My bodyfat is definitely down too but I don't know exactly what it is as my scales fluctuate.
One day I'm 16.8 then the next 17.7 then 17.1 etc. It changes by .5 during the same day as well so I'm just noting the average trend, i.e down which is good.
I reckon I must be about 17-17.5 now which is 3% down on last year when I made this thread.
135 is the lowest I've weighed illness aside since I was about 20 which isn't bad. I'm definitely a little more muscular now as I'm working with dumbells.
Ive just finished one 8 week plan and this week am about to start another. All my workouts are computer generated for me which is ideal as all I have to do is follow the schedule I'm giving. Today it's Fitness Evolved on my Kinect for 15 mins followed by 30 mins of weights.
Generally I train for 20 to 45 mins a time about 5 days a week.
I don't think it's necessary or advisable for me to work much more than that, and I've lost about 8 lbs in the last couple months so am making exactly the progress I wanted.
I'd like to put a bit of muscle on now, but I imagine I will be a slow gainer so if I can put on maybe half a stone of muscle over a year I'd be well happy.
Well done mate.
What weights equipment do you have at your disposal at home?
Re: What's your bodyfat percentage?
I'm pretty with lucky with equipment really, virtually everything I need. Weights wise I have a set of adjustable dumbells that go up to 21 kg's each, and a nice bench that has 3 incline settings.
I've also got a bike, a rowing machine, and now Kinect has come out, a decent fitness program on that.
I used to go to a gym but I never went often enough to make it worthwhile so now my lounge is basically a gym.

That's cool. You can do pretty much everything with dumbbells and a bench.
If you want some advice on weights rountines I'd be happy to PM you something. I don't want to patronise you as you may know as much as me!
Re: What's your bodyfat percentage?
I haven't touched weights for years. When I was 14 I was bench pressing 180 pounds, I doubt I could do that if I tried now :-\

I'm not even pressing 14 lb dumbells yet :-\
Re: What's your bodyfat percentage?
My current strength is pretty weak.
I've started light and trying to increase reps before I add weight.
Today's workout was as follows.
Press ups 2 x 15 (could barely 1 x 10 a month ago :()
Bench Press 2 x 15 10kg each arm so 20 kg total
Incline Bench 2 x 15 9kg 18kg t
Squats 2 x 15 9 kg 18kg t, actually more like 4 x 7 as I have to stop to breath halfway through
Bent over Rows - 2 x 15 10 kg 20t
Shoulder Press 2 x 15 8kg 16t
Arm Curls 2 x 15 7kg 14 t
Tricep Curls 2 x 15 6 kg 12 t
Planks 2 x 45 seconds.
If I train hard and increase reps/resistance whenever possible what sort of strength gains do you think I could make?

To be honest mate, its very dependent on your diet. If you dont eat enough then you aint lifting shit. Eat right and use protein shakes and creatine and you will speed up the process. You should notice strength gains in the first month, they wont be massive but theyll be there. But once your in the swing of things its not unusual to plateau. Eg. Last yr i was bench pressing 120 kg and i still havent really gotten past it (partially due to some shoulder problems) BUT im barbell curling way more ( was only doing weak amounts last yr, something like 30 kg) and now im able to do 50kg with good form for 8 reps.
Re: What's your bodyfat percentage?
Bilbo, 135 pounds is ridiculously light. I thought I was a skinny bugger at 6 foot 3 and 168 pounds, but you must be a dwarf whence your name. That's like JMM, really quite tiny.
How tall are you?

ha well Gandalf should weigh more than Bilbo.
I am 5ft 7.5. Actually though I miscalculted. I am 9 st 10 so actually 136, which is altogether more impressive I think.
According to my pda stats my heaviest weight was 164 lbs in mid 2006, which is when I had a personal trainer so obviously I must have had some muscle on me then.
I am 19.5 lbs down, which is actually incredible as I've always thought of myself as a constant weight guy. But I'm actually like Manny Pacquaio in reverse.
I think 135 is ok. I mean Marquez, Morales, Barrera etc. Those guys are my height and frame and I don't have much muscle mass on me, so losing fat I would be that weight I think.
My long term goal is to be around 147 lbs but muscle not fat. I've still got moobs which is frustrating.

That isn't that short, I was thinking something Naseem Hamed like with that kind of weight. 164 pounds from before sounds quite stocky for someone of that height actually. I don't think I have been down to such a weight since I was about 17. I really need to put on some weight as for the last few years I have looked like a Jewish version of Tom Hanks from Philadelphia. The good thing is that I have just got my twice yearly stock of British grub and am pigging out like a demon. A fray Bentos meat pie for dinner followed by half a box of Roses. Surely my lack of exercise will begin to tell with some serious manboobs of my own.

Maybe if I had a real illness like being unable to resist sticking my fat fingers into the cookie jar then you would be more understanding of me.;)

You 'had' an illness, you don't now. If you can climb mountains and lift weights, you can get a job ;)

I still have an illness. I have chronic pulmonary fibrosis which if you google it will find it typically kills people in around 5 years. I've had it for 10 and climbing moutains and exercising is what keeps me alive.

That sucks mate and sorry to hear that, however, what's stopping you working? You sit at your computer for 18 hours a day, why not sit at a checkout or in an office for 7.5?
You seem to do most things that everybody else does, except go out and make some dollar.
