He is PAC's Filipino trainer, Buboy Fernandez... PAC's childhood friend... Would you believe that PAC became a boxer first before Buboy became a trainer... It's PAC who convinced Buboy to become his trainer!! LOL ;D
Another photo of Buboy at Freddie Roach Wild Card Gym... ;)

Still got a bit more work to get to 100 pages before the end of the fight....I'm sure there'll be a million posts tomorrow though!

Hatton looked tense and too much pressured while PAC looked cool, calm and relaxed.... ;)

It may not be that impressive to look at but I think it's the most conditioned... This time around, PAC doesn't need to drain his body that much...

Im not hating on pac... to the contrary I have always admired his physique for being one of the most defined I have seen with dead on conditioning and lean explosive muscle... He usually looks like a coil spring ready to explode.. this time around I dont see that especially if he is going to with stand Hatton's repeated brutal body punching...
People like to down Hatton for getting KO'd by Floyd... Remeber though, Floyd has a superb chin and took a few flush chin shots as well as repeated bodyshots... If pac being the man moving up in weight dosent have a solid trunk and core he will be tired early on by geting ripped to the body.
Pac will be hurt and staggered by Hatton and will be tested like he's never been tested before..
Pac dosent have Floyds defense or mean dirty streak using elbows and hitting out of the break to keep Ricky in check. That boy has an 8 cylinder motor with about 400hp of straightforward agression that wont let off of the gas

This is just PAC's physique when fighting at higher weights... You're just getting used to PAC being drained at weigh-in... ;) Photo below taken during PAC-Hoya weigh-in...

PAC put his body in heavy testing during training with the likes of Antillon, Linares, Alvarado, etc. PAC's body is ready and fully tested...
PAC doesn't have Floyd's defense but PAC has great speed and can quickly evade any attacks... On the other hand, Floyd doesn't have PAC's explosive offense... Hatton being knockout by a checkhook which is not really considered a power punch... Hatton's chin is really questionable...

His offense is like a fine surgeon carving up a patient, his accuracey is stunning and has consistently posted one of most prolific compubox connect percentages....
So he might not wing a bunch of punches hoping to connect, whenever he throws, he usually lands clean and damaging ;)
JMM broke pac up at 130-135... Imagine what a haunt like Hatton will do.. Pac isint fighting faded stars like Barrera 2 or Morales2-3 or scrubs like Diaz.. JMM drew with him after getting KD 3 times and lost by a gift in there 2nd fight.. The pac hype train is going to get derailed by slick Rick the Hitman;)

I disagree. He took flush shots from Tszyu, Urango, Collazo, and was never stopped (though he was badly hurt by Collazo). Mayweather tattoo'd him all night before stopping him. He was buzzed by Lazcano, but fighters get buzzed all the time and he was never badly hurt.
It wasn't the power of the check hook that dropped him (he was not knocked out by it), it was the fact that he never saw it coming.

OK, I'll credit the KO to the ringpost instead of PBF's not so powerful checkhook... ;)
I'm afraid Hatton needs to be alert at all times... PAC is known to throw punches in bunches from all angles... Opponents usually accepted after the fight that PAC is so fast and they didn't see those punches coming...
.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Manny should be alert at all times too. He hasn't stopped anyone properly above 135, and he hasn't taken a punch above 130....

Final thoughts:
"I'm the bigger and stronger guy..."
- Remains to be seen but to add, bigger and stronger doesn't always win fights...
"This is my house, I'm unbeatable at 140..."
- No one is unbeatable...
"People were reading too much on Manny's last fight..."
- Team Hatton was also reading too much in that fight. All they saw was a punching bag in Hoya... Big mistake...
;)

Bigger and stronger is a plus.
He's pretty good at the weight, and that kind of mind view can only be a plus.
People are reading too much into Manny's last fight. And that will show in this one.
From losing to Marquez to destroying Oscar. It was the same Manny Pac in both of those fights. He's beatable. ;)

who you trying to convince miles, us or yourself? lol
kidding aside, i believe hatton will bring his a-game to this fight and will give pac something to think about in the early rounds. that's why he has to connect and put some damage to manny while he can coz i can see him being clocked time and again. it will be rough and tumble in the early goings but once pac starts to connect on a regular basis, i think hatton will throw caution to the wind and forget all sr. has taught him and reverts to his former style. this is where it gets interesting. he could either catch pac with some good ones, especially to the body but team pac has trained well for that and will have to receive several of it to take its toll. pacquiao, imo has grown into this division and can take heavier blows since he willingly lets his bigger sparring mates hit him from time to time without flinching. i don't think ricky can catch manny enough and i think he'll get stopped between the 6th and 9th round either from a punch that he wouldn't be able to see or due to cuts.

Saddoboxer posts too much, it's almost like an obligation to counter all his anti Hatton/pro Pac propaganda. :-\
I hate the wait after the weigh in, I just want to see them go at it now.

Just came back from a 3-day conference. My prediction for this fight: Pac will stop Hatton before the 6th round.;)

Even if it's only a few punches and so short of a fight, I think that's the worst beating ever on Hatton...
Hope Ricky can recover well...

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Pac did indeed inflict the worst ever beating on Ricky Hatton.
A horrible, horrible fight for Ricky and a punishing ending to boot.
For a good two hours after the fight I was barely able to speak. I was mortified by what I saw. And I just hope Ricky is okay.
I don't think that was the best Ricky Hatton I have seen. He had no guard, no headmovement, no jab, and most importantly he wasn't being smart.
I'm not making excuses as we can all see those things quite clearly. Hatton was in his weight class and got beaten down quickly.
Well done to Manny Pac in doing something quite stunning.
And, bruce lee, let me know what my avatar is to be and I will put it up for an entire month.

thats how hatton fight right?
nothing really changed really, cause even if you teach him what to do he will eventually go back to the old hatton cause of pacs speed. i mean what can a guy do if ur being pummeled by a hundred punches you cant just cover up and hope that the combos from pac will end cause it wont.

Yes, but these are the things he has been touting for a year now and none of it was on display.
Maybe it was just Manny that made him look bad, but he really looked shockingly poor. I've never seen Hatton look like that.
Even the likes of David Diaz have managed to hang in there. It makes me think that Hattons chin has left him high and dry. The very fact that it took him so long to get up from the knock out blow, tells us that his chin is shot. The first meaningful blow and he seemed to be panicking and next thing you know he's down twice and clearly very rattled...and it's just round 1!
Manny did an excellent job, but I'm puzzled by Hattons performance. It really was very odd.

After that KO no one can deny that Pacquiao inflicted the worst beating on Hatton.

It was scary as hell seeing him not moving and gasping for air like that. His eyes were gone. It was horrible and left a really sickening feeling in my stomach. He was down for ages, must have been a few minutes.
It's very, very disappointing that it turned out like that. I think the difference between the two is that Manny is able to carry out his plan and not get too flustered when faced with resistance. Hatton on the other hand gets reckless and everything seems to go out the window.
It's a shame for Hatton, but Manny is obviously turning out to be very special so I have no ill feelings.
What's done is done.
-
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
maybe it was the noise, singing british fans that boosted his confidence and underestimated the power of pac's punches...instead of a fighting plan, like what he paid floyd mayweather for, he brawled like he used to fight taking off his guard...
-
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
no man, hatton and mayweather had a plan. pacs style is really easy to decipher. pac only adds a little in every fight he takes, like the right hook it was there since morales. but what gets them is how fast pac is, hatton thought he is as fast and stronger than pac thats why he wasnt covering up all he wanted to do was counter pac and go in for the body punches.
hatton just went back to his old self cause he has no choice. he cant block most of pacs punches he cant clinch that much when he did pac held hattons head then smacked it with his right glove. heck hatton was covering up and the last punch pac threw on the 1st round went right through hattons gloves.
aside from super human abilities :) pac is p4p cause he listens and follows roach advice.
ive watched this fight for the tenth time local channels here in PI replayed it a gazillion times already. the more i watch it the more i see what really happened hatton no matter what he does will eventually get kod by pac. and the way hatton went down was really bad, right after the ref stopped the fight pac instead of celebrating right away just walked towards hatton similar to what he did to diaz.
from the moment pacs glove made contact with hattons chin pac knew that its over and he knew that hatton was really hurt. it showed genuine concern on pacs side thats why he didnt celebrated right away..
and yes though short pac indeed inflicted the worst beating on hatton.
-
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Pacquiao sure inflicted the worst beating ever on Hatton, not only physically but emotionally as well. Manny's baffling speed make the great fighters look past their prime when confronted with it, Ricky's turn was last night.
De la Hoya had his, and the rest of the hall of fame batch of fighters before.
Hard to imagine this phenomenon happening right before our very eyes and ironic only the "Pac-nuthuggers" understand and unthinkably, GET IT!
-
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Shocked at this result, just cannot believe it. That Manny Pac is something special to do that to Hatton. No excuses.

Thanks Pre...
Yup, I'm grateful to Saddo Admin and to the MODs that they let this thread flow even if there were many members here protesting the opinions posted as delusional, nonsense and absurd...
Well my intention is to present the opinions of PAC believers specially those coming from Coach Freddie Roach since when it comes to PAC's fighting abilities, it's Roach who knows best...
As usual, I think I have to add these smileys at the end ... ;) ;D
Good Day...

Thank you to all who have shown support to Pacman and to those who have signed up as new members of the Pac groupies. I would like to respectfully nominate Saddoboxer as our president. ;D
Saddoboxer let's create our little organization here. We can meet sometime in the Philippines for our conference.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Well the verdict is in and the answer was a resounding yes, what a shocker. I think we all knew it could happen but not quite so easily. He's too proud to make excuses but you do start to wonder if there is something not right with Hatton or did he simply get clocked by a much better man.
Hope Pac gets a crack at PBF, he would F*** him up on the performance, PBF can dance all night but I think Pac is a man on a mission !!
Well done Pac and congrats to you and your fans, I hope you go on for a few years more and strike the same terror into other fans as you have with some of us Hattonites.
