I'm not saying he's gonna be an all time great but KOing Khan the way he did is still better than anything Matthysse has done, including his win over Peterson
Exactly.
Give garcia a break.
He will get better.
Lets not make matthysse out to be anything that he isnt
Yup. Only in boxing can a man lose fights- Lucas vs. Judah and Alexander- but people give you credit as if you won the fight.
:-\
Only in boxing do fighters get credit for taking hard fights. Lucas will fight anyone, Garcia will not.
When has garcia ducked anyone?
Judah beat matthysse
Khan beat judah
Garcia beat khan and judah.
Why o why is matthysse now the one everyone is ducking?
Garcia was offered a Khan rematch and chose a Morales rematch instead for less money. Garcia is going to vacate his belt to avoid a fight with Matthysse.
You are clearly clueless when you say Judah beat Matthysse, Garcia beat Judah, therefore Garcia is better. Morales beat Pac, Chavez and Barrera and Garcia beat Morales so Garcia is better then Pac, Barrera and Chavez... Retard
Lol.
Here we go again. More rubbish.
No one said anything about any fighter being better they are just basic facts! Prick.
No one said anything about lucas being a bad fighter but he has lost to alexander and old boy judah.
Its not garcia fault that khan is a better boxer and garcia is a better fighter!
The boxing match turned into a fight and khan got knocked out. Simples.
Why should garcia have jumped straight into a rematch with khan when khan never gives anyone any rematches.
U are clueless. Why should Garcia give Khan a rematch? to prove he is the best. Why should Garcia fight Matthysse? To prove he is the best. To back up all the talk he talks. Apart from beating Khan Garcia has done nothing. He scraped by Kendall Holt.
Who deserved a rematch against Khan? Maidana is the only one that comes to mind and Im not sure Maidana even wanted one. McCloskey? What would be the point, it was so one sided, same with Judah.

I don't think saying Garcia is a better fighter is a good way to put it. If anything Garcia imo is the better boxer. His technique is so crisp and sharpe and hes so smart.
Garcia is a smart fighter and timed a beautiful left hook. Khans right hand was low and he threw several combos in a row leaving his right hand low and his head right in the middle. Khan got to comfortable and obviously Garcia will make anyone pay who makes mistakes.

Cant say I agree with this either. The only thing that makes Garcia a better boxer then Khan is the fact he can take a punch. Khans speed, technique, movement is all better then Garcias.

The Argentinian bulldozer should have won against Alexander and though Garcia does well, I am eageer to see him fight guys his own weight. Boxers under Garcia's guidance seem to have this bad habit of repeatedly be overweight at the weight in and to bully boxers way smaller than them.

I actually have to agree with you and re-reading what I wrote I worded that totally wrong.
I think one can make a better argument that Garcia is a better boxer then Khan rather than saying Garcia is a better fighter.
Not that I think Garcia is a better boxer, but hes defianately not a better fighter.
And the only reason I think one could put up a better argument that he is a better overall boxer is because he stays sharp, technical, doesn't get sloppy and hes smart.
I agree with you that Khan is the better boxer tho because he is more technical and sharp.

Why not move up to welter and get as close to you can the biggest payday in his career as its obvious he is not the best at 140 and never will be.
All im saying is garcia deserves some credit for what he has achieved and both him and his father are good for boxing.
The fact is Khan is what Garcia has achieved. What has he done since? fought a shot Morales and struggled with Judah. Has he fought Maidana? Did he finish Judah in 5 rounds ? Has he fought Lamont Peterson ? Garcia has to earn credit. You keep bringing up Khan as though Khan is avoiding Garcia. Khan would jump straight in with Matthysse. Garcia wouldn't even rematch Khan let alone fight Lucas.
Re: Danny Garcia- not to be over-shadowed!
I think I enjoy Khan's fights more since his loss to Peterson. I can root for him, he makes exciting fights.
Re: Danny Garcia- not to be over-shadowed
I can't buy into Garcia. He's a limited fighter that happens to slug well so far with guys that have no business slugging with him (Morales--age/weight/wear; Khan--Chin; Judah--Chin). Judah had him on the run at the end, khan was out boxing him early. If he was cutting off the ring the whole fight and obliterated these guys with combos, i'd buy into it more. I'm not saying he's landing these punches by coincidence. He knows he's gotta mix it up if he wants his power (often his only advantage besides youth) to be a factor in the fight, so he does... I asked myself how I see Garcia Fairing against Peterson the night Matthysse beat him and I can see peterson giving garcia all he can handle (at least early on). I didn't even think Lucas would have an easy night; a points win probably. Then to find out his house was robbed, he finally got on a plane and probably walked into to the fight with the tail end of jet lag and blasted peterson out that quickly ... was pretty impressive.

that's why Khan chose Julio Diaz of all the talent at 140 as his comeback opponent right? and that's why he's jumping up to 147 now, as for rematches, we're still waiting for rematches against Prescott and Maidana, so lets not try to play the Amir takes on all comers card
Re: Danny Garcia- not to be over-shadowed!
Garcia's upside is the best one in American boxing at this time, and better than anyone between 130 and 160lbs- better than Golovkin.
Reason why? I don't see anyone giving Garcia any REAL trouble until he faces Canelo or Floyd. But Golovkin has a heap of talent to run through- Dirrell, Ward, Andrade, Hopkins, Stevenson, Bute, Froch, Abhraham, Sturm, etc, etc....
I do admit- Golovkin's dance card certainly has the potential to be better than Garcia's.
;D

Golovkin easily runs through Abraham, Sturm, and pretty much anyone at 160 (Martinez is already on the slide and is constantly getting injured), and doubt he's gonna make the jump to 168 any time soon much less to 175
