I was disappointed that it was so competitive as I think it bursts the bubble regarding Manny vs Floyd being a great fight, Floyd dominates him imo.
But there was no robbery last night. Manny was busiers. He threw more and outlanded Marquez although at a slightly lower connection rate.
I've not seen many knowledgable experts say they though Marquez won. The entire team on boxingtalk had Manny winning a close fight, as did HBO.
I think the general hatred for Manny, the perception that Marquez had previously been robbed, and the pervading view going in that Marquez was going to get mashed up this time meant that many people over reacted to everything Mrquez did, and felt Manny lost simply because he wasn't getting his way and dominating like all his previous opponents.
Excellent post, I fail to see the robbery here, 116-12 was off the mark by one judge, but from what I could tell 115-113 and 114-114 or a draw, didn't seem all that outlandish.
This wasn't the Pacquiao anyone expected to see, but he still did enough to eek out a win.
Re: Did anybody think PacMan won the fight?
Marquez had the same problem he has with the outside style, he was waiting to counter Pacquiao's aggression. Aside from a few signature punches Marquez gave this fight away. I had Pacquiao win it by one round.

I had a shitty stream for this fight, so it was just about impossible for me to score it properly, because I missed a lot of the action. From what I could see, neither pug really dominated the other, I wanna have a good look at the replay next saturday..
