You and ElTerrible only agreed on 5 rounds and has a discrepancy in 7 rounds. He seem not to find it easy to score since it did not match your scorecard.
And you seem to always miss the news items of those who score the fight in Pac's favor.
I am not insisting Pacquiao won. For me, it could have gone either way, AGAIN. I am just responding to those post that are deceptive.
Re: I thought pac won - anyone want an argument or am i too late?
This fight had us again, on this forum split on a clear
winner? but most think JMM, beat Pacman Khan had
JMM a winner? :o what more can you say.;D

i watched the version where khan was commentating
the american dude who was doing it with him was very pro marquez, got a hard on everytime marquez took a step forward
i reckon if that other dude would have been pro pac then khan would be bumming pac over the fight instead :)

Coming from pretty much the only guy on the planet, who thinks Carl Froch was robbed vs Mikkel Kessler. And the same guy who thinks Carl Froch was ahead coming into the last round vs Jermain Taylor.
I'd love to see your scorecard.
Ha
1 im not the only guy on the planet who thinks froch beat kessler (watch it again you will agree froch was very unlucky not to win)
2 froch was miles behind on the cards v taylor
3 i had no feelings going into the pac marquez fight, i dont particularly like nor dislike either, i probably wouldnt have watched the fight had there not been so much uproar so i believe mine is a completely impartial unbias view
I've watched the fight 3 times, and last time you made a thread about it. I scored it RBR and gave my scorecard, Carl Froch was clearly outworked and Mikkel Kessler had the best moments in the fight stunning Carl Froch.
I'd like to see your RBR scorecard for JMM vs Manny Pacquiao though.

You cant have watched it 3 times if you still think kess won, yes he came forward more but he never hit him and thats part of boxing isnt it?
Watch it again and tell me the time in a round where kes landed a significant punch before the sixth
Ill post my score card for pac marquez when im near it but what difference will it make, peoples cards ar so varied on that fight
Re: I thought pac won - anyone want an argument or am i too late?
Sixth watch with slow-mo round 6 and 10.
R1- Pac 10-9
R2- JMM 9-10
R3- Pac 10-9
R4-Pac 10-9
R5-JMM 9-10
R6-Pac 10-9
R7-Even 10-10
R8-JMM 10-9
R9-Pac 10-9
R10-JMM 9-10
R11-Pac 10-9
R12-Pac 10-9
Pacquiao- 117
Marquez- 112
Marquez never committed to seizing the pace, and that was his downfall. He has the craft but lacked the physical capability to fully overtake Pacquiao's offensive tempo and generalship with his own.
Re: I thought pac won - anyone want an argument or am i too late?
1 pac
2 jmm
3 pac
4 pac
5 jmm
6 pac
7 jmm
8 pac
9 jmm
10 jmm
11 pac
12 pac
I agree with poster above, lots of the rounds were very close and i thought pac pipped them coz marquez was constantly retreating

I don't think any side is wrong here. Like what a poster said, BOXING SCORING IS NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE. In a very close fight, people will be split on who to give the round to. They may try to distribute those rounds evenly on the two protagonist or they might give all of them to the boxer with the fighting style they prefer hence the huge discrepancy in some of the scorecards.
Until they come up with a better and more accurate way of scoring fights, then there will just be more of these arguments in the coming fights.
It probably comes down to who you're more of a fan of too. I'm not saying it's always the case, but Pac fans will be more likely to see the fight going more Manny's way, and JMM's fans will see it going his way.
I appreciate what ya saying about being a fan of one than another. The irony is Im more a Pac fan than JMM, I wanted, and predicted Pac to dominate the fight. I was left utterly dispondant by his performance. I was actually looking at Pac throughout the fight wanting him to do more, but in my eye's he didnt.

I believe all Pacquiao fans are disappointed with how the fight went.
He did not dominate the fight as expected but he wasn't dominated in the fight either as some suggested.
Lousy performance by the P4P boxer + excellent performance by a huge underdog = perception that the underdog won in an almost even fight. In such close fight, nonpartisan fans would likely side with the underdog for the effort that was showed and for being able to make the fight competitive. This is just a theory and I am not presenting it here as fact.

It's a good theory and one I wouldnt argue against.
I tend not to watch the fights again, as like to go by first impressions. Dont want to dilute my original perspective by other peoples opinions and swayed judgements.
Chances are If i did watch it again, I may see it differently, but as the with the judges at ringside, I give myself one shot at scoring the fight and generally stick to first impressions.

Well i never thought Manny Pacquiao would dominate the fight, and it was pretty ridiculous the way people were overrating Manny Pacquiao and underrating JMM. You make it sound like JMM was some journeyman who shocked everyone by giving a great champion fits.
JMM is a P4P fighter himself with a great resume, who had arguably beaten Manny Pacquiao 2 times before there 3rd fight. Was it that much of shock ?
And the reason people think JMM won was because he landed all the best punches in the fight. Which is pretty much what i look for in the fight, who's landing the clean effective punches.
And i see JMM snap Manny Pacquiao's head back numerous times, with right hands and uppercuts.
And for it's worth i think JMM is 3-0 vs Manny Pacquiao.

It may not be an exact science but you didnt need science to work out who won this fight. Manny looked slower in his fight against Mosley. Even worse in the Margarito fight. And he could not work Marquez out at all. I really wanted him to win this fight so he could have a super fight with Mayweather but after that performance you can see he doesnt have even the slightest chance.
I think he is starting to enjoy the fancy cars and fame to much.
I believe anyone watching this fight without a favourite could see marquez won. I am a manny fan but he definitely lost.
