Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder is game and boxing smart in the 5th. The rounds are close and Smith is the better when he let's his hands go but Ryder does better in the round.
3-2 Smith

Can't think of who.
I'm pretty sure that there was a little Mexican or Argentinian that he made real hard work of and I'm sure there might have been another one or two as well
Callum is struggling to impress here. I think when he is not motivated and scared of his opponent he does not do well.

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Smith landing better shots in the 6th and now finding his range and target.
4-2
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder forcing his fight against Smith in the 7th and forcing him on the ropes.
4-3 Smith

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Tough 8th round with head clash and Callum being forced on the ropes by Ryder.
4-4

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder doing really well here, but I expect Smith to start moving away in these last few rounds.
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder is doing really well, I expected him to come to fight but I thought that Callum would have took control before now, much tougher night for Smith than I was expecting.
Must be because Smith is so scared of Ryder ;D
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder making it really uncomfortable for Callum in the 9th who complained to the ref about the head clashes which is not a good sign.
I have Ryder winning now.
5-4
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Smith boxes well to win 10th round controlling the distance and tying up Ryder when close.
5-5
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Fucking hell! Great round from Ryder, Smith was out on his feet. All the credit goes to Ryder here. Fuck knows what the last round will bring!
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder could pull it off this round. Come on
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Both fighters letting their hands go in the 11th and thrilling fight now. Ryder back in front!
6-5
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
I reckon they’ll give it to Smith or a draw, but if I was Ryder, I would feel hard done by. Superb performance from Ryder, slightly disappointed in Smith.
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder won’t get the decision and if it’s just by 1 or 2 most then fair enough.
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Tough last round and close give it just to Smith but Ryder has done better than anyone expected.
6-6 draw.

Callum must be weight drained and too big for the weight.
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
116-112
116-112
117-111
wasn't that wide, Ryder deserved a closer score card than that
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Not surprised by the UD win but fuck off 117-111
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
117-111 and 116-112 x 2 were too wide.
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Smith sounds disappointed with his own performance, rightly so as well, he didn't look good
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Smith just said that there was no fear tonight
@Master disagrees

So I was right, he was not scared of his opponent.

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
In my Unbias humble non professional unofficial armchair fan opinion.
I though Ryder won that:horseshit:

To be fair to you, Callum Smith said exactly what you were trying to say.
When I first read your post I read it as smith wasn’t performing well because he was scared of Ryder. But now I see what you meant.
On another point, I would fucking bang that Anna Woolhouse big time! One of them pundits must be smashing her! Which one?

I read Masters post the same way that you did, only re-reading it I get what he meant.
And yes, Anna was looking lovely as usual

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
F-ck me, did they read the cards the wrong way? I had Ryder winning 116-112. Fantastic effort, unfortunately the A-side gets special treatment again. Ryder has been on a great run and full credit to him. Did I overrate Smith or did he just have a bad night?

Bad night

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Well being very near to Ringside I had Ryder the winner Smith was very poor.
The sousers were saying shit Smith has lost I was not surprised they gave it to Smith.
But in my opinion Ryder should have been the winner .☹️

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Smith looked flat maybe he needs to move up to LightHW not Smith's finest hour one of his luckiest no doubt.
Ryder was up for it I was thinking this was a easy fight for Smith far from it.!

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Alvarez would destroy Smith

Probably his next fight then. Boxing is a sad sport nowadays.

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Ryder fought well and forced the action, Canelo tears Smith a new A Hole.
He has no chance of holding him off if they fight.
-
Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
If Callum Smith was facing Canelo he would be fully motivated for the biggest fight of his life.
Smith would bring in the form that destroyed George Groves and beat Alvarez.
Saul knows this and will never take the fight.

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Everyone underrated Ryder, he always gives everyone a tough fight and has been "robbed" a couple of times before, fighters like that never get a break because they have no fanbase.
Like Master said, motivation was obviously a big factor for Smith, he's struggled like that before in supposed "gimmes."

Ryder deserved to win yes he has been robbed in the past but that's boxing.
Yep sometimes it stinks and the result for JR stank.

Re: Callum Smith v John Ryder
Smith felt exactly as Master said
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v-WHtqTsrrw
Props to Ryder for what the vast majority feel was a victory
