Infact I don't think Fury would make it past 4 rounds.
Bang bang bang..... game over.
I think AJ will beat Fury a year or 2 down the line, but roght now Id favour Fury.
Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
Until Joshua beats somebody who's actually good I don't think he would simply take fury out or even beat him. This kind of fight is a decent marker for that though, not any of the previous ten.
Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
I'd have to make Fury favourite too. I don't doubt Joshua could spark him but then again I don't doubt David Price could spark him, I'd still back Fury to beat Price.

Fury is still untested dog shit who has cleverly swerved his way to where he's at
..he's fought nobody and was put on his back by a Cruiserweight non puncher.
Don't get sucked into this BS Fury Hype.
AJ would destroy him in a few rounds on sheer power alone.
Someone please enlighten me on just how Fury keeps a young, huge , fast and seriously aggresive cunt of a man off him for more than 45 seconds.
Is he gonna out fox an Olympic Champion with a southpaw stance maybe? :) because he in no way in a million years has anything to stop Joshua landing huge punches inside or out.
Really is a no contest even tom imo.
He's done that against stiffs, if he does it against ranked contenders that's a different story. Aj is talented I'm not saying he's not, but you look at Cunningham post Fury and he's had three solid wins at heavy, one of which he knocked out a 300 pound Samoan. Nobody has ever stopped Cunningham and Fury did, cunnigham has fought quality fighters at cruiserweight and he got up off the floor vs Mansour twice who's a massive puncher...Mansour might have had knock out of the year lasts time out. Chisora is a top rated heavyweight and Fury just schooled him, nobody has done that either. Fury is better than you think IMO.
Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
You could be right but all that you said can be applied to Joshua too. He hasnt fought anyone half decent. In the amateurs he was beaten IMO by a cuban boxer who out jabbed him. While the Cuban is better technically then Fury, Fury will still have the reach advantage and a good jab could set him up for the win.
We have no idea as to how Joshua reacts to getting hit and while Fury doesnt have the best chin, he clearly has heart and wont go into a shell. I dont think Johnson will tell us much about how hed fair against Fury either. It would be a great matchup if it could happen soon but I cant see it happening in the next few years.
David Price would be a great test for Joshua but cant see them putting him in with Price for a long time either.

Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
It's a smart choice of opponent for me, and not really dangerous. Johnson does something very well, as well as any HW even, but winning fights isn't one of them. He can't punch and has no output, the only way Joshua will be in trouble is if he isn't in condition to work for 12 rounds and gasses himself out.
The ask is of whether Joshua will be able to look impressive and dominate, or struggle to land clean, be bothered by a good jab and have to learn on the job. I think either way it's a good move for him career wise.
Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
Johnson is pretty crap , but he is durable so he will at least show how AJ copes with punching for a long fight.

I was impressed. Once Joshua has you hurt and/or against the ropes you are in very big trouble.
Beautiful combination punching and great defense, not that much was coming back at him.
So are you now a believer?
