I hope that cunt has blown all his money and has to fight for years to come and ends up with proper brain damage.
Why wasn't he banned for life, arrested or sent to prison?
Because it was discovered before the fight. If he'd put Mosley in a coma and his wraps had been examined after the fight he'd be looking at paying unlimited damages in civil actions and being locked up.
He never put anyone in a coma. His hands being wrapped was witnessed by numerous top trainers and numerous commissions over the years.
And that's all they did. Witness it. Eventually one of the witnesses decided to check the pads that were being used in the wraps and it turned out they were let's be charitable and say illegal.

You can't prove beyond doubt that Margarito didn't know what his trainer was doing. I can't prove beyond doubt that he did. So you've got to go to the balance of probabilities. You're the trainer (Capetillo?) and you come up with this great idea to give your guy plaster casts on his knuckles in fights. Your idea, if it went badly wrong, would expose your guy to becoming one of the most infamous cunts in boxing history and expose him to potentially losing every penny he ever earned and a prison sentence, his career over, not to mention potentially killing or maiming somebody and let's pretend Margarito or his trainer would give a shit about that. Come on man, considering all that how likely is it that he did it for Margarito without telling him?

Excellent, objective post!

But I'd also like some additional clarification from someone that has personally witnessed and/or has been personally involved in boxing handwrapping to speak on the process. Is it normal for the fighter to be clueless about how his hands are being wrapped? What are they normally doing? Are they asleep? Are they looking the other way? Can the trainer put a brick in there without the boxer knowing? Just curious.
