Am I right in thinking that Smith struggled with shorter fighters earlier in his career?

Smith right eye cut at the end 4th round with a head clash. Ryder did well in the round and Callum laying on the ropes too much and slow.

Ryder is game and boxing smart in the 5th. The rounds are close and Smith is the better when he let's his hands go but Ryder does better in the round.

    3-2 Smith

I'm pretty sure that there was a little Mexican or Argentinian that he made real hard work of and I'm sure there might have been another one or two as well

Callum is struggling to impress here. I think when he is not motivated and scared of his opponent he does not do well.

Smith landing better shots in the 6th and now finding his range and target.

Ryder making it really uncomfortable for Callum in the 9th who complained to the ref about the head clashes which is not a good sign.

    I have Ryder winning now.

To be fair to you, Callum Smith said exactly what you were trying to say.
When I first read your post I read it as smith wasn’t performing well because he was scared of Ryder. But now I see what you meant.
On another point, I would fucking bang that Anna Woolhouse big time! One of them pundits must be smashing her! Which one?

Ryder doing really well here, but I expect Smith to start moving away in these last few rounds.

Ryder is doing really well, I expected him to come to fight but I thought that Callum would have took control before now, much tougher night for Smith than I was expecting.

Must be because Smith is so scared of Ryder
