Good fight for Adamek and he looked good in there.
Fought well and put his punches together well.
He did look good but Golota looked terrible and way out of shape. Think Povetkin would be too much, I don't think Adamek has the physique to become a full blown HW!
Well considering Povetkin, Dimitrenko, Chambers, Estrada are all about 10-20 lbs. heavier then him and Tomasz is all muscle not fat.
So I personally he can at least challenge and beat some of the top contenders.
Haye himself is about the same weight.
Haye walks round at 235lbs and is expected to weigh in at 220lbs for the Valuev fight. He has never been a LHW like Adamek who to me is suited to CW. Saying that some of the ATG HW's have weighed in at similar weights to Adamek tonight and I'd fancy them to be champs today!
Re: Adamek - Golota this weekend
Golota showed a lot of heart. But he needs to retire .

Adamek dropped him with combos in rd. 1 and in rd. 5
The ref. waived off the fight after Adamek was teeing off.
Going upstairs and downstairs with several unanswered shots.

twice. Golota looked really bad and out of shape. He cut open in the first!

I guess we can label this "fanboysim" on me... ;D
I just been on a hot streak with Adamek 6-0 in predicting the outcome of his fights. Would like to see him pick up a title fight at HW.
He comes to fight and never backs down.
Fighters like him you want to see him win.

Thanks man.Golota is long in the tooth but thats a statement right there.A guy with Adameks mentality, respectable combination hitter and all to eager.Sounds like what the Heavys need.
Think he needs to keep it smart, but can be a player. Will be fun to watch it.Always weary of the long list of impressive cruisers/lt hvys being rolled over once they go to hvy.

Totally agree. I like the guy. Something my Dad used to say to me about Evander when I was a kid was that he was "a great ambassador for the sport" and the same applies to Adamek for me!
I think he will return to CW though and rule for a while!

I thinks it's a combination of several things. I think it also had to do with the combinations and the fashion in which he threw them. Going upstairs and downstairs.

That left hook the he floored Golota with came out of nowhere.
Re: Adamek - Golota this weekend
I remember Adameks wars with Briggs and he is one tough bastard. I thought Briggs won the second fight but lost the first. How Adamek managed to stay up after some of the bombs briggs landed was beyond me.

2 brutal fights...
A friend of mine sat ringside for both fights and he said it was 2 of the greatest moments in sports for him.
He was on his feet throughout the fights and hardly sat if at all.
You know something a lot of fighters don't recover after a fight like that, evenmore after 2 fights like that.
Briggs himself disappeared after the 2 fights.
