Yeah but I'm of the opinion that if someone does that, then they are illegally
avoiding the punch jusy as much as the guy who is illegally
throwing the punch. So either way, to me it's like an
inevitable occurrence.
Basically what I mean is, If the guy is gonna turn his back, he's likely to get hit on the back of the head.
Exactly!!
Haye shouldn't have done it, but most fights have illegal activities going on in them, it's just Haye gets under peoples skin and they like to go on about him.
Last night, I think it was Cleverly was holding the back of Murats head whilst punching him in the face (dirty boxing in MMA). Last week Peter purposely hit Wlad after the bell and nothing gets mentioned. Haye hit someone in the back of the head nearly 6 months ago and people are still waffling on about it. He admitted he was wrong to do it after the fight!
Re: Haye-Ruiz hitting behind the head?
Yes but if that happens the ref should still warn BOTH fighters for the healthy and safety of both fighters.
Although when you watch the fight you see Chicken Little blast Ruiz like 3-4 times as Ruiz is bending over to avoid the punches and those are illegal and he should have been penalized

He was deducted a point in the first round for that. If i'm thinking about the right time when Ruiz bends over the ropes and thats the only thing keeping him up so the knockdown was called and Haye was deducted a point for hitting to the back of the head!
