Yeh I'm not to big on a President canning the guy leading the major investigation on an enemies interference in our elections. It smells as crooked as it comes, the timing is shady and the execution was astoundingly unprofessional. People are too damn stuck on labels and towing party lines. Stop be herded sheep less you follow right over the cliff ffs.
:vd:
Andrew McCabe is now the acting director of the FBI

Suuuuuch a hardline Republican
'acting' not a permanent selection. This is a default to all I heard last night, "well lets wait to see who he appoints to replace Comey". The fact is he floated a turd of a lame excuse in the first place to terminate a man Trump has previously held praise for and I believe impeding the ongoing investigation was at the root.
Too much power he had to go.
Alright.....and your take on the Democrats who were calling for Comey to be fired long long ago? They have ended up getting what they called for and yet they are still unsatisfied....perhaps everyone would be better off if Trump said "I resign, oh and before Pence takes over I'd like to appoint Hillary as President, after all she REALLY WON SUPERSERIAL"
It's endless nonsense

Maxine Waters is asked "Had Hillary won, should she have fired James Comey?"
Her response "Well let me tell you something, if she had won the White House given what he (Comey) did to her and what he (Comey) tried to do she SHOULD have fired him."

I put it right up there with the hypocrisy also shown by POTUS who massaged a message when it benefited him politically and/or personally. Many Dems had a serious case of knots in their arse when Comey appeared to jump the gun and put himself into the spotlight immediately in front of the election but in hindsight you can fault their luke warm candidate and baggage more so. I'll do 101 things today and the one that will not make the list is pretending to defend let alone listen to anything Maxine "IMPEACH NOW" Waters says. That said whatever outrage some dems had and their questions about Comey had erupted prior to this official investigation being launched. Trump has never shown respect for the wider Intelligence community, he's publically mocked and dismissed them and has been more than rabid with the FBI involving leaks. You do not remove the head of an investigation involving yourself and our election once it's underway. Especially when you crack jokes and yuk it up with the Russian foreign minister in the oval office the very next day. They are laughing right in our face from OUR house.
..ah yes because The Clintons had 0 ties to Russia and had Hillary won this would be a non-issue right?
Just for me, just do a little snooping and search out the connections between The Clintons and Russia, just try....and after that come back and tell me all about how horrible Trump is because Putin wanted him to win (supposedly)
Anybody bashing Trump is Spouting pure nonsense here.
Trump praised Comey for opening an investigation into Hillary in 2015, then criticized call him in July of 2016 for letting SHillary off the hook, praised Him in October, then criticized him again in November when he let Hillary off the hook again, Praised Him in December, then thanked him yesterday 3 times, and then criticized him and fired him.
Clinton/Dems Praised Him in July and then criticized him again in October, praised him again in November when he cleared Clinton the second time, then criticized him again when she lost the election but then praised him in January when it looked like there was an investigation into Trump.
***You fuckers go ahead and try to cut through that level of intrigue, I dare you***
FBI and Obama's DOJ are so utterly corrupted that Trump is just ***draining the fucking swamp***

"And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids and their dog"
And the leaks start:The goal of the financial inquiry is to understand the nature of any financial ties Mr. Trump may have to foreign interests, including Russia, and to determine to what extent, if at all, Mr. Trump or his associates have investments that may be tied to the Russian government, people with knowledge of the inquiry said.
In the weeks before President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, a federal investigation into potential collusion between Trump associates and the Russian government was heating up, as Mr. Comey became increasingly occupied with the probe.
Mr. Comey started receiving daily instead of weekly updates on the investigation, beginning at least three weeks ago, according to people with knowledge of the matter and the progress of the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe. Mr. Comey was concerned by information showing potential evidence of collusion, according to these people.
One area of particular interest for the [Senate] committee is Mr. Trump’s business dealings. The Senate Intelligence Committee has asked for information from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, a division of the Treasury Department.
There currently are 11 congressional staff working on the Senate probe, a number that some lawmakers have said publicly isn’t enough to handle the voluminous intelligence reporting and leads that have been generated by the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency.

Republicans next week: OK, so there was a bit of "collusion". So what? What is collusion anyway?
Another article in the WSJ quotes a senior FBI souce saying Trump's claim he'd been told three times he isn't being investigated is "completely farcical nonsense". Comey barred by law from even discussing the case with Trump.
Also, too:
After President Trump accused his predecessor in March of wiretapping him, James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director, was flabbergasted. The president, Mr. Comey told associates, was “outside the realm of normal,” even “crazy.”

Also also too:
WASHINGTON
The FBI-led probe into whether Russian influence operations helped put Donald Trump in the White House is on a knife’s edge and could easily veer into either of two distinct directions.
One possibility is that investigators will feel galvanized by President Donald Trump’s abrupt firing of FBI director James Comey and burrow ever deeper into a probe in which they see the reputation of the bureau at stake.
Or, with the FBI temporarily rudderless, Trump loyalists in the Justice Department could put the brakes on the investigation in multiple ways.
“They could just say, ‘We’ve got 60 days to tie this up. I’m not spending more person power inside the bureau. . . . Let’s just say wrap it up unless we’ve got a smoking gun,’ ” said Christopher H. Schroeder, a former assistant attorney general who headed the Office of Legal Policy.

Putin has welcomed and praised the decision by Trump. :)
Yeah firing comey will destroy all the information, what an idiot Kirk is
