Style, speed, accuracy - he would be outnumbered on all fronts and but for a resiliant chin and the fact its the heavyweights i would of given him slim to no chance.
is this a joke seriously, ....
and as far as his size goes it could make him a threat but he never wants to get close enought to use it as it may lead to him actually being involved in a FIGHT and we all know fruadley ddoes not want that
he still very much has an amatuer style he would be more suited to something like fencing i think.
there are a couple of things i dont get here though , i thought the voluntary defence rule stated the challenger had to be inside the top 10 in their rankings, also david haye said today on bbc2 i think it was that he was set to make an important announcment withtin the next ten days and the wbc have already said hell go in as a top 10 heavyeweight in their rankings
it seems unlikley but maybe warren is not going to send harrison to his slaughter after all, and it could be his new prize signing that will fight peter
Im talking in terms of the ability to sell a fight
Nobody but nobody loathes how fraudley has gone about his pro career more than myself. The guy has been shown up on endless occasions to be a one trick pony that doesnt wanna get his hands dirty and has a chin as soft as a roll of tissue paper.
But audley still has that ability to put bums on seats throughout the uk. Your average sports fan wont have a clue who matt skelton is, ask them who audley harrison is and they`ll tell you what he does for a living, looks like, even what division he fights in.
However much we all hate harrison theres no denying that even after everything that has gone on he is still much more viable from a marketing perspective at a world title shot than any matt skelton, michael sprott or other british heavyweight around at the moment (barring haye)
i get what you are trying to say with regards to him being known more than skelton
however who in their right mind will pay to watch a harrison fight when the bloke obviously doesnt even like FIGHTING, hell make it a bore fest and ye people know what he looks like because they saw him get ktfo by sprott and his face bounce off the canvas
also whoever it is it wont sell that well to the general public who are not hardcore fans as most will think samuel who ....? the only way fraudley helps sell this fight is if warren promotes it as pay 50 quid to watch big audrey get smashed to bits again
the guys a bum and i may get slated for this but however a more viable opponent for peter in my opinion would be danny williams, he comes to fight i dare say more people know who he is and would be willing to pay to see him and having the name tyson on his record helps alot with pushing him to casual boxing fans

It's not a joke, him and Don King have agreed a deal for Sam Peter to fight at the O2 on the 12th July.
welcome to uk boxing from sports network
Re: Peter to defend against either Skelton or Fraudley on July 12
Any confirmation on this yet? Apart from the article on FrankWarren website. Supposedly a announcement being made today.. I'm eagerly awaiting.
I would be backing Auddley(who I think out of the 2 is more likely to get the fight), but I still think it's a joke of a fight.
Re: Peter to defend against either Skelton or Fraudley on July 12
How the fuck can they justify Audley Harrison fighting for a world title
He's lost every time he's stepped up in class, losing to Dominic Guin who EVERY prospect gets by unscathed, lost to Danny Williams and even got ktfo out by MICHAEL SPROTT!
Harrison is at the back of the queue for even a domestic title shot, this has to be the most undeserved title shot in heavyweight history
What happened to Peter fighting Vitali?

this is a tune up for the vitali fight
i cant believe so many people are making out that harrison beating peter in the ams gives him a chance
cotto was beat by kelson pinto twice as an amatuer but as pro's cotto bounced him round the ring all night
it means nothing !!!
Re: Peter to defend against either Skelton or Fraudley on July 12
If Audley gets the shot iam sure we are gonna hear how he beat Peters in the amatures and he is gonna do the same to him again.
Re: Peter to defend against either Skelton or Fraudley on July 12
I doubt Audley has the balls to fight Peter.
Even if they announce, and sell the fight as Harrison-Peter, expect a last minute change to one of the other Brit plodders.
If it does happen - I'll be betting on Audley to get DQ'd for NOT fighting.

Kelson pinto never won an olympic gold medal
apart from that, comparing samuel peter to miguel cotto is ridiculous.
Peter is a great fighter who is probably the hardest hitter in boxing when he really unleashes, but this is the heavyweight division of 2008 not the 30 year dynasty from yesteryear.
Audley harrison won an olympic gold medal, and anyone that hadnt paid attention to his farcical proffessional career with the bbc and saw him KO Danny williams within 3 would of told you the guy is the real deal.
Should audley be a world champion - No, he has done sod all to deserve it
But i can name you an endless list of previous champions held within the same regard as fraudley!!
Re: Peter to defend against either Skelton or Fraudley on July 12
i didnt compare cotto and peter as in sayin their similar im saying beating some one in the ams doesnt mean youll beat them as a pro pinto/cotto is merely an example not a comparison
peter is a great fighter .... erm no he is good no were near great wlad bounced him, mcline beat him up
yes but thats just like saying anyone who hadnt paid attention to the career of castillo apart from him getting smashed by hatton would think he was useless
because at the end of the day people do know about audleys loss's his fear of being hit etc
one decent win against a good domestic oponent does not make a career by any stretch of the imagination
go on then give me this list im interested to see it as anyone has got to level of being a world champion should be held in higher regard than audrey

i cant
williams apart the guy has beaten nobody and got beaten by nobodys.
I honestly 100% cannot give a viable reason why audley harrison should be given a title shot other that the distinct hope that in with "international class" oppo for the 1st time may just get the best out of him and make him come out of his shell.
world championship boxing is a business before anything else, in particular with the WBC. It has been that way for years and will remain so.
Warren has the cash, the venue and the fighter - peter has the belt. You dont need to be a great mathmetician to realise from a business perspective it makes good sense!!

then what is your point that people whod seen the williams fight would think his good you know his no good and so do i cant see what point you are trying to make if you know how bad he is
Re: Peter to defend against either Skelton or Fraudley on July 12

I was just saying that on that particular night to your average observer who hadnt seen his shananigans(sp?) before, he would of looked the part.
6 foot 5 odd, excellent physique, good reach. If only he never punched like a feather duster he`d knock every opponent out before they made him look an arse......again!!!
