I hope that cunt has blown all his money and has to fight for years to come and ends up with proper brain damage.
Why wasn't he banned for life, arrested or sent to prison?
Because it was discovered before the fight. If he'd put Mosley in a coma and his wraps had been examined after the fight he'd be looking at paying unlimited damages in civil actions and being locked up.
He never put anyone in a coma. His hands being wrapped was witnessed by numerous top trainers and numerous commissions over the years.
And that's all they did. Witness it. Eventually one of the witnesses decided to check the pads that were being used in the wraps and it turned out they were let's be charitable and say illegal.
You can't prove beyond doubt that Margarito didn't know what his trainer was doing. I can't prove beyond doubt that he did. So you've got to go to the balance of probabilities. You're the trainer (Capetillo?) and you come up with this great idea to give your guy plaster casts on his knuckles in fights. Your idea, if it went badly wrong, would expose your guy to becoming one of the most infamous cunts in boxing history and expose him to potentially losing every penny he ever earned and a prison sentence, his career over, not to mention potentially killing or maiming somebody and let's pretend Margarito or his trainer would give a shit about that. Come on man, considering all that how likely is it that he did it for Margarito without telling him?

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
Killing. Maiming. Bricks. Fined. Banned for life. Lawsuit. Prison.
None of this happened. He didn't even have his boxing record squashed. This wasn't anything like the Resto case. Did Margarito know his trainer attempted to use a used gauze? Maybe. Seems like there are plenty in the game that think it was blown out of proportion. And plenty of top trainers that stick up for him.

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
To me, it's not as much how bad Floyd looks after getting the IV, it is how bad USADA looks for willingly breaking the rules for Floyd. They purport to abide by the WADA Code and yet they don't comply with the WADA Code in the biggest fight of the year. If they are willing to bend rules in that instance, one has to think they do so all the time.

Lyle and Spicoli are correct. One thing that is for sure here is that USADA bended its rules to accommodate Floyd.
The other thing that is odd is that Floyd hovers around 150 in between fights. In this particular fight, he was at 150.5 at the 30 day weigh in. Why would he need to be rehydrated through an IV if he was only losing 3.5 pounds? I understand chugging a gatorade or something, but needing a TUE for an IV for 3.5 pounds? It doesn't make much sense.

Excellent, objective post!
But I'd also like some additional clarification from someone that has personally witnessed and/or has been personally involved in boxing handwrapping to speak on the process. Is it normal for the fighter to be clueless about how his hands are being wrapped? What are they normally doing? Are they asleep? Are they looking the other way? Can the trainer put a brick in there without the boxer knowing? Just curious.

I'll help you with that. (These people are highly respected boxing trainers)
Dan Birmingham: “My guys watch me closely when I wrap. But what you’re talking about here happens pretty quickly. The pad goes on and then you put more gauze over it. So sure; it’s possible that the fighter wouldn’t know.”
Pat Burns: “Some fighters don’t pay attention when their hands are being wrapped. They’re listening to music or talking to someone or watching a television monitor. And even if they’re watching, they’re not wondering what’s in the knuckle pad. If I wanted to put a few layers of hardened gauze inside a fighter’s knuckle pads, I could and the fighter would never know.”
Freddie Roach: “If I did something like that, which I wouldn’t, I think I could do it without my fighter knowing. And if I was the fighter; Eddie Futch [who trained Roach] would never have done something like that. But if he had, I think he could have kept it secret from me.”
Don Turner: “I wouldn’t do it. I don’t cheat. But if I wanted to, unless what I was putting into the knuckle pad was very heavy, I could do it in a way that the fighter wouldn’t know. Even if the fighter is watching me wrap, he might not know because he wouldn’t see or feel the difference.”
Emanuel Steward: “My experience has been that a fighter watches very closely when his hands are being taped. But in a situation like this, it’s definitely possible that a trainer could put an insert in the knuckle pad without the fighter knowing. When I get in the dressing room before a fight, one of the first things I do is make two knuckle pads and put them on the table. I don’t put them in my bag. I leave them out on the table, and so does every other trainer I know of. So I have a hard time believing that Capetillo took the wrong knuckle pads out of his bag by mistake. But the fighter doesn’t watch me make the knuckle pads. A lot of times, the fighter isn’t even there when I make them. So the fighter wouldn’t know if I put something inside the pads unless I told him or the pads were heavy enough that he could feel a difference.”
Naazim Richardson: “I’m the wrong person to ask about this. If a guy is driving a truck and tries to run my daughter over and misses, don’t ask me what the punishment should be. But to be fair, yes, a fighter might not know.”
Hope this helps.

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
I have known it before that Mayweather is a cheater. Pac deserves a chance to prove that he could easily beat Mayweather if it was not for Floyd's performance enhancing drugs. Fact.

Arent you forgetting something??? The supposed PLASTER CASTS or PLASTER BLOCKS as that lying POS Richardson called them, were tested in an independent lab on order of the CSAS. That lab found them to be completely harmless jus used damp pads not hard at all.
Now look at the other side of this Was Richardson concerned that his fighter Mosely a PROVEN & SELF CONFESSED steroid abuser was almost certainly juiced to the gills for that fight???? Margarito was railroaded the Cheaters were Mosely & Richardson

That's not what they said at all. They said there was the constituent elements of plaster of paris in there. And the trainer got banned for life.

Why haven't they released Floyd's testing data from his previous fights? Why haven't they responded to Floyd's suspicious testosterone to epi-testosterone ratio from the Ortiz and Mosley fights?

It's useless, Kirk.
The guy's Margarito's, lifelong personal pal.
There's no way he's going to yield, even with the truth smacking him across the face with plaster casts.
This article's old... but it's all anyone needs to know.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spor...ito-wraps.html
An important excerpt:
A Department of Justice senior criminalist who inspected the wrappings under stereomicroscope and X-ray flourescence spectrometer reported calcium and sulfur were discovered, noting the elements make plaster of Paris with the addition of oxygen. The report was dated March 19. "The commission's decision appears to be supported by that report," said Karen Chappelle, the state supervising deputy attorney general for licensing who urged the California commission to revoke the fighter and trainer's licenses. "The only things that are allowed in hand wraps are gauze and tape and those items aren't gauze and tape."
The ONLY things allowed in hand wraps are gauze and tape and those items aren't gauze and tape.
Lock him up and throw away the key.
Hell.... even Capetillo came back later and admitted the wrongdoing.

That is NOT correct. What was stated was TRACE ELEMENTS of sulpher & calcium were found on the pad. very much larger amounts mixed with water would indeed make plaster BUT what you fail to mention is both sulpher & calcium are also ingredients of HUMAN SWEAT!!! not to mention Hand cream too. Tony Margarito & Javier Capetillo were both banned BEFORE the pads were even tested. At most Capetillo was guilty of using a used pad not a new one hardly loading any gloves. This whole façade was started by a blatant lie by Nazim Richardson who proclaimed PLASTER BLOCKS fell fro the wraps. Where are those PLASTER BLOCKS no one else claimed to have seen them
If Margarito or Capetillo deserve banning for being innocent Mayweather The NSAC & USADA need to be jailed for life for what they did on May 1 & 2

Read the OFFICIAL report not the doctored one It read TRACE ELEMENTS discovered by microscopic examination. If it needed a microscope to find it what use would it be.
Why wasn't Capetillo charged with attempting to load the gloves???Because it NEVER happened. Capetillo was banned by the CSAC who would have been the prosecution had it gone to court. So its like you've been accused of murder & I'm accusing you . I decide I don't need a trial so I find you guilty & sentence you to life.in prison all by myself with no trial. Would you think that was justice???? Hell no but that is EXACTLY what happened to Antonio Margarito & Javier Capetillo

It doesn't say that at all. Find it and read it. If you're right you can post it here and prove me wrong.

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
If Mayweather told them and it was all set to go and he was given the ok then it is not cheating pretty simple i do not see the big deal. Manny lost and put up a worse fight then more people that have fought Mayweather and then made up excuse that were not real can we move one. Why on earth are we talking about Margarito that is not even the same thing or same fighter it is way out of left field. This all really does not matter in the end we should be paying attention to new fighters and new fights.

One more thing Rocco One of my jobs was to act as Wrangler for the ring card girls
Was a tough job keeping those lil darlins in order. Had to give em a stiff talking to at times too
