This sort of reminds me of the first Jermain Taylor fight. The young fighter taking advantages early but seemingly tiring and then you wonder if Hopkins when he pours it on late is gonna have enough to stop him which will make the fight close in the championship rounds.

Hopkins won 4 clear rounds and the first 2 were close. More than likely gonna lose the decision 7 to 5.
Ugly, dirty fight. Dawson wins 9-3 for me. Dawson was a little lazy though and Hopkins outright awful to watch. Hopefully no Texas style shenanigans.
7-5 for Dawson. He didnt impress me terribly but Dawson busier if anything. I'd rather see Hopkins fight like a 47 yr old pace than Dawson do it though.
Dawson will probably win it 7 to 5, but I can almost guarantee one judge is going to have it even.
I'll be curious to see the results of the decision. And to see if Hop thinks he won if he doesn't get the nod.. ;)

The way Dawson struggles some what and fades late against Hopkins and his tactics does he REALLY wanna fight Andre Ward? Especially having to move down at 168 and lose weight. Not to mention Ward has a jab that pretty much matches his.
the rounds that dawson won he won clearly and decisively. the other rounds he did nothing. thats why its 114-114. not saying it's right but why are you guys always so suprised and outraged when the decisions go this way?!!!
i'm angry that dawson was so unwilling to assert himself when the opportunities presented themselves.

Hopkins haters will eat it up and go along with it knowing that it was much closer, and FAR from a dominant win.
In truth it was a terrible, boring mess of a fight as we all knew it would be.
I had it 115-113 Hopkins, but could see it 115-113 Dawson, or a draw.
A draw was actually fair.
Dawson winning the 12th on Harold's card just shows the corruption and eagerness of HBO to fuck Hopkins and be done with him.
Dawson was fighting a man that refuses to engage and will clinch at every opportunity. Hopkins is a known spoiler. It is his modus operandi.
And I really don't think anyone outside of judgeland would really consider the fight a draw or even particularly close.
It was an ugly, but fairly routine Dawson win. Nothing like the Taylor fights for instance.
