now tell me, explain to me if pacquiao is not cherry picking his opponents, why wasn't berto nor bradley or anybody as fast as pacquiao, chosen as his opponent? and please don't tell me that bullshit that they wouldn't sell enough ppv's! do you actually think the knowledgeable boxing public is going to shell out $54.95 to see a one sided beat down? pacquiao is a multi-millionaire many times over, surely he can go after a top fighter so that he can shut up his most ardent critics.
and another thing, sergio martinez already said he would come down to 154 to challenge pacquiao for his jr. middleweight title but bob arum balked as usual. why? and please don't tell me pacquiao is too small for martinez. pacquiao was willing to beat up a slow, margarito for the jr. middleweight title at a catchweight so why can't he defend it with martinez as his opponent? i'll tell you why, it's because martinez would kill pacquiao and pacman knows it. he only wants fights where he has a big speed advantage. forget about the height and weight, speed kills and if your opponent happens to fight you at a catchweight and he's slow and past his prime, what a better opponent for pacquiao!!!
You are turning this into a Pacquiao thread! I wanted to talk Marquez.
What do you mean, he had two whole paragraphs about Marquez! read again...
ooooops, actually, they don't mention Marquez at all.. My bad...

When was his dismal showing? did i miss it? i thought he looked pretty good against Katsidis.
I think he meant revenue rather than performance.
JMM - Katsidis - Boxing - Yahoo! Sports
I did mean his revenue earnings. The HBO payout: Marquez $1.4 mill, Katsidis $530K, Berto $910K, Hernandez $75K, Caballero $200K, Litzau $50K. but perhaps you are correct. "Dismal" is a poor word choice. There is really nothing dismal about $1.4 Million. But I'd let Pacquiao hit me in the face for $1 mil. No problem! Well.. problem  , but I'd still do it.
