I'm more familiar with them than most on here I would assume, because they're a Concacaf team, and this doesn't really surprise me. They were better than Mexico during qualifying.
Campbell is a fucking cunt, but he's good. And Ruiz plays better for Costa Rica than he ever did for Fulham. That and they're pretty solid defensively.

England should get out of this group, considering how completely and utterly average Uruguay are.
But I wouldn't count out Costa Rica at all. They're set up to be difficult to beat - defensive setup and good on the counter with a quick lone striker. And now they already have 3 points.
Champions of Concacaf (obviously the most difficult region) should get an automatic pass through the group stage in my opinion.Quote:

Group D is tougher.
Disagree just cause I think Uruguay is very overrated. Their midfield is awful. They barely qualified (tough region obviously, poor man's Concacaf)
Germany and Italy are a bit of a wash
Right now I would say Portugal > England (that could change depending on Ronaldo's health and how England look)
Ghana > Uruguay
US > Costa Rica
The two candidates for group of death IMO are our group and the Spain, Chile, Netherlands, Australia group. I would have Group D in third.
Although, I wasn't impressed at all with either Chile or Australia, really.
It wouldn't surprise me if Uruguay finished with 0 points. I think England are better even with a healthy Suarez.

Sterling was impressive, but Italy were pretty comfortable.

England did play well and I think for the shape of the team Liana should play on the left for Wellbeck and Rooney up front supporting Sturridge.
Sterling was excellent and the Italy keeper was busier than ours.
What im getting at is England have a history of not wanting to use creative players who can win games. Players who never missed a penalty and had one saved out of 48. Half a Liverpool team is good, but players like Rooney and a bunch of tattoo'ed or bearded meat heads are not. England looked better than I thought they would because of the Liverpool players, but Rooney really is looking a relic and take away the hair would look older than the manager. I have no idea why he is still there. The England team like the UK would be helped by a program of limited immigration. 2 foreigners per team would allow more English players to get their chance and improve, just as controlled immigration would help British people compete and reduce demands on a collapsing welfare state.
England can still qualify, but a lot to do now.
England would be mad to drop rooney, he's a suoer talent and always has been, even when he isn't playing well he still has the ability to whack it in from 30 yards out or barge through the defence and poke it in.. Rooney is a top class player(and I dont like saying that about english players).
