You have reminded me about Reanimator that was a silly movie.

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
I'm making my way throught Universal's Classic Monsters blu ray box set. Cool to see some of the classics, even if they are severely outdated. Creature from the Black Lagoon looked surprisingly awesome in 3d though!
Watched The Conjuring last night. Was ok, nothing special.

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Universal is resurrecting the monsters which built that studio into a Hollywood powerhouse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2aWqecTTuE
Universal Rebooting Classic Monster Movies As New Cinematic Universe
They are apparently putting all these monsters in the same universe so that could be promising though Dracula Untold seems much more action and much less horror

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Giving this a BOOOOO Bump because we're in that special time of year where it's time to really honestly and truly celebrate a holiday that America has made great....Halloween. Get drunk, see women dressed sluttier than normal, and have a listen to any songs that relate to this time of year...Monster Mash, Spooky, I'm Your Boogie Man, I Put A Spell on You, Witchy Woman, That Old Black Magic, Black Magic Woman, Strange Brew, Voodoo Chile, Superstition, Thriller, etc.
And of course it's the PERFECT time to get your Netflix queue in order and start running down all the GREAT (and awful) horror movies available to you.

The most pointless fucking "holiday" of the year, I wanna watch a horror film, I'll watch one, I don't give two short sharp shiny shits if it's Halloween or easter Sunday
See girls dressed slutty, I'm from Birmingham, if I see a brummy bird dressed slutty 99% of the time it's vomit inducing
Listen to songs that relate to that time of year? The monster fucking mash? Jesus fucking Christ man.
Congratulations America on mainstreaming the ultimate steaming heap of shite known as Halloween.
Maybe if it wasn't as ridiculously commercialised it wouldn't bother me as much...actually it would, it's the fact that the English have Americanised it tso much.
Fuck England
fuck America
fuck Halloween
fuck the lot of ya

I've just built a firepit in my backyard and the weather has recently cooled to the point where I've been able to use it....nothing better than drinks by the fire on a brisk fall night

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Got a few movies in the queue right now that will be seen before Halloween
Deranged 1974
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSNJmvxNs80
....seems like an Ed Gein inspired movie.
Let's get ready for some bad acting and some solid movie scares.....but mainly bad acting :toff:

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Motel Hell 1980
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUezzWWvVZM
Kind of a Psycho meets Little Shop of Horrors it looks like.

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
You know what we need. Well not need but would be cool, throw back Halloween pics ;D. Pretty sure I have one where it was a good idea to "go as a robber" at 12 yrs old and actually get stopped, photographed and had pictures taken of the bottom of our shoes???
btw the only candy you get from a cop in the 80's was apparently Hubba Bubba or dip of Kodiak.
Anyone here ever walk up to the "please take ONE" bowl left on the bench for trick or treaters and actually just take ONE :-X
-
Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
1st off I will be watching those two films Lyle posted. Next, Spicoli I took 2.

In my neighborhood the homeowners were too smart for that. There's one house I remember where they'd have the bowl of candy sitting in the lap of a monster of some kind but the first I remember I think he was a scarecrow or something but it was supposed to look like a dummy, but he'd sit still for a while and then jump up and scare the crap out of anyone around.

btw way if you dress your dog like a peak year Liberace, male or female, I hope they leave a steamed one on the owners pillow.

The only "attire" my dog wears besides his collar that has his rabies vaccination and ID tag is a kerchief/bandana around his neck. That's really the only acceptable thing you can put on a dog IMO....unless you're a woman or gay

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
You'd be really surprised how manly grown burly men we have that leave sweaters and shirts for their dogs ;D. Shirts are big during football season but depending on how well your team is doing they should leave a lil paper bag for the pooch to wear also :-X
funny, we had a guy pick up after a splint change Tues. and the new girl wrapped him in purple. Dad comes in and flips his shit so we took him back and rewrapped in camo vet-wrap ffs ;D. We live through out dogs. Honestly the dog could give a toss.

I suppose he could, but he's a hound dog not Aristotle Onassis ergo the kerchief/bandanna....right now the bandanna is a print of a pirate treasure map
