Re: The Saddoboxing Sanctioning body
I think also the points awarding system could be restructed a little to define rankings e.g.
23 points for #1
19 points for #2
16 points for #3
14 points for #4
11 points for #5
9 points for #6
7 points for #7
5 points for #8
3 points for #9
1 point for #10
What do you guys think?

I did PM everyone earlier, the different point weights don't matter take for example fighter A and B
I rate A at 6th for 9 points and B at 5th for 11 points, you rank them the opposite A at 5th for 11 points and B for 9 points
the both have a value of 20 points as a tie, this is what's happening right now at a larger scale. The points system as it stands works we simply need more votes. Furthermore we need to decide if we turn ties over to the Division Manager to make the call or to revote on tie breakers.
As Galaxy mentioned this only will happen once for this initial vote then the system of fighting for rank and stripping for inactivity comes into play it will be almost automated after that. The only job for the managers is to notify the committee when something has come up in there division to vote on. Votes will occur to take fill in vacant spots in the rankings and to determine if the fight is worthy of a Title.

I'm fine with that, after more people put their votes in the number of ties should decrease. Bro, you should put everything in a text document and then copy and paste it.

Sweet brutha, I was just trying to intice you into giving us all your rankings.
It would really help us set up the initial ratings.
I know your a knowledgable dude on most of the top fighters & must have some in put on the majority of the divisions.
Even if you just gave us your rankings on the divisions that killer listed with the ties in them.

I'm busy writing an essay right now, I'll vote on the tie-breakers either later tonight or tomorrow, provided I don't drink myself into a coma when I'm done this fucking paper.

Re: The Saddoboxing Sanctioning body
Ok here's how we'll close this out. Once I get 8 votes on a ranking or time goes over, I will turn it over to the Manager's to break the ties and then they will be posted.

Re: The Saddoboxing Sanctioning body
Ok Galaxy and I briefly discussed this before, how about in addition to a fighter getting dropped to the pool immediately for being inactive for a year, how about 2 years without a win drops you to the pool as well.

Good. Exceptions for injuries?

I think if someone in the committee feels strongly enough about a specific case we can vote by committee, but after two years without a fight at all it's hard to justify someone keeping a ranking.

Re: The Saddoboxing Sanctioning body
I just got one more query for now:
If a fighter loses at a different weight than they are ranked would they still drop down a rank?
For example'
The upcoming Darchinyan/ Agbeko fight if Vic loses would it affect his Jr. Bantam rank?
My opinion would be if Darchinyan lost it shouldn't because Agbeko is ranked, but in the case of Mijares who lost to an unranked I think there should be a drop in rating.
Any ideas around this?

My personal opinion is that only fights in a weight class should count in that weight class.
