You do know he fought for and defended WBC title 21 times then fought the undefeated WBO champ to unify; then fought the undefeated WBA champ that was a technical draw due to an accidental head butt.
So what does he do? He fights him again, this time Alverez comes in over weight and cant win anyway, Lopez is champ by default: but Lopez being a champion takes him on anyway and beats him, then he vacates all titles moving up in weight and takes the IBF world title from the reining champ in the next division up,two defenses later he faces Zolani petello who had held the Ibf in the weight below (the only one he didnt get to fight for ) So now he lopez beats him at the next weight up retaining the Ibf then Lopez retires undefeated.
Whats not to love?
this is d same shit RJJ's , Ray Leonard's and Joe Louis' "greatness" is excused by .
and Markegiano's , Holmes' and Calzaghe's .
fight as many bums and corpses as u can , as long as u don't lose it's gr8 .
Based purely on worthless , meaningless numerics and worthless toy belts that every1 loves 2 criticize .
If some1 fights d best and loses a competitive fight by judges' verdict , i count it 2 his credit .
But when some1 just doesn't fight any1 , there is nothing 2 count 2 his credit , and this is Lopez' case .

Yeah... SRL fought LOTS of bums. His entire career he fought 2 guys with losing records. He defeated Wilfredo Benitez, Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Hagler. He fought Duran and Hearns on more than one occasion. Unlike JCC, who was 12-0 when he first fought someone with a winning record, and first fought someone other than a corpse, outside Mexico, in his 44th pro fight.
You definitely know your stuff.

I can't believe anyone is seriously responding to the OP's stuff. This is the most obvious trolling I've ever seen.

Who was a great then in the minimum weight that he ducked?
Going on your reasons, Im wondering who you think he should of fought?

IDK , he simply did not have very good fighters in his weights so it is possible that he did not duck any1 in his weight . But he still did not fight any1 either , so d bottom line is that he fought no1 , his record is empty , he is unproven and a big unknown even if a relatively famous unknown , and i'd rather rank men whom were willing 2 fight d best and proved they could at least last d distance vs d best .

By that reasoning you must include Reggie Strickland....he fought everybody! Strickland lost 276 fights, but he went the distance in 251 of those losses, he must be an all time great!
Re: Post your list in this thread prior to arguing with someone else's
You better remove Ike Ibeabuchi from your list bro;
Its on record he fought 18 club fighters and only two decent fighters (so by your own reckoning on your reasons for emitting Ricardo Lopez and others in your last post) he doesnt belong there in your list.
Just saying you cant have one rule for so many and blatantly let one off just cause hes a hard man and fought well twice, can you?

Ibeabuchi fought well vs great fighters twice , Lopez fought 0 times vs great fighters , so if u all can include Lopez , then i surely can include Ibeabuchi .

Tua wasn't a GREAT fighter by any means, he never even captured a world title, his biggest wins are against Rahman (Tua got a gift draw in the rematch), Maskaev, Ruiz, an old Moorer, and Oquendo, not really stellar
Re: Post your list in this thread prior to arguing with someone else's
Just the fact that Frankie includes Leonard in his list of fighters who "only fought bums" shoots down his whole argument in flames. In true trolling fashion, he ignores posted proof to the contrary, and just continues to make other, equally outlandish claims.
But.... as long as we all continue to respond... he'll continue to post.
It's all kinda sick, really.

Marion Wilson was a rock, fought solid comp lasting the distance in all but one and even beat Mercer and your own top ranked heavyweight Mike Hunter....but to call him great is a stretch F & F :D :p
