Lefty,
If Lazacano had Hatton shakin' rattling and rolling what leads you to believe that JMM can't do the same?
JMM hit's harder and is a lot more accurate then Lazcano.
Hatton would eat JMM combinations all night long.
Hatton would have to smoother JMM against the ropes but if you know JMM like I know JMM you know he wont let that happen.
I hate the way people state how Hatton was on the verge of getting KNFO by Lazcano. He got wobbled a little once. Just like he did against Juan Urango with a body shot. He didn't look close to going down though. JMM couldn't handle Hatton's pressure and bigger size. Plus Marquez ain't got a great chin, when Hatton throws his bombs Marquez will be hanging on for dear life. He won't get an easy ride with Ricky in the opposite corner. JMM hasn't faced nobody close to Ricky Hatton :)
Re: MArquez the greatest Mexican of this era....
JMM is indeed an exceptional fighter, not as great as Morales and MAB but by the time he finishes his career he could be.

in terms of overall ability and p4p greatness - a certain Marco Antonio Barrera comes to mind
and also with power i would say Pacquaio p4p hits a lot harder with individual shots than hatton does
Re: MArquez the greatest Mexican of this era....
Barrera is still by far the best of our era IMO. He had way more tread on his tires when he fought Marquez to a near draw IMO, and Barrera won the trilogy against Morrales.

I meant style wise. Hatton will be in Marquez's face from the first bell up until the last. He is a swarmer and won't give Marquez any room and will make him feel very uncomfortable.

I think if Juan Manuel Marquez faces Juan Diaz it will give us a better view of how Hatton vs Marquez would go.
Re: MArquez the greatest Mexican of this era....
Marquez would have a field day with Hatton and his lunging left hook.

no way man. ricky made trouble for pbf at some point of that fight. hatton has a lil boxing in him. he only got ko'ed against pbf coz he was anxious and impatient about floyds game. thats a ko he'd take back anyday. but then again, who am i to say it is so. lets wish that it will happen

He never really troubled Floyd Mayweather much if your being kind to Ricky Hatton the most rounds you could give him is 3.
Re: MArquez the greatest Mexican of this era....
Marquez is a brilliant technical fighter...but like all great Mexican champs, he has tremendous heart as well. That being said...i still have him third behind Barrera and Morales as one of Mexico's recent great fighters. Marquez needs to finish his career on a tremendous high...considering he squandered so many years and potential great fights because of bad decisions/management. Casa wasn't exactly a young buck...that being said he is still a difficult stylistic matchup...so credit to Juan for winning an exciting fight. Even though i had Marquez AT THE VERY LEAST fighting Pac to a draw in their 2 fights...the official results didn't give him the win in either fight. And in what was another one of the great fights from this year...i had the Barrera/Marquez fight a draw or a narrow victory for Marco (i know i'm in the minority in thinking this, but just how i saw it). So Marquez has had some narrow wins and losses in recent fights...but props to him for taking on great fighters and performing well. But i still think he needs to close out his career with at least 2 HUGE wins to be in the same breath Barrera or Morales.

You badly over exaggerate it Mick. Come on now. "Rattlin and rollin" LOL that shit is comical :lolhaha: It was nothing like that at all. Pure hate right there :LOLATYOU:
It was exactly the same as the Urango fight. Wobbled once by a body shot.
:)
