He was beating both Tua and Maskaev before being stopped, but regardless, losing to those 2 does not make you a journeyman. Beating Corrie Sanders (who levelled Wlad) does not make you a journeyman.
So was JCC a journeyman at 44-0. Not being alegend and being a journeyman are not even in the same ball park. Journeyman do not get to 34-2
Chavez jr has! Marco Rubio was 34-2-1 at one point. The sport's history is LOADED with guys who started out like that and then fizzled at the top level and went into declines.

I'd wager that both guys hit harder and were better rated than Sonny banks... But you'd have to ask Ali and his well known glass jaw about that.

Hasim Rahman had pretty high KO precentage, and had some good performances. He beat a prime Corrie Sanders in a fantastic Heavyweight scrap, and was beating David Tua by a large margin until he got caught late on.
But i disagree with BIG H and imp's comment, Larry Holmes took a right hand bomb. Flush on the chin by one of the hardest hitting Heavyweight's Earnie Shavers, and was up within 4 seconds.
I know i've repeated that comment a few times, but im a bit sick of reading that those two punches Lennox Lewis got KO'ed with would of KO'd any Heavyweight in history, the Oliver McCall one wasn't even that devastating.
And Riddick Bowe got smashed by 72 power punches by Andrew Golota in one round, and survived. There's plenty of Heavyweight's who were tougher than Lennox Lewis, but there's few who were as skilled as him.

Many here said about 5 or 6 years ago that if Tyson could get into shape and be 50 percent of what he once was he would be champ again. We saw how that turned out. I don't think Lennox wants to make a comeback and that's enough to say no to the threads title question.

So the alltime great Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall :11fb8:have some kind of DY-NO-MIIIIITE!!!!! in their punches that floored Lummox for a 10 count, cold-cocked, out of this world KTFO, yet Smokin Joe, Big George, Earnie the Acorn just couldnt manage to land such hard shots against Ali, Holmes, etc... and thats why Frazier and Ali and Holmes and Lyle etc could keep getting up.
BUT OH, ALI WOULDNT HAVE GOTTEN UP, NOR HOLMES, NOR FRAZIER, HAD THAT ALLTIME GREAT PUNCHER OLIVER OR HASIM LANDED THOSE SHOTS.

Again, just because I am saying that he didn't have a glass jaw... it doesn't mean that I am saying that Lewis' chin was ever in the same realm as Ali's or Foreman's (who incidentally was dropped by Ali... a relatively light puncher... but as I KEEP SAYING - this is heavyweight boxing and under the right circumstances anybody can be dropped).
Lewis' jaw wasn't glass... it wasn't in the same realm as Ali's either... it was decent.

How Holmes got up from that shot I will never know. Shavers did a terrible job of finishing him, becuase he was out on his feet and there was plenty of time left. As good as that punch was from Shavers, I think Rahman's was more devastating... (maybe ;))

I am not trying to compare Lewis as one of the great chins, but I still maintain nobody beats the 10 count after that Rahman punch. Just my opinion.
