Why on earth would Hatton duck Witter ??
He is a big mouth, a fraud and cannot back up his talk in the ring. He got what was deserved last night, GETTING OWNED :lolhaha:
I think Witter show'd his age last night, he lost a split decision to a younger hungrier fighter hardly getting owned? some might say getting owned would be
getting ko'd into the turnbuckle ;) your celebrating like Hatton ko'd him but the fact still is Hatton always ducked him
Its funny people always bring the turnbuckle into play because I recall Hatton getting up after that incident, watch the fight again I suggest and you'll see ;)
HATTON GOT OWNED BY THE P4P BEST 5 WEIGHT WORLD CHAMP MAYWEATHER. WITTER GOT OWNED BY A GUY WHO HAS NEVER BEEN 12 ROUNDS BEFORE AND HAS FACED NOBODY IN THE TOP 25 AT 140 POUNDS ;D
Good day sir :D

At 34 years old it was only a matter of time before Witter come unstuck.
Bradley did what Hatton should have done. And his standing in boxing - especially Brit boxing - would be a whole lot higher.
Hatton would have ALWAYS gone down as the far superior fighter to Witter, but without facing and beating him the question remains....[/quote]
No Fenster the question doesn't remain.
Ricky Hatton's wins at 140.
Kosta Tszyu RTD 11 (Kosta was IBF champ, P4P#2 at the time)
Juan Urango W12 (Juan was IBF Champ)
Carlos Maussa KO9 (Carlos was WBA champ and KO'd a Witter opponent in Harris)
Jose Luis Castillo KO4 (Castillo was considered the biggest threat to Hatton at the time)
Junior Witter's biggest wins.
Andreas Kotelnik W12 (A guy who beat a blown up lightweight in Gavin Rees, big deal )
Vivian Harris KO7 (A guy who was also KO'd in 7 by a Hatton victim)
Colin Lynes EBU champ (Lynes could have got the nod some people believe)
Lovemore N'dou (Yes he beat him...and....:-\)
Hatton has the best wins BY FAR at 140 pounds at it is evident Witter needs Hatton, NOT Hatton needs Witter ;) ;)
You and others have made Hatton out to be avoiding Twitter like the plague, what is so good about Witter ?? he switches his style  big wow.
Hatton hasn't ducked him at all, even VD said he used it to hate on Hatton coz there ain't nothing else to use. Hatton-Witter would not be a big match, Witter is boring and has no credible opponents on his record, at 34 he made his debut on US television, that says it all.
Good day sir ;D
Most of what you say is understandable, but Castillo was the biggest threat to Hatton?? He was old, moving up in weight, and appeared to be a shot fighter in his previous fight. I don't think many people thought Castillo had much of a chance against Hatton.

Hatton was 1 and Castillo was considered number 2 to Hatton, thats not what I say, it's a fact.

Who considered Castillo #2 to Hatton? He'd had one fight at 140 and many people (myself included) thought he was given a gift decision against an unknown fighter. Pretty much everyone had Hatton beating an old, shot Castillo.

A number of people, did you hear beforehand anyone say why he is fighting Castillo ?? he is old etc ?? plus did anyone say he is shot ?? no, it's only afterwards and Castillo was not shot, watch the 3rd round, he dominated Hatton.

You're missing the point.
I have NEVER stated Witter was BETTER than Hatton or his accomplishments come CLOSE to Hattons.
The fact REMAINS if Lazcano and EVERYONE ELSE on Hattons record barring Kostya, Floyd and Castillo were WORTHY opponents then Witter was too.
VD hasn't got a fucking clue about anything. He's the last person you wanna use to try and reinforce your view ;)

I recall plenty of people saying that Castillo was old and shot, which he was, based on his fight with Herman Ngoudjo. Hatton stopping Castillo was somewhat impressive, but the fact is that Castillo was well past his prime.

I said myself he was past his prime but IMO I don't believe he was shot.
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
I'm not a fan of either and honestly don't care that much either way but it seems odd that Hatton never fought him. The fight just makes sense.
And Fenster's got a point, if it was fine for Hatton to fight all the other guys that he fought why not Witter?
Curiously some of the reasons put forth sound a little like Floyd fans during the whole Margarito controversy.
It was silly how so many American fans got so riled up about this matchup. Like they really cared that much ;D Clearly just a method of bashing Hatton.

I'm not trying to bash Hatton, I quite like him, but it sure appeared he was avoiding Witter. Much like PBF avoided Margo.
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
I'm just saying though, was anybody that interested in seeing this fight get made? I mean its a solid fight but for a minute there it was being discussed like it was PBF/Hatton, Calzaghe/Kessler.

It really was, when I say Floyd ducks Cotto I've got valid reasons. Cotto has fought the better competition at WW than Floyd and has looked exciting in the process mataining and undefeated record.

I wasn't, I knew Hatton would win easily, Witter was being touted as p4p number 1 by some people on here  pathetic.
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
lefty Hatton still should have fought him at some point. The fight made sense, two fairly well known British fighters in the same division pretty much their whole career?
Witter Number 1 P4P? Who said that?

That was the implication of p4p number 1, he was made out that he would do worse than what Mayweather done, all he done was KO Vivian Harris in the Doncaster Dome :lolhaha: big deal.
