Re: OK prime Julio Cesar Chavez vs PBM
ok yea thats kinda true. But take in consideration that if JCC and PBF fought, if JCC was loosing he would be doing whatever he could to win (lowblows, headbutts anything).
he would take the victory aha!
ok that was my wholepoint when i posted this i was just saying that it would be a bad@ss fight thats all and then you'all started hatin on JCC na J/K

Re: OK prime Julio Cesar Chavez vs PBM
OK Floyd vs these guys
Duran @ 130: Duran is one of the GREATEST ever at this weight, he's strong, tough, a good boxer with POWER. When he caught Floyd it would be ALL OVER...imagine Jose Luis Castillo but tougher and more powerful
Sanchez @ 130 now Chava was one of the better fighters at 126 but he could have EASILY made the move up to 130 and dominate.
Leonard from 140-154 he was one of the fastest slickest and best boxers ever. He's too quick and too slick for PBF
Hearns 147-154 his power and boxing skills are undenyable. He would blast Floyd out EASY.
ODH from 130-154 he would be too tough to KO and slick enough himself to win a decision and he has more power than anyone Floyd has stepped int he ring with
Mosley 135-154 he's quick, tough and has more power than Floyd...you don't brawl with him for too long
M. Taylor just like Shane but threw the quickest combinations I have ever seen
Pryor one tough SOB at 140 there are very few who could last 12 with him
Basillio at 147 beat a Prime Ray Robinson....that good enough reason for you??? He's small but packed a hell of a punch and had great workrate
Robinson 147 one of the GREATEST P4P EVER!!!
Whittaker 147 he's slick, he's quick, and almost impossible to hit
Trinidad 147-154 he's got great power like Hearns and he knows how to use it
Wright 154 best defensive fighter out there today
Arguello 130-135 big, powerful and a good boxer
Those good enough reasons? I mean I think if you really want to talk about it explain to me why Floyd would be favored in any of those fights?

Lyle, it was Oscar de la Hoya who postponed the highly anticipated November 4th showdown with Mayweather until next May, not the other way around.
Re: OK prime Julio Cesar Chavez vs PBM
Because his pops said "I don't want Floyd to get hurt"

Man I love this forum..
Re: OK prime Julio Cesar Chavez vs PBM
its too tough to determine right now since floyd has finished his career. he needs to step up more against guys like margarito and delahoya. if this is his peak i dont take him over chavez, but hey some more wins over big names in the next couple years maybe ill change my mind. oh, and about chavez giving a title shot to a guy who was 0-0-0. i looked up his record and the only opponent with that record was for a non title fight. which is fine because those fights are not mandatory and just glorified sparring to keep a fighter sharp for bigger fights.
Re: OK prime Julio Cesar Chavez vs PBM
Uncle Roger can tell Lil Floyd all about prime 130lbs Chavez... Well about 6 minutes of JCC prime anyway! ;)
Chavez would be too intense for young Floyd.
Chavez WU12 (8 rounds to 4)

AND I MEAN NO ONE...Wanted to fight that man...Believe me there was no shame in that....

Marciano and Dempsey would beat Tyson...Tyson had the greatest lack of heart and dedication out of any heavyweight champion I know whereas Rocky and Jack had more than enough...you think those guys were afraid to get hit??? You don't think Dempsey was a tough mother fucker??? Firpo knocked him OUT OF THE RING and Jack STILL came back to KO him!!! As for Rocky he was knocked down and behind on points but still able to win vs a couple guys.

At prime IMO Tyson would be to much for either of them...Thats not to say they didn't have more heart than Tyson...But Mike was too strong and fast for either....Again we are Talking Prime Mike that still had Rooney in his corner
Re: OK prime Julio Cesar Chavez vs PBM
Doesn't matter these guys didn't get bullied by anyone...and do you know the type of punishment each was able to give AND TAKE???
Sorry to burst all the Tyson fan's bubbles but he wasn't good enough to beat ANY top 10 All-Time Greats at any stage of his career

Sorry guys I was just trying to bust Lyle's ballz out of fun...This thread is about Mayweather and JCC....Lyle and I have respectfully argued the Tyson vs Marciano, Frazier, Foreman, Liston many of times..
Tyson did display heart in his prime He had a good chin and was rocked many of times and kept his composure..I think Tysons chin was very underrated he never went down from questionable shots...Douglas absolutely waffled him with that Combo, in the tenth round of the Holyfield fight he was absolutely crushed with that right hand....Lewis put him to bed with that combo... My point is Tyson got stopped always in the later rounds, if he fought Marciano or Dempsey would be a gun fight, those fights would never see the 5th round To my recolection a Prime Tyson NEVER lost a gunfight.........OK lets start talking about Mayweather again.....Much love to you Lyle......I always wanted to ask you about your avatar..Are you holding a broom in that picture??

Excuse me, but what top 10 heavyweights of all time did Marciano or Dempsey beat ??? If Joe Louis is about to come out of your mouth, then I guess Trevor Berbick deserves credit for beating Ali too huh? And let's not be one of those Marciano fans who tries to squeeze in 2 195 lb. fighters into their top 10 just to make Marciano look better ;)

The only thing Roger and Floyd have in common is the same last name :) Saying Floyd is at the same level as Roger would be like saying Terry Norris is at the same skill level as Orlin.
p.s.--If you think Floyd would lose 8 rounds to Chavez I got a bridge to sell you ;)
