sorry i was away for a few hours... i didn't realize i'm so popular! i had to avoid the site until i'd watched all the fights from the weekend. didn't want to spoil my viewing pleasure.
looking over the threads about the fight, i can't help but laugh little cause even tho martinez won the fight a bunch of you still feel the need to come up with excuses for his performance. he had a broken hand, torn ligaments, twisted knee, listened to the wrong celine dion album before the fight, couldn't find his lucky thong, etc... hahaha!
hell of a fight tho! looking forward to the rematch.
as for you mars_ax with all your chirpin at me.. criticizing my predictions... why aren't you participating in the prediction contest? it just started.... i'd love to compare my pugs to your picks.

But Sergio said before the fight, that it wasn't about the money to him. Taking back his title and showing that Chavez didn't deserve it was what was important to him.
Now that he's done that, he better start getting the big money and bigger fights. The guy more than deserves it.
The problem is he's Argentinian. If he was Mexican he'd be a massive PPV star but he's got no serious fanbase in America and he doesn't speak English, he isn't outrageous or a nutter outside the ring and he doesn't do a lot of trash talking. If he fights people like Golovkin or Geale then he's the left side of the poster but it isn't such a big fight. If he fights Mayweather, Canelo or even Cotto then they're going to make the bigger chunk of the split. If he fights JCC again he'll probably make the biggest part of the split as he owns the belt and the win over Chavez but Chavez will still be the main selling point of that fight.

Totally unfair and undeserved.... but correct.

I don't know if he is or not, but ruthless acts like a high school kid who's looking for 'negative' attention. Perhaps his daddy didn't give him enough love, and his mommy dropped him on his head too many times when he was a baby. In any event, I just keep him on ig most of the time, problem solved.
