Yeah I believe he won the second won convincingly, and I thought he won the first one simply because he was landing way harder, and cleaner shots... Castillo landed more shots but most of them were while the two were tied up or the occasional right hand getting through. Two other fighters I didn't mention that Mayweather fought are Jesus Chavez, and Emanuel Burton. He also fought Henry Bruseles(yawn), and more impressively Demarcus Corley in close. My point is that Mayweather is a far more rounded fighter than Pacquaio, and a better athlete with a better chin.
One thing Floyd is not over Pac is a better athlete. Floyd is obviously the much sounder technical fighter. As it stands right now...Pac must be ranked higher than Floyd simply because his resume is much more impressive. He has fought 3 GREAT fighters in Morales, Barrera, and Marquez. As far as i'm concerned, Floyd has not fought one great fighter (and that includes Castillo). Does any of this mean that if Floyd and Pac fought...Floyd wouldn't win? No. But at least Pac can back up his pound for pound status with fights against great opposition.
Sure. Pac deserves to be top 3 P4P, but not number #1. Pac simply hasn't done enough yet. Pac hasn't proved that he can span weight classes and still be effective against championship level competition. Floyd is attempting his fifth weight class in May and he has fought championship level competiton in each weight class. As a boxer, he is miles ahead of Pac. People forget that actually boxing skills matter in determining P4P and no one can say that Floyd isn't the best boxer in the world. No one has his skills, but if Pac can move up to 135 and clean out that division, then "Who's #1 P4P?" becomes a valid conversation.
pac started out as a flyweight and is now a superfeather, while moving on these weight classes, he won a couple of world titles and demolishes all the great and future hall of famers in the featherweight division. imo, pac deserves #1 p4p consideration.

Yo JTRock, if Floyd is just entering his prime now, then why is he retiring now. I'm a huge fan of Floyd's but him retiring pisses me off. I've supported him so much and he cheats me by pulling a Barry Sanders. I want to see Floyd vs Cotto, Margarito, Judah 2, Williams, etc. Definitely interesting to imagine a fight between those two, but the question is who beats who on the P4P rankings...right? or was the question worded incorrectly.

As much as I don't like Floyd for his sissy career management and as much as I like Pacman for his style and resume, I can't see Pac getting to Floyd at all. Pac is a huge puncher at 130, but I think that at that higher weights, Floyd has survived harder hitters than Pac. I give Pac an edge in heart, but that's about it.

Well your prime is your prime regardless if you continue your career or not... I doubt Floyd is retireing though, this is just to generate more interest and appeal to his showdown with Delahoya as it being his self-proclaimed last fight
Oscar is just a colossal pay day and both him and Floyd will work every last angle and squeeze every last dime out of this fight from a marketing standpoint...
Floyd will be around for quite a few more years after Delahoya ;)

I'll say it again like I said it before... Floyd is still young and I dont blame him for maximizing his earning early on, boxing is a cruel sport that has left many desolate in there lives when there career is over, injury and tragedy can strike at anytime... I honestly believe that Floyds been waiting for this moment his whole career and will be his biggest payday by far, all this retirement talk is just to cause a dramatic storyline to add another profitable angle to this fight..... After this there are many directions he can go... Guys gotta stop being so friggin critical ;)

Mayweather doens't seem to be cleaning out any divisions. Not at 140 or 147. Not at 154 either. The argument for Pacman is simple...
The wins over Barrera and Morales and the draw with Marquez propell him upto the top 3. Those 3 fighters are greater than any of the opponents Mayweather has fought. The one Mayweather opponent you could consider as close to great is Castillo and no matter what the record says, most nuetral fans would agree that castillo won that fight byabout 3 or 4 rounds. Mayweather's body language at the end of that fight suggests that he knew he lost. I know he went on to beat castillo in the rematch (and he did, quite easily), wins over Corrales, Jesus Chavez, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Mitchell just don't compare to stoppage wins over future greats Barrera and Morales. He's not stuck around in a division for long enough to truly domintate it. If he did, there would be wins over Casamayor, Hatton, Cotto and even Margarito on his record. Even if there is the great possibilty of him beating all 4 of these guys, he hasn't fought them and there is arguments suggesting that each of these guys stand more of a chance than any of his past opponents. I also believe the fact that Mayweather hasn't fought outside of his homeland is possibly a factor. Pacman has on numerous occassions. As has Winky Wright. I believe the ability to perform away from home is a factor when determing how great a fighter is.
As for saying that Pacman has not moved up in weight and cleared up is irrelevant because Mayweather has only ever 'cleared up' at super feather. Also a fighter with an all action style like Pacman would be advised not to move up through the weights as eventually he will run into a fighter who is too big and strong for him. Mayweather's style allows him to move up the weights mainly because he is so effective at making size and strength become less of a factor. His technical ability allows him to move up and down a number of weight divisions, but the minute he engages with a bigger, stronger, harder hitting fighter could spell trouble in the same way it would for Pacman if he engaged in an all out brawl with a Welter weight.
For the record i do believe Mayweather is light years ahead of ANYBODY when it comes to technical ability. And i do actually think he could 'hang' with the likes of Leanord, Duran etc...
But i can see the argument for having Pacman in the top 3.....based on what i have posted above.
