The way to stick it to OPEC is to produce our own oil.
Biodesiel would be the way to go if you were going to make your own fuel.

Oh har de har,did you just move here?
Theyve got 5 million caman islands hidey hole to stash the loot in,they arent paying crap
You are,but they aint baby boy,Im betting you dollars to donoughts the head of Exxon would need pie charts to explain to him what income tax is
The government makes money off of the company...the CEO is something completely different.

....and that isn't going to be like George W. Bush?!?!?!
Man your election races are the biggest waste of money I have seen in my life, you could put that into something useful for the world. Instead they do millions of interviews and rallies, picking up every single mistake the other makes and this is just for the candidacy of a party? It's a joke.
We're working with what we have and doing ok with it
And so tonight Hillary takes another swift kick in the snatch, as John Edwards publicly throws his support behind Obama. Is this a move for the party to unify? A sign that Edwards may end up a running mate? Will the stars align and a blackhole emerge as we all collapse into a vast space/time continuum? Is eating cheetos in the nude sexy? Inquiring minds need to know.
Film at 11.
Yeah considering she just demolished him in West Virginia...Edwards' decision doesn't mean much.
If I was a Democrat I'd be worried about Michigan and Florida...you can't just give those votes away come November. You don't seat any of those delegates and you run the risk of pissing off some voters.
It was a conceeded state Lyle
...he needed to do better than he did. I understand Hillary was going to win anyway but you don' t let her run the score up like she did.
And how the hell is Obama going to win if he's conceeding states like West Virginia...West Virginia isn't much different from Iowa which Obama won.
As for Michigan and Florida the DNC is cutting off it's nose to spite their face. The RNC punished them but they still had a say in the primary after that punishment...the DNC basically said "Fuck off, you didn't listen, you don't count" and I'm not cheering for them to seat those delegates because 1. Obama is an easier candidate to beat and 2. Those voters are going to remember what happened with them and FLORIDA has already hurt the Democrats before and seems like it will do it again.
Edwards delivered his news from Michigan. Coincidence?
...So how's he supposed to carry that state in November??? HENCE it's kind of a big deal. I don't care if he was like "Well we just won't campaign there".....you still don't want to lose by that much.
When your spin is basically "Well they just must be a bunch of uneducated racists" it's not good for anybody.
Obama hasn't won blue collar workers, McCain concievebly can win those votes, I am not so sure about Obama, he's got a lot of work to do to win those votes.
Gah Lyle that is so garbage he obviously meant to say 47.
West Virginia means nothing, Lyle you love the system so much, working within the system there is virtually no way Hillary can win and right after that win in West Virginia she lost the super delegate lead which is the card her camp has been playing since she lost Iowa.
Trainer....that doesn't mean too much right now seeing how the Democrat Primary has been the only one going on for quite some time...therefore people can switch parties and have a say in what goes on in a primary seeing how they didn't have a say in the other one.
amat....I didn't say it meant anything in the PRIMARY....it means a BUNCH in the general election. When you lose by 40% then you're going to lose the state it doesn't matter what party you're in or what you stand for you lost by 40% and you'r going to lose the state to whoever runs against you in a general election.....if Obama ran against the son of Satan who demanded 50 Aborotions a day and released all the sex offenders from the state prisons, Obama would lose given the numbers he had in West Virginia.
I hate to be confrontational but it's the TRUTH and along with Michigan and Florida and given his poor connection with blue collar workers it's going to be hard for him to win the general election....I hate to break it to you but POLITICALLY it's reality until he seriously changes himself in the public's view.....sorry bro, I see what people like in Obama but I am not voting for him.....not now and not anytime soon because slick talkers and guys with no experience haven't helped us at all in the past 16 years
As for that....well if Dan Quayle said it then it would be on Saturday Night Live and everyone would laugh their assesoff at it but since Obama says it then it's "just a mistake"/"He was tired give him a break".....accept it he fucked up and it was funny as fuck....it's no different than "You have to put food on your family" or "Awesome speech man" from W.
...so is North Carolina....only we have SOUTHERN Democrats which is just as good as a Republican only they'll never call themselves that.
North Carolina is the most progressive state in the south, our state senate/governors/etc are all democrats and yet nationally we vote for Republicans.
If Obama wins, I'm rooting for him to do the right things and get America back on track but if he doesn't I'm going to call him out on it.
Right now Im looking at it like this,Bush and Cheney have left the living room looking like a frat party gone south,McCain will just keep trashing the joint,Hillary will ignore alot of it,and start dusting,Im hoping Obama will actually pick up the damned furniture and the nachos on the floor.
My choice was Edwards, but he got distracted by his wife getting sick
The problem is that, no matter who wins, the country is not going to get back on track for years. I know you don't seem to like Bill Clinton, but at least we were operating in the black for a bit during his term. The war, economically speaking, is only beneficial to select groups in our country - while being essentially devestating to the nation as a whole. I hear a lot of rationalization as to the reasons behind the slumping economy, but a lot of that is just plain bullshit. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
When was the last time the US dollar was this weak, relative to the global economy?
....the problem is that people are making big bank on this faux split in America between Democrats and Republicans and you're playing into it.
Sure I don't like Obama's politics but he's not going to destroy America...I don't like Hillary but she's not going to destroy America...I do like McCain and he's not going to destroy America either. So all this talk about who is going to continue what is just talk...I think all the candidates want to do a lot of things different or better than W.
America has survived lousy Presidents on more than one occasion and this won't be the last time something like this happens.
I think these are very dangerous assumptions to make. The nation might withstand deep divisions, but then again, it might not. I truly believe that if some fundamental changes in the structure - in the very foundation - of government do not occur reasonably soon, then our nation will not survive. Mind you, I'm speaking in the long-term, but I care about that as well.
No single leader can ruin a country based on democracy, but they CAN exacerbate the situation.
I wonder what John McCain thinks will happen if Obama meets with Iranian leaders? Puppies will start randomly exploding? Rabbits will start attacking people?
Its so funny to watch McCain spout the same gibberish as George Bush in foreign policy areas, George Bush!! The guy who's foreign policy is almost unanimously panned as probably the worst in American history.
And its so ridiculous cause I don't even think he believes it, nobody's that stupid. Even Bush met with "hostile" leaders, look at North Korea, Qaddaffi for fuck's sake.
Not sure what good they think comes out of not dealing diplomatically with other countries. Will Iran change their policy because we don't meet with them, because they feel slighted?
I'm not even saying diplomatic negotiations with Iran would work but its so funny to hear McCain act like the world would come to an end if we talk to them.
...well Iran would use any meeting with the US leadership for propaganda. Also we do not want to legitimize Iran's government on account of their views of Israel.
Oumafan, McCain is not going to say the same thing Obama is going to say....McCain is trying to get a different set of voters to get him into office and it's not unlikely that he will change course if he does get elected....stranger things have happened.
Von...America is NOT a democracy. Voting is democratic however America is a Constitutional Republic, we elect leaders who in turn govern the way we want to/believe we want to be governed based on the Constitution. Voting is democratic but our system is not, we're a Republic.
I know but I'm still surprised he's tying himself to Bush on matters like that. And he and Bush have done a pretty good job unifying the Democrats. Although we would have unified anyway, they just provided a jumpstart.
I actually don't think McCain's that stupid, its politics most likely, I think he'll take a more reasonable approach to foreign policy than Bush (how could you not) but I still don't agree with him.
How does meeting with someone validate their government? That's an honest question I've never got that one.
Let me intrude a bit. To me the Clintons represent the good 'ol days of America when the economy thrived driven by technology commerce and when it was in relative peace. For those who sez she's just a women - I bet the mister will be right behind her giving necessary advices as well as moral support. But well, seems like its going to be Obama.
amat, it's code for that old "The US doesn't negotiate with terrorists" thing....especially when we're not getting anything for it.
Well I will say after this war ends then our technology will once again spike up and our economy will boom like never before. War is the best thing for a floundering economy....think about the government grants for research and development of anything used in war: communication devices, computers, engines, etc.
After the war is done and when there is a little more political stability, when we understand where the new Pres (whomever it may be) is taking us, we're going to have the market come back up and the dollar will come back in value and everything will be right with the world.
The last couple of Presidents inherited recessions or stagnant economies.
Rumors starting to circulate that both camps are talking about an exit strategy for Hillary. Get on with it, I say.
If the Dems want to win this thing, they need both of these people on the ticket! Eat some crow Hillary! This thing is over for you. Join forces and start putting that fight together against Lyle...err, I mean...The Republicans. :)
I would actually think the Democrats would be better off with Edwards or Biden as VP. Someone to appeal to the more conservative democrats.
Edwards??? Biden???? Conservative????....surely you jest
If you want the "Reagan Democrats" you pick Evan Bayh....John Edwards #1 Has already run for VP AND got his ass fucking handed to him in VP debates and #2 John Edwards is ALMOST as much of a communist as Obama.
Joe Biden has a big mouth and just talks all the fucking time which wouldn't be so bad unless his words wouldn't be twisted.....God love the guy, he's one of the few Democrats I like but he's just not VP material, plus he's no spring chicken either.
Anyone hear about the fucking UN trying to investigate America for racism in this election....this is fucking bullcrap...I'm sick of the fucking UN. McCain is a good guy and running a clean campaign debating on the issues and I'm sorry but Rev. Wright is a BIG issue because of his crazy ass beliefs.....if the fucking President doesn't like and appreciate America then who the hell will?
I meant conservative as in a white male Lyle.
Some close friends need to take Clinton aside and help her come to an understanding that the writing is on the wall. What in the hell is she doing with that reference too JFK assassination ?? She is soooo tired and worn.
....it was an RFK assasination refrence and yeah she has a fucking point....look at Huckabee, he stayed in the Republican Primary for a long time and no one other than the base of the Republican party said "Get out" and he only got out because he got his ass whipped in the primaries.....Hillary has beaten the everliving crap out of Obama in 5 of the last 7 primaries.....Obama can't seal the deal and he's going to be a colossal failure in the general election!
Why??? Because he and his wife are too easy to paint as "America Haters" and he's an arrogant prick and unlike most politicians he has a hard time concealing that
So what do you people think of Rupert Murdoch giving his thoughts on Obama?
News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch praises US presidential candidate Barack Obama | Media | guardian.co.uk
Does his voice carry much weight? He is after all a friend of McCain's so they say. Isn't he a republican? He hasn't fully endorsed Obama (yet), but he didn't fall too short of it.
Would it be a bad idea to exile the Clintons to Siberia?
Lyle cares about the Democratic party about as much as they do.
I haven't been reading this topic, but I heard Hilary said something that was referring to the JFK assassination. It was one of those things that after you say them, you immediatlely wish you could take it back.
