I might argue the fact that a scrappy 92nd minute goal to make it 2-1 would constitute a "hell of a beating", but if it would have been 15 minutes earlier it certainly wouldn't be so gutting! We were probably second best today, but having withstood for so long, really thought we were going to make it.

Anyway, Russia haven't looked like too much of a side in their first two games, so hopefully we can get something out of that game and go through 2nd or 3rd.
    Probably ?

Thanks for your optimism, okay, I will accept that we can PROBABLY get something out of that game and go through 2nd or 3rd.

He is actually a good player, surprisingly.

    Ramsey was everywhere.

Walker was awesome! Sturridge is the bomb!

Germans drew, maybe there is a chance for the rest of us.

If Sturridge was healthy he'd be getting tapped up for Barca and Real.

He wasn't quite as all over the place as he was in the Slovakia match, today that was Ramsey popping up in just about every position. Allen's not long back from injury, so its good to see he lasted, although he looked tired for the last ten minutes. He does have beautiful hair.

Funny, but Wales were playing competitive football until they scored the goal. Once that happened, they sort of bottled it and tried to just defend defend defend rather than actually trying to win.

Speaking as a proud Welshman, I thought England were excellent. They played without fear and chased the win throughout. They deserved it just because of that.

I think that young England team will be a threat to anyone in the tournament.

That was funny seeing Ronaldo nearly crying, missed numerous chances, penalty and disallowed goal.

Spain v Italy, now that is a match to really want to watch. Now the real games start.

Having looked at the potential opponents for Wales and England, I'm thinking finishing second might actually be a decent result. To my mind, it looks like Iceland or Hungary as opponents for England, while Turkey now seem most likely as Wales' opposition, with Northern Ireland also a possibility.

All quiet in terms of England fans at the moment, but I'm pretty happy with Wales' performance, now its all about keeping up the momentum, and getting into the Quarter Finals.

The only issue finishing second is that France, Italy, Spain, are on our side of the group.

I hope we get Portugal in the next round. They will actually try to play against us and are basically a one man team now. Plus they are due a does of revenge.

Edit - looks like we'll be getting Iceland lol. They'll do.

Rep. Irelands performance was amazing yesterday against Italy.

Zlatan can retire at Man Utd.

I am happy we have avoided Northern Ireland.

Brilliant win for the Irish. Chelsea is looking at that Italian CB to replace John Terry.

Zlatan SHOULD go to the MLS to relax and do his thing there, bask in the glory of being THE MAN in the league for a short time...He'll get paid big time regardless, but I think that would be very cool for him to make the move to the US. We need that to take the MLS to the next level.

The Northern Irish are that good you have to worry about them?
