Sorry KS, but lets have it right ;)
That's a far cry from "if your going to fall over like a little bitch at every opportunity" which is the original quote, I mean if we're going to have it right.
What? Hang on?
First you say that he didn't fall over at all... Then you say he
did fall over but only cause their feet got tangled, which is wrong... Which I rightly corrected, so then you try using my principles against me because I'm right? ;D
Fine. Be like that :p
It's like this..........I did say he fell over twice, I had forgotten about the grapple fall.......hence the question.....is this what you were talking about. The crux of my argument remains the same that he wasn't falling over like a biitch at every opportunity. His during fight antics were nothing compared to how he fought Froch. If it makes you feel better to be right you go right ahead. So three falls then, one where he was trying to grab, one knockdown and one slip. Are you happy now? When it's all said and done you have still done nothing but duck me which is probably why your argument smells like fear............;D
Re: Abraham - Justified DQ?
Clear DQ, Dirrell was clearly sitting on his ass after the slip/fall...

this is turning into the whole Pacquiao/Mayweather drug test issue, the fight ended cause Abraham threw and landed an illegal blow, forcing the DQ, end of story
Relax. I was joshing with him. What's it got to do with you :cwm13:

Gameplan was perfect. Had dirrell of just got up and carried on through 12 almost everyone would now be praising him for a vintage performance. Instead he decided to tarnish the whole evening by playing dead and then pretending he had no idea where he was
Nobody came out looking good from saturday night. Abraham deserves a heavy fine for a sickening late punch, gary shaw deserves a fine for bad mouthing abraham in the post fight interview, dirrell just comes across as a complete clown with average acting ability
Man...pigs must be flying outside...I agree with everything HTH just said...

Absolutely puzzling from what I've read so far. Very curious to read to some unbiased opinions from members in the know.
Thanks in advance
I say this in another post, but the reason I say it's not a legit DQ is consistency; what's the difference between this foul and the "no call" foul from the Cotto v. Margarito fight? A foul is a foul, deduct a point.
Re: Abraham - Justified DQ?
It was justified. Cole is still useless. Dirrell is still a whiner and drama queen...
Can't say I condone the staged wrestling like convulsions, twitching and weeping. It's a bitch move, but AA should have expected it if he had been watching any tape on Dirrell at all. Especially the fight with Froch.

The two best boxers of the tournament are Dirrell and Ward and both in my mind are undefeated, as Dirrell beat Froch in my opinion. Abraham is a just stand up, unathletic classic european fighter who was always gonna be exposed by more athletic fighter who with good combo's and speed two match. It's funny really Dirrell and Ward were considered thw two weakest fighters before the super 6 started but even at this early stage they are looking like the two best.
I dont think Dirrels looking like the best. He was owned by Carl Froch and he was knocked cold last night. As for Ward he headbutted his way to a win over Kessler and if he tarvelled he'd lose but he has home advantage in every fight so its being fixed for him to win it.
I don't think I've ever agreed with any one statement as much as the one above. I would only add that the Dirrell v. AA fight was beginning to look suspiciously like Taylor v. AA--AA was beginning to land some big shots and Dirrell was tired and running.

If I had to find a middle ground with someone I disagreed with it, it would be your position.

yeh except jermain taylor was being outboxed the entire fight whereas dirrell was tearing abraham a new asshole
Re: Abraham - Justified DQ?
if Dirrell acted, then AA acted too. what the hell was all that complaining about low blows?

AA always complains about low blows, this is nothing new for him but usually he has home advantage being he mostly fights in his adopted Germany.
Re: Abraham - Justified DQ?
If that fight had gone on AA was going to knock him out. He was landing clean shots, including a knockdown not counted shortly before the DQ.
I think although it was an illegal punch, I would have like to see the fight continue. We see low blows all the time, but that doesn't end up in a DQ. Even if it's a bad one, we might see the fight stopped for respite (doesn't the victim have up to 5 minutes to recover? from a low blow?)
The call was made harder by the fact Dirrell rolled around and couldn't continue. It was a solid punch, but seemed more of an arm swing rather than something with snap.
Found this video of the fight (they have full length and highlights)

I've only just managed to watch the fight, hence my late opinions on it
Re: Abraham - Justified DQ?
Surprise, Cole was right but he should cover minor fights until he qualifies as a world class referee again. Glasses would help at this point for his other mistakes.
