JMM is a superb fighter. But I seriously doubt he could've achieved the same record manny had accomplished past 140. I'm in no way making excuses for manny but just like what nacho said, no fighter is invincible (was in 24/7 and what he said was something like a fighter always has someone who can beat him). Calling manny a fraud not only diminishes marquez's accomplishment but also takes something out of the sport of boxing.

How were the variables in his favor? It doesn't make any sense man. They had fought two close fights that you thought he LOST. You had him facing a guy who he had lost twice too. Thus, he choose to face a TOUGH fighter. I knew Marquez was his kriptonite. It isn't rocket science to know that Pacquaio struggles with counter punchers. So, if he was 0-2 against Marquez in some people's eyes, and then he voluntarily chooses to face him again, how is that cherrypicking or is a fraud? It seems fair and right that he would face him again. I 100% disagree with this. How does Manny deserve no praise from last night? Were you watching the fight I was? It was a scrap.

Manny Pacquiao chose the weight (145) saying that he couldn't make 140 anymore regardless of boasting that he has to eat over 7,000 calories a day to stay at WW, there's a reason that the 3rd fight never happened when Marquez first won the lineal title at Lightweight and a reason why Pacquiao waited out till Marquez was 38 and hadn't looked as sharp in 2 of his 3 previous bouts, Manny only took on the challenge of fighting Marquez NOW cause he thought that he was there for the taking, he had the same mentality that most people on here did, that's why he made the ridiculous early KO prediction, they can fight a million times and on paper Pacquiao will apparently be awarded the gift every time, but Marquez will really win the fight, last night IMO wasn't even close i had it 8-4 for Marquez, and the fact that the only thing that gave Manny an "edge" in the other fights was eliminated (a knockdown) i don't see how anyone in their right mind can say that Pacquiao won, wtf did he do last night to deserve praise? Manny fights a tough fight against Marquez and now he's a fraud? Are you kidding me? This isn't the time to put Manny down. It's the opposite! If Pacquiao had walked through him, everyone on this board would have said "Manny was too big," "he punches too hard," "he's on ped's," "he was cherrypicking because JMM is old" etc. Then he gets into a tough fight with Marquez and people are screaming Pac's a fraud!?! Come on, man. JMM is a legend. He was before this fight. The writing has been on the wall. He only went above 135 once and that was against the best in the world. Losing against Mayweather is no shame. Marquez fans knew he had Pacquiao's number. Pacquiao knew this was going to be a tough fight, which is why he took this training camp more seriously. It doesn't mean any less of his other accomplishments. It means Marquez and Pacquiao make for good damn fights. If you want to put Pacquiao down, drop him in your p4p rankings (which I will be), but he isn't a fraud. Give JMM his due. Geez.
Manny only took the fight because he knew all the variables would have been in the favor, there's a reason why he had that look of desperation in the final round, because he realized that his little plan to try and "out do" Floyd again had come to bite him in the ass, Pacquiao deserves NO PRAISE from last night, he lost against the man who should already be 3-0 against him or at worst 2-0-1, and yet he and his corner smiled on as if all viewing were morons, Pacquiao was stunned when the crowd turned on him and booed the decision, it was booed because the wrong man was declared the winner...AGAIN, last night is just another blotch on Pacquiao's record, and finally should open the eyes to all those who have been making him out to be this invincible larger than life boxing genius, most of Pacquiao's accomplishments 135 and up has been nothing more than nitpicking and smoke and mirrors, fuck Manny Pacquiao, Freddy Roach, and Bob Arum, most of all fuck all 3 judges from last night

LOST. You had him facing a guy who he had lost twice too. Thus, he choose to face a TOUGH fighter. I knew Marquez was his kriptonite. It isn't rocket science to know that Pacquaio struggles with counter punchers. So, if he was 0-2 against Marquez in some people's eyes, and then he voluntarily chooses to face him again, how is that cherrypicking or is a fraud? It seems fair and right that he would face him again. I 100% disagree with this. How does Manny deserve no praise from last night? Were you watching the fight I was? It was a scrap.

Manny Pacquiao chose the weight (145) saying that he couldn't make 140 anymore regardless of boasting that he has to eat over 7,000 calories a day to stay at WW, there's a reason that the 3rd fight never happened when Marquez first won the lineal title at Lightweight and a reason why Pacquiao waited out till Marquez was 38 and hadn't looked as sharp in 2 of his 3 previous bouts, Manny only took on the challenge of fighting Marquez NOW cause he thought that he was there for the taking, he had the same mentality that most people on here did, that's why he made the ridiculous early KO prediction, they can fight a million times and on paper Pacquiao will apparently be awarded the gift every time, but Marquez will really win the fight, last night IMO wasn't even close i had it 8-4 for Marquez, and the fact that the only thing that gave Manny an "edge" in the other fights was eliminated (a knockdown) i don't see how anyone in their right mind can say that Pacquiao won, wtf did he do last night to deserve praise? JACKSHIT, he was schooled, beat on every exchange and then still given a gift win, this is no less a travesty than Cintron/Martinez was, again fuck Manny Pacquiao and his special treatment bullshit he's not even fit to carry JMM's jockstrap
I won't be goaded into talking crap to you El Terrible. Not my style. I said from DAY ONE this was a tough fight for Pacquiao. I have been saying this since people were badmouthing him for making the fight. Go check my posts. I've been consistent. I don't see how people thought it wouldn't be after Pacquiao and Marquez had two wars in the past. I said Marquez was his kriptonite. I've been saying it. I said Marquez was a warrior and no way would he take this fight to lay down. I thought the weight wouldn't make that much of a difference because they wouldn't be far off the night of the fight (in reality Marquez weighed more). You've been bitter since Pacquiao squashed Cotto, but I'll say it again, there is no shame in that loss. Pacquiao is dominant against offensive fighters. We now know his trouble is with counter punchers. The blueprint has been out there since the last two Marquez fights that is why Floyd was a favorite in the Pacquiao fight. He's an even better counter puncher than Marquez.

That is a little extreme but I did feel Manny would have a somewhat easy night against JMM but hey that's boxing. But these old men of boxing are proving alot of people wrong. Styles make fights and JMM has Pacs number. If they fight a 4th time, I'm staying neutral. War JMM
