Your a cool guy mate you would back Kessler to beat the shit out of prime RJJ Toney and Hopkins in the same night ;D.
So your opinion in truth doesn't hold much insight. :p

He looks like the Russian in Rocky 4 IMO
This fight is so close but the difference may be something as basic as Kessler simply having the higher hands. Carls got away with it in his last 3 but has been rocked everytime. This is the first time he meets a guy capable of putting his lights out.
Kessler wins on points. Im pretty sure now.

Kessler KO's him in 8
Ward clearly took notice and brought his coin to his next fight too. Why is it that every single boxer has won when the fight is on his home turf so far in this tournament? I hate to add to Fenster's conspiracy theories, but geez.
My take on that fight was Dirrell lost, but Froch didn't win if that makes sense. It was a lousy fight in every respect. Dirrell came to Froch's home turf and ran the whole night and to make matters worse he was the challenger. It's rare you win any fight that way. On points, I had the fight close.

Re: Froch-Kessler - who wins? (poll)
I think Froch gets dominated and stopped in the mid to late rounds 6-8.

Is that because you think highly of Kessler or low of Froch?

except when Kessler steps back in the ring with Ward it will be the same result as last time. Dirrell would give Kessler fits as well. Glad Kessler won though, I like him

If Ward fought Kessler in Denmark of a neutral location he wouldnt be able to get away with 9 seperate headbutts. It would be a different fight.
People were writing off Kess after that fight but Kessler showed it just a badnight. He still has it. Even with that injury he showed great heart to slug it out in the 12th. Fairplay to him.

Re: Froch-Kessler - who wins? (poll)
I just watched the fight. I actually had Froch winning 116-112, but a lot of the rounds he "won" were very close and the decision is justified. I think Kessler has seriously slipped as a fighter though - he's not as sharp or as fast as he used to be, I think he's getting to the point where he can see what needs to be done but he just doesn't have the reflexes to make it happen. I hate Allen Green, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him beat Kessler.
Froch really impressed me tonight, despite the loss. He's grown a lot as a fighter in the last year, he's become much more complete.
edit: I was watching it on a shitty sopcast stream, so my opinions are not really valid.

Re: Froch-Kessler - who wins? (poll)
I have more respect for Froch now than before the fight. The man has tons of heart. I thought Kessler won in a very close fight. Great night for both fighters.

No your opinions is not really valid, it must has been a fucking bad streaming or you was fucking drunk
and if you say Allen Green beats Kessler, you are a idiot, Green is not in Kessler`s class
Great our champ is back, but he got hit a lot by Froch that dont have fast hands as Ward or Dirrel. I hope that they keep working on Kesslers speed rather than powershots because he is going to need it if he faces Ward or Dirrel later in the tournament.
Neverless a great rebound after the chock in US. I think it was a close fight and score it 115-114, no way was Kessler winning big, but he had heart and a determination I was beginning to second guess. Had it been in England Froch would have won it that is the way the judge score in boxing.
And jangeorg I think you have to respect others opinion rather than go flaming like a little kid
I also though that Froch fought a fair fight and big credit for that as well :)
Hope he does not have to go to Berlin because there is no way he get a decision against the Turtle Abraham.

Hahah fuck off the old Kessler is back he won a close decision, the old Kessler has been and gone mate. Kessler wasn't that impressive imo, his footwork is not at the level it was, Kessler is lucky he is meeting Green in the next round and not Dirrell or he would be packing his bags back to Monte Carlo.

Re: Froch-Kessler - who wins? (poll)
One thing is for sure, Kessler has an iron chin, great stamina and a huge heart. Kessler gives it his all for 12 rounds.
I had Kessler winning , but was impressed with Froch. Froch is a guy that looks very beatable but he has deceivingly fast hands and finds a way to hit his opponent. I always thought he would get crushed when he tryed to throw that telegraphed upper cut but no one can catch him it seems.

Re: Froch-Kessler - who wins? (poll)
I'll watch it again tonight, but I had the fight a draw. I agree with Froch too if the fight had been in Nottingham, he would have won. It was very close. If you asked me who impressed me more regardless of the outcome, I would say Froch. Oh and that was the best fight of the Super Six thus far and fight of the year to this date in my opinion. Great final round. Wow.

I actually had Froch winning, but I have no problem with the decision. I gave him almost all the close rounds. However, I was watching it on a sopcast stream, so I need to rewatch it to form a more accurate opinion.

Carl Froch already got a gift decision in Nottingham, no need for it a second time. And plus he was on the backfoot all night, only landing the odd punch here and there.
And you certainly can't win a fight that way, in the other guys hometown. But i had Mikkel Kessler winning legitmately anyway, he made the fight by being the constant agressor. Going to the body wearing Carl Froch down, putting his punches together, aswell as having the higher workrate.

Re: Froch-Kessler - who wins? (poll)
I watched this fight in it's entirety yesterday, and i GUESS, maybe, if it was in Nottingham Froch would've won, but I would've thought Kessler got screwed out of a great fight and win.. With Froch losing in Denmark, i don't feel that he got screwed. He didn't do anything. Kessler pushed the entire fight, he had his jab working, he controlled center of the ring, and i would say that they both landed close to equal amount of power shots.
But, I think Kesslers short right hand later in the fight, round 9 or 10ish stunned Froch and that that was the biggest blow of the fight. I'm not sure how Froch could really even want to say that he felt he should've won.. i'd be ashamed.. he didn't do ANYTHING! Kesslers pushed the fight, hit the body hard at the beginning, stunned Froch in later rounds = him winning the fight. I don't think you can make nearly as good of a case for Froch.

Those body shots he was landing on Froch from 1 - 5, the low straight rights were absolutely on the button, same spot nearly every time. That was a new thing for Froch for sure, nobody has worked his body like that before, definately kept him at bay. Froch's footwork is also some of the worst i've seen. I think Froch needs a very slow, almost stationary target to throw and land clean punches. His feet are either one down one up, both up lunging or too square to get full leverage on any punch. When he has his feet planted and lands with a straight right or something he looks decent, but for the best part he's way too square or off balance to be effective. IMO he might actually have a chance for a KO against AA due to AA lack of movement, but Dirrell and Ward will make him look a fool again all day.

IT was a good competitve fight and agree with ur assesment. They landed similar amount of eye catching head shots, but you'd have to ignore the great bodywork Kess was doing to score the fight any closer than 116-112 IMO.
