Re: Oscar rolling out the excuses already
True. Didn't he lose a lot in those recent lawsuits? $8m or so. Oscar fought most of the top guys so it seems strange he is holding Canelo back. Canelo is their biggest star tho so I guess he want to milk it as much as possible until his stable is solid again.

Oscar fought anyone and everyone when he was a fighter which is why he was the golden child. Canelo was solid and if GGG was not around Canelo would have stayed at middleweight.
Re: Oscar rolling out the excuses already
Canelo is as much to blame, if not more than Oscar. After all... HE'S the only looking like the World's Biggest Pussy for allowing Oscar to make asinine excuses as to why he hasn't fought GGG yet. You gain your own reputation in the ring..... but promoters can sure F*CK it up for you outside of it.

What do you think people say to Canelo walking around town. They may say "Go Champ" but deep inside they are thinking you pussy for not fighting GGG.

Re: Oscar rolling out the excuses already
No wonder Oscar wants to preserve Canelo as his top PPV star considering Schaefer/Haymon deceitfully stole all his fighters. Golden Boy have actually made a good comeback in signing tons of young American/Latino talent, but having the biggest PPV star in America is vital.

GGG should've taken Canelo up on putting on the gloves right then and there.... ;D 'cause in real life he was never going to get the chance.
It's a tried and true boxing fact: The safest time to "call out" an opponent is from the middle of the ring right after your just concluded fight. ;)

Sort of like King with his stable and monopoly on the heavies at a time.

King was never silly enough for others to steal his fighters and he always got them back with a suitcase full of cash.

Only age has slowed King but Arum seems to be going strong.
Re: Oscar rolling out the excuses already
Yeah amazingly Arum and Top Ranks stable just keeps getting better. There recent signings have been very impressive.

If Team Canelo had been clamoring for a GGG fight from the beginning, this might be a bit more credible... but we all know that isn't the case.
I am not a fan of Oscar's since he took the coward's way out with Tito and believe me if Oscar didn't he would begin eating solid food last year. They say that discretion heart of valor but cowards run fast especially greedy ones. Let me off the soapbox now. Oscar is playing a psychological of depriving GGG of a shot by saying he is flooding his datebook with other fights to avoid carrot top. Khan was a punching bag that hit back but easy to enhance his as far as I am concerned phony reputation at middle weight after facing Cotto who is ready for retirement. GGG's boxing ability was also brought forth by Jacobs who had great moves and Oscar wearing his best pumps took a shot hiding behind his last big meal ticket. It's just business isn't it Oscar but a psychologist, never! GGG is the real deal and Canelo better bring the wine.
