He wasn't quite as all over the place as he was in the Slovakia match, today that was Ramsey popping up in just about every position. Allen's not long back from injury, so its good to see he lasted, although he looked tired for the last ten minutes. He does have beautiful hair.

Re: European Championship 2016
Funny, but Wales were playing competitive football until they scored the goal. Once that happened, they sort of bottled it and tried to just defend defend defend rather than actually trying to win.
Speaking as a proud Welshman, I thought England were excellent. They played without fear and chased the win throughout. They deserved it just because of that.
I think that young England team will be a threat to anyone in the tournament.

Re: European Championship 2016
That was funny seeing Ronaldo nearly crying, missed numerous chances, penalty and disallowed goal. ;D

Re: European Championship 2016
Spain v Italy, now that is a match to really want to watch. Now the real games start.

Re: European Championship 2016
Having looked at the potential opponents for Wales and England, I'm thinking finishing second might actually be a decent result. To my mind, it looks like Iceland or Hungary as opponents for England, while Turkey now seem most likely as Wales' opposition, with Northern Ireland also a possibility.
All quiet in terms of England fans at the moment, but I'm pretty happy with Wales' performance, now its all about keeping up the momentum, and getting into the Quarter Finals.

The only issue finishing second is that France, Italy, Spain, are on our side of the group.

Re: European Championship 2016
I hope we get Portugal in the next round. They will actually try to play against us and are basically a one man team now. Plus they are due a does of revenge.
Edit - looks like we'll be getting Iceland lol. They'll do.

Rep. Irelands performance was amazing yesterday against Italy.
Zlatan can retire at Man Utd.
I am happy we have avoided Northern Ireland.

Brilliant win for the Irish. Chelsea is looking at that Italian CB to replace John Terry.
Zlatan SHOULD go to the MLS to relax and do his thing there, bask in the glory of being THE MAN in the league for a short time...He'll get paid big time regardless, but I think that would be very cool for him to make the move to the US. We need that to take the MLS to the next level.
The Northern Irish are that good you have to worry about them?

No but Iceland is easier than a home nation team as they tend to try harder like the welsh did.

Ah, one of those bitter rivalry matches where you have to bring your A game vs a bunch of over achievers eh?

Yes and they have a massive chip on their shoulder about being persecuted, resources stolen and being downtrodden by the English.

Re: European Championship 2016
Wales are in the quarter finals of a major tournament. WTF is happening. I was happy to go home after the group stages without getting thumped. This is absolutely insane.

Re: European Championship 2016
All the matches are very tight and tense.

Re: European Championship 2016
Yes I think we'll see very few goals in the knockout stages all games so far could have gone either way and it's been pens or one moment that's settled it
If England can't get past a team like Iceland in major knockout format then we have a serious problem and I will not be upset in any way at all. Just angry
Funnily enough if we meet France I'd quite fancy us

France are losing to Rep of Ireland, which is funny.

Re: European Championship 2016
The Germans just looked really good giving Slovakia a tonking. I don't think either Wales or England will want to cross swords with them during the tournament...

They are quality and must be favourites.

Re: European Championship 2016
Forget what I said about tight matches Germany and Belgium have battered their opponents.

Wales are undefeated in the last three games against Belgium...although I had to admit they looked very good. Hungary didn't have a solid foundation though.

Good luck, you will need it. :)

Re: European Championship 2016
What are the odds on Wales making the final? Nothing is easy at this stage and getting by Belgium will be an ask, but if they can do it, Wales V Poland/Portugal is a 50/50 game for me.

We should have been on that side of the draw.

I'll be surprised if Spain vs Italy doesn't make it to extra time.

Spain should have beaten Italy - your lot should have beaten Slovakia. Sometimes 'should' is a little bastard of a word.

Italy were class, the keeper kept Spain in the match.
Germany v Spain will be epic.

Re: European Championship 2016
I can not believe this. Heart is a wanker and should never be on that pitch after letting Bales free kick in.
We better turn this around in the second half!

On paper you compare the big names of Spain against a fairly average Italy side, albeit one with some good team spirit and work ethic, and Spain would win more than they lose IMO.
Anyway, apparently there is some bigger news in the Euros this evening...

Damn.........
England's leaving all kinds of things Europe lately.
First the Union, and now the Championships.
