Yeah Robinson could punch... so could Floyd. Like I said, you're talking a 54% KO ratio for Floyd and a 62% for Robinson. Not a whole lot of difference in there.
Ali's great because he was champ and beat great fighters, not because he chose to fight past his prime and catch a case of Parkinsons.

Big difference in KO percentage, do not talk nonsence now to support Floyd.
Yes Ali went on too long, Floyd should retire as well.

8%, big deal.
Floyd should retire, but he's not taking beatings like Ali and SRR were at this age. He's still winning, making crazy money and making easy work out of guys people said he was ducking haha.

Boxing is a contest between two men evenly matched who fight each other on a level playing field. There should be no corruption or favouritism given to either side. The fight should be impartially judged with the better man on the night rightfully getting the win.
2.... Sadly this did not happen on May 2 We all know what happened in the dressing room moments before the fight when the NSAC apparently sabotaged Pacquaio by denying him the use of Toradol previously Ok'd by the way, & he was forced to fight in pain. They even took away his water & vitamins he always takes before fight
3... After the weigh in Mayweather was allowed rehydration treatment which is ILLEGAL unless an emergeancy. Was Mayweather severely dehydrated ?? did a doctor say he needed the treatment?? When asked all Mayweather came up with was" Err Err My urine was dark very dark" . Then he looked to Ellerbee to bail him out no mention was made of a doctor being involved. Anyway even if there was Mayweather was given FOUR TIMES the max amount of Saline administered in an emergeancy apparantly
WHY??? We all know what large amounts of saline can mask don't we?????????? Plus Mayweather was not denied his Xylocaine was he ???
3... If this is your idea of a fair fight then you cannot be a boxing fan but just a Floyd fanatic who will accept anything as long as Floyd gets another win.
4 ... Mayweather needs to give Pacquaio a rematch next year when he's 100% fit But not in Vegas. Somewhere there will be no corruption & no cheating. A level straight down the middle fight with the better man getting the deserved win.
Will this happen??? Not a chance in Hell Mayweather hasn't given any opponent an even break the deck has always been heavily stacked In Mayweathers favour
Sorry that's not how boxing should be......

What a bunch of nonsense.
1. Who's more old school than Floyd? His technique and skill is a great throwback.
2. Pac was not given the OK for Toradol. For a guy who believes in "even playing fields", why the hell would you be ok with someone shooting up Toradol? Do you have any idea what that shit does? Google Toradol use in the NFL and educate yourself, child please! Pac was free to get a cortisone shot, he wanted Toradol and they said "nope".
3. Rehydration treatment (aka an IV drip) is NOT ILLEGAL, even in non-emergency situations. Actually, it's been quite commonplace in boxing and MMA for a long time. USADA is in the process of outlawing the IV use but at current time (and the time of the Mayweather/Pac fight) it was completely, 100% legal and totally without restriction of any kind.
4. Pac had his chance, he hit Mayweather as hard as he could with his best punch, the straight left, knocked Floyd back and Floyd looked him in the eye and laughed at him. The better man won.

You don't CATCH Parkinsons syndrome Ali was showing signs of the disease after the third Frazier fight. That's why Ferdi Pacheco left him he could see it happening. There is no way in hell Ali was fit to fight Holmes & as for Berbick that was disgraceful.
Floyd hasn't retired yet . Mores the pity !!! When he does he'll soon run out of $$$ & be back fighting again & be in car parks signing pics & telling kids " I I used to be TBE ""

It should be free, who is going to pay for Berto vs Floyd. I am not excited about this fight in any way at all. Are there any boxing fans out who just can't wait to see this fight?
Reminds me of when Tyson fought a freebie on the teli- Buster Mathis Jr. So this is a done deal? If so, we (me included) will complain, but will watch it.

Actually Toradol is on the list of APPROVED painkillers by USADA. Pac was refused because they claimed he hadn't filled in form correctly. He hadnt checked he was injured
they removed his water & vitamins too WHY???? Freddie & Pac notified NSAC Pac was injured but could go through with the fight if he was allowed toradol so NSAC LIED!!!!!
I think you are wrong about rehydration almost certain. I will certainly find out.
But anyway they let Floyd get by with it.
As for Floyd laughing when Pac nailed him It was just the opposite he got on his bike & ran like a bitch. Even his own Father called him a coward for fighting scared.
But you pay you money & you make your choice I guess Support whoever you want no matter the circumstances. All I know is I'd NEVER support such a cowardly, woman beating, cheating SOB I support FIGHTERS!! Mayweather couldn't FIGHT if his life depended on it

Cool so I'm supposed to respect the fact that he was too stupid to get out of the game at the right time?
Floyd's at the age where Ali was a shell of himself and getting beaten to death by Holmes and Berbick.
Floyd is going to leave the game at or near the top.

Re: floyd vs berto.......meh
Really though. It's amazing how people will just talking without facts, or just make up new facts if they have to.
I.V. illegal after weigh ins? Since when?
For UFC fighters, the ban on IV use is coming – but will it matter? | MMAjunkie
USADA is in the process of banning IV's now. Why would they be in the process of banning something that was already banned?
And as far as I know that ban is just for UFC fighters and boxers who are working with USADA.

Can't speak for the whole incident nor NSAC I: I concede that.
But the medical report can be found online. I have it. Pac or whoever checked (no) for medical issues. That has to account for something.

Re: floyd vs berto.......meh
People shit on Floyd for numbing his hands... go read up on Toradol. That shit goes beyond numbing pain, it makes you feel super human.
In the end, Pac fucked up the paper work. Nobody cheated him or fucked him over. Excuses are for the weak, for losers.
It's funny how - according to a lot of the haters - there's an excuse why Floyd won every fight he did. There's always a reason: this guy was too old, this guy was at a bad weight, this guy wasn't as good as people think, this guy got fucked by the commission, this guy got fucked by the ref, yadda yadda.
It's sad to see people going through the mental gymnastics to deny what is a certified, verified truth: Floyd is one of the greatest boxing talents of all time. Sorry, it's just the truth. You might as well be on an NBA forum telling everyone how Michael Jordan and Lebron James aren't shit.

Re: floyd vs berto.......meh
People don't like his person.....
People don't like his fighting style.
Doesn't make them haters.
To be a true hater is to deny his greatness as a fighter.
He does, after all, whatever he has to do to win fights.
As with all great fighters, he'll be more appreciated after he's gone.
That doesn't mean it isn't frustrating seeing him not pounce on the carcass when it's ready to be pounced on.

For sure but when you say his fighting style means he isn't a great fighter, you're being a hater. That seems to be what most people on this forum do.
"He's not great he doesn't knock anyone out"
"He's not great he isn't exciting"
That's a hater.

Not really. I'm the first one to say he's a P.O.S. outside the ring.
In the ring, there really isn't much to fault him on. He's won every fight and beat the guys people said would beat him.
That's why the haters are easy to shut down. If I went on a basketball forum and started talking about how Lebron James sucks, I'd get shut down too.

I am the first to say he is a great fighter who is boring as shit to watch unless the other guy brings something to challenge him. Since welterweight he has very little entertainment value and the biggest career defining fight was 5 years too late. He is not TBE boxer.

I don't disagree with any of that.
Whether or not he is TBE is up for debate though.

Bullshit!!! I have always said Mayweather has incredible God Given boxing talent worthy of a real ATG BUT!! He was also cursed with the courage & cojones of a gnat.
He ducked the dangerous legitimate opponents & cherry picked throughout his career.
Even so only his close ties with NSAC/Vegas has kept his bogus 0 intact Everyone knows that I don't hate him for that I just do not rate him as an ATG to say he's TBE is laughable
What I do detest about him is the way he's abused women. No man beats on his baby's momma & forces the kid to watch. Only a despicable coward does that. What they should have done when he was supposedly jailed was put him in with the regular population.
Prisoners don't like cowards that abuse women & children. He'd have learned for himself what being beaten & raped was all about for himself. Might have done the coward a little good

Damn, the only redeeming factor this fight had is that I thought the rumours here were true and it was network. I just rewatched Berto when he was on the Broner undercard. Seriously, Her to, and I'm a Bed to fan, isn't going to touch Floyd the roid. Shamefully, if this fight has at least two excellent undercards I'll be one of the idiots who watch it. I watch Floyd to see his jab and defense. It's not like I can order this one thinking maybe this time Floyd will lose. Nope, this fight will be a travesty.I'm glad Berto is making the big bucks, I've always liked him. It was classic after his fight with Guererro, in the post fight interview both his eyes were closed, his cheeks were the size of baseball's and all he could say is he thought he won and Guerrero didn't hurt him. One of the best post fight interviews I've ever seen.
So good for Berto even at that fight Paulie was questioning how much gas Berto has in his tank. But I think Floyd's father maybe right, it's time to hang up the gloves. In my eyes Floyd already won the fight, what's it gonna prove.

Of course it is. ;D
Bro you made the statement, the burden of proof isn't on me. Show me where it says IV use is illegal after weigh ins?
What I do know is that boxers and MMA fighters have been using IVs after weigh ins for years, and USADA is only now looking to ban the practice.
I'll ask you again, why would they be trying to ban a practice that was already illegal?
Oscar did it after the Pac fight.
“Before the fight started. When he gained two pounds [from 145 to 147] between the weigh-in and fight time.” In an earlier point in the interview, Roach said: “I saw the IV in his arm, I saw the IV marks, it was fresh tape, they hydrated him too late, they waited too long to hydrate him. It was nothing illegal… The thing was, they couldn’t get anything into his system… Nobody let him build his body back up. They did it to themselves.”

Right, the professional boxing champion has no courage, no balls.
I could post stuff to refute what you said about the ducking part (like I have in the past), but people are going to believe what they want to, despite any evidence.
