Re: Hopkins or Roy Jones!!!
Roy is more gifted. Hopkins is more fundamentally sound.

What would you pick if you had a choice from either all of Hopkins' craft or Roy Jones' talent
It's funny and somewhat sad to me as a Jones fan that two of Roy's greatest rivals, Bernard Hopkins and James Toney have outlasted him. Both have continued to be forces in boxing after Jones's downfall. I love all three fighters and all are great. But Jones was and will always be the greatest. He fought like no one else. Toney and Hopkins are/were great skilled fighters who know all the tricks but Roy was a Phenom. He not only won every fight, but none of them were close. He dominated and embarressed his opponents. It's easy for people to criticize Jones now, but at the top of his game he was really something special.
Re: Hopkins or Roy Jones!!!
I like B-hop as a person and i like his attitude immensely.
But i think there is a touch of the 'Calzaghe' syndrome creeping in and we need to keep a perspective.
B-hop's list of wins is incredible - but i just felt that his career INSIDE the ring was like watching paint dry at times.
If B-hop could have put on an offensive like he did against Tarver in the a few more fights i would have tuned in religiously.
Like Lacy (bless him) Tarver is not really credited as the real-deal is he? and B-hop simply went in and shown it to the rest of us.
B-hop - great man, great career - but ultimately not my cup of tea.
