Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
Hell even Butterbean at this point, just get in the damn ring. He's just wasting time now. The heavyweight division is moving on and he seems content to just complain about it. I had hopes that Haye would bring some excitement to the division, take out some of the lower level guys on the Ring Rankings and working his way up. Instead he backed out when he got the fight he wanted. Granted the money thing would be an issue, however if he did beat Wlad (as he seemed to believe he could) he could have named his price and all terms for future fights.

#1 David Haye has an inflated sense of self and accomplishment and he never stops talking...everyone knows he doesn't have a hope in hell of beating Wladimir or Vitali.
#2 The Klitschko's may be boring to a few people but they are dominant, they are class acts, and they are great ambassadors of the sport...they are smart, they give back to society, and they don't get in trouble with the law.
I think the David Haye fans will soon realize that the heavyweight division is not as weak as they once thought it was.
Oh and Fenster you say Monte Barrett was a tune up, well Evander Holyfield's second heavyweight fight was Pinklon Thomas. And yes David Haye SHOULD fight the top contenders (contenders not Champions) in the division, however, both he and his management will not risk him...he'll lose soon anyway

Well Lyle you must think the Klits are PUSSIES (pun intended) for picking on the little crappy cruiserweight, right?
If Haye is so unworthy then explain why they signed him with their 30 rematch clauses incase he sparked them?
Why didn't they say he SHOULD fight contenders first? Why didn't they say they have BIGGER fights than Haye?
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
If he's gotta fight someone other than the Klitschko's I'd love to see him face Arreola! I don't see that fight happening though...
Maybe he could fight someone like Maskaev or Peter
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
Haye has a few options.
John Ruiz maybe he can ko him like Tua did.
Sam Peter
Eddie Chambers
James Toney
David Rodriguez and untested undefeated Heavyweight.
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
Nobody, he should just wait or fight a Monte Barret level opposition.
Haye would get smashed by any of the top 10 heavy's; he might as well wait for one of the Klitsckos, so he can get paid hansomly for it.

So what was wrong with Barrett?
He's Monte Barrett
I thought he made a good account of himself againsed Haye, he came to fight. Great ring entrance too, that was some funny shit
YouTube - Monte Barrett falls into ring vs David Haye
He got knocked out by Cliff Couser. That says it all

No I don't Haye talked his way into the fight and they wanted to show him the error of his ways.
David Haye is 100% media hype...we'll see what he does without Setanta and without Steve Bunce blowing smoke up his ass all fucking day. He's "jumped the shark" so to speak in shit talking he'd be better served to stop it before Wlad drops him outside the ring
The Klitschko's used their standing as Champions in the HEAVYWEIGHT division along with their enormous fan support in Germany/Points East to get David Haye the fight he wanted and they gave him the terms that he had earned up to that point.
This is beyond ridiculous David Haye bitches about NOT getting the fight, then he GETS the fight and then bitches about the contract for the fight HE wanted, and then he pulls out of the fight altogether and continues to bitch about both the fact that he didn't get the fight AND the contract for the fight that HE WANTED.....2 words for Haye and his fans GROW UP
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
Fenster I am sure all the top guys all have rematch clauses in the contracts, it is just good negotiating. It is probably standard boilerplate language for a champion.

Exactly. It is a staple of every top level fight contract where one fighter has way more leverage then the other.
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
Why would Haye get a good deal when he has done nothing. He was promised a mill for not fighting any top guys he is lucky Klitschko gave him the fight because he did nothing to warrent having a fight. Then he pulls out and expects to Wald to just give him another chance come on.

Jesus Lyle do you know how pathetic that is, seriously..
Haye/his manager haven't moaned about the Klits or the contract since he pulled out. His manager said they would have done the same as Wlad if the situation was reversed.

err.. you've both picked up on something that was basically insignificant. Thanks though i never knew that about rematch clauses ;D
The point is the Klits CHOSE to fight Haye. So all you guys crying about the "undeserving" () Haye, your problem should be with the Klits not Haye. ;)

Really?? Who has Haye beaten that is quality competition? Old Jean Mark Mormeck? Enzo Maccarinelli?? Alexander Gurov??? I know Haye loves comparing Wlad to Gurov...but do you think they are similar in style and substance??? Face the facts, David Haye never has fought quality competition, he hasn't fought anything close to a dangerous heavyweight even though Haye himself said he would fight a NAMED opponent and a DANGEROUS opponent in his coming out fight and he fought Monte Barrett who has never been a big name fighter and unless you're Tye Fields or Dominick Guinn/Joe Mesi then he's not all that dangerous as a boxer or a puncher.
The situation isn't reversed and if it was the Haye fans would be calling Wladimir out as being scared of David Haye. Let's face it, minus Setanta and Steve Bunce and minus his British nationality David Haye is a nobody...he's KO'd several guys who couldn't last a second in the heavyweight division and he's fought 2 nobodies at heavyweight. You Haye fans are following David Haye with your hearts and not your minds...he's got upside but not enough to beat either Klitschko. David Haye will get smacked down like a little punk and then retire.
