idea where they pulled them from. Notice how they bookended that segment with 'distressed' people upset that he wouldn't rape anyone (and then followed up with another joke) and framed the entire thing refusing to even let him make his points and you are the one here telling him he needs to man up and apologize. You the very same man that won't go near him because you will and I quote 'lose your family and your job'. Hilarious. So, yes, the media does have something to answer for if people are being physically attacked and he has been several times now. I doubt anybody has ever been in turn sexually assaulted motivated by Benjamin's edgy jokes. Less we not forget the original Tweet was years ago and it is the MEDIA splashing it all around the place distorting its intent. 'Rape this' and 'rape that'. It was ANTI RAPE. It isn't like your ANTIFA where it is opposite land.
And I know one is not allowed to ask you questions, but while we are in a thread about race would you care to expand upon these allegations of racist Asians loitering around the South East of England? I really want to believe you, but your evasiveness makes me suspect that you tell porkies.

You've never played 'the circle game"?
WOW
Ummm...just wow

Re: Racism/Chimp Pic/BBC/Royals/Danny Baker Sacked
There's also something called context which people use to discern JOKE (what Sargon said) vs LYING AND GASLIGHTING (what the media does)

Well I suppose you're going to find what you want to find interesting and instructive and you'll read things the way you want :dontknow:
What I read from your article is that 1 anonymous person online (gee that doesn't raise red flags at all) took their time and edited a movie to suit a narrative....the question I have is "What is that narrative?" could be that person really does hate gays and people of color, could also be that person is attempting to push forward a narrative that gays and people of color are victims kind of like reporting hate crime that never happened....but the story doesn't say the truth of the matter it only speculates and shows a few tweets. Hell we don't even know how many times that 'Endgame Edit' has been downloaded....do you wonder about things like that?
Some of my favorite movies feature minorities and gay characters OR gay actors....who do you think you're shocking? Who does this story shock?
The story I shared shows the opposite end of the spectrum which basically states that acting is no longer acting and if you aren't the literal representation of a character dreamed up by a comic writer/artist then you can't ever play that role.....and all I have to say to that is "Good luck Hollywood"
Casting Agent: "You look great and read the lines wonderfully!"
Aspiring Actor: "Thank you!!!"
Casting Agent: "So we're looking for Superman as you know and we think you'd be perfect"
Aspiring Actor: "Awesome! That's GREAT!"
Casting Agent: "So are you an actual alien from the planet Krypton who was adopted and grew up in Smallville and your secret identity is a nerd?"
Aspiring Actor: "...Ummm no? But I could play the role though"
Casting Agent: "Ummmm yyyyyeah see we find that 'acting' is a bit....problematic if you're not the actual thing"
Aspiring Actor: "But then that's not acting"
Casting Agent: "Sorry. NEXT!"
But hey one of these days I'm sure this PC bullshit will nuke itself, I refuse to play that game.
