Could you be as fast as an olympic 100m sprinter? No. They have a gift that you don't.

They have a passion for training constantly. Whereas I'm probably no more willing to spend more than an hour or so running, they're willing to spend all day training.
Re: Is it possible for me to become faster than Sugar Ray Leonard?

About four miles from where I live Paul Hession bases his training.
He's a skinny white guy from Athenry, yet he's going to the Olympics as he's top class. He's parents are fat from lifestyle.
It can be done, but training must start at a young age and mentality is important.
Re: Is it possible for me to become faster than Sugar Ray Leonard?
without question, wanting it and training for it can help.. a lot. But you also have to have some natural ability to go with it.
My dad could run like the wind. I'm slow as shit, and I wanted desperately to be fast.. I even worked with sprinting coaches. I got faster, but was never as fast as he was. He had it, I didn't.

Very strange that.
Environmental factors would take their effect I guess.
Didn't you mention you had a problem with your leg?

Not to mention it can also be HOW you train. Like my old weight training coach used to say! "You wanna work hard, but working hard alone ain't enough. You wanna work better, you wanna work SMARTER"... :)

One can work too hard.
Training smart is the way.
I've trained like an animal for long periods for dedent results. Lately I've trained less in different ways for short periods and seen much more.
