As I said in another thread, I'd like to see him humiliate Froch then I don't give a damn what he does afterwards.

And apparently OCD is contagious. Whoda thunk it.
p.s. crack is whack.
Right now the SMW division is full of great fights even after the S6 is over...The division is stacked like never before not even when Eubank. Benn, Jones, Toney etc were there because most stayed for a short time those who did stay long had limited fights worthy of attention like ones today
Job Biscuit (If you don't look down you will more then likely step in shit before days end)
True.
Job biscuit (all the time with nothing for company)
Thats because neither fighter had spent anytime here....Neither man had an over abundance of fights even shown here during their career...It was bad marketing not lack of caring if they were white...
I guess you forget about the interest two of boxings whitest guys in 25 years "Irish" Micky Ward and Arturo Gatti
This job biscuit stuff is insane! ;D
Stay retired Joe, nothing more to prove despite what the critics say.
They are pale skinned but not sure if they are "white"? Does white just mean European? Spain and Portugal are in Europe and they are hispanic? but anyway what about Barrera and Morales? Marquez and Vasquez? In fact to counter the crappy race argument, name a fight as exciting as Morales v Barrera, marquez v Vasquez and Gatti v Ward with a non white fighter in?? All those fights had rematches because of their quality.
I it all revolves aroudn Andre Ward. Kessler has been exposed, Abraham has been exposed, Froch and Dirrel. But If Ward wins the Super 6 (As I think he will) then a fight with a 40 year old Calzaghe would be interesting
Joe needs to stay retired. He's got nothing to prove. He's had a great career and he finished on a high. Even now I'm pretty confident he'd beat everyone in the super-six with the exception of Ward and maybe Dirrell and that's only because I still feel their untested. They both had good wins against Kessler and Abraham respectively but I don't doubt for one second that Joe would run rings around Abraham and he's already beaten Kessler, although not quite as convincingly as Wards head did.
...Put em line POB....
Is this guy kidding me? Bute luck top beat Taylor? These guys kill me with this shit.....I love how people down Bute for one bad moment (The 12th Vs Andrade 1) and all of a sudden he gets whipped on by everyone at SMW...
Other then a possible stamina issue what are Butes shortcomings?
Speed= Among the best in the sport
Chin= He has taken big time punches...Miranda landed a few monster shots Bute barely flinched
Power= He has some very impressive stoppages including some very very impressive 1 punch knockouts..
Defense= better then average....
@ Pride of Boston...It's difficult to tell if Kessler is a different fighter from when he fought Joe. He has no reason not to be the same fighter other than maybe psychologically that loss took a bit out of Kessler? Who knows?
@ICB...That fight with Reid really could have gone either way. It's one of those where you wouldn't begrudge the win for either guy. Joe got the decision and that was that. That for me was his closest fight. The only thing that annoyed me was no rematch. Joe's actually one of my favourite fighters and the one and only time I've even been to a live fight was in Cardiff for his win against Kessler but the one thing that annoyed me about Joe was not giving rematches, with the exception of Veit. The loser in the Calzaghe - Reid fight deserved a rematch. Reid was robbed against Ottke though. The ref was abysmal in that fight!
Reid was a very decent fighter in his day. Bute vs calzaghe would be a very interesting fight indeed. I would favour a prime calzaghe, but if he was too come back who nos. It depends on how much he has lost
