Dark Lord, you are immature bro.. ;D YOu know how I know? Everytime I read your posts on Tyson Fury, I just get this vibe that it was written by a middle school delinquent.

Holyfield in 91 was a machine and could go non stop for 12 rounds, Mike would only be a threat to him for 5 or 6 rounds
Holyfield was a skinny heavyweight then, Tyson would have butchered his body. Later he put on the muscle to absorb the heavyweight shots.
That's true Holyfield may not have the neck the absorb the uppercuts back then but he is such a warrior that he'd most likely be able to battle back and get off the floor if he had to and take Tyson into deep water
If I had to put money on it I'd go with Holyfield cuz if you put money on Tyson you'd be banking on him winning early and Evander's never been put away early

Whilst Tyson may not have stopped Holyfield early I could see Tyson stop him later in the fight a bit like Toney did with brutal body shots.

Although Holyfield was past his best in this fight and only 2 lb heavier he perceived as too big and strong for Toney and was a huge favourite it really showed up how Holyfield ateiggles with speed and combination punching because his head movement isnt that good. Throw one shot at a time and Holyfield is fine.
The measly couple of times in the first fit with Tyson that Mike put punches together Evander just looked lost. I think it was the 5th and the 9th. Now back in 91 that would have happened more than twice.

It's possible than Mike could break Holyfield down with body shots though its a little unfair to judge Evander's on the Toney fight. He was a decade or two past it by then.
Holyfield stood his ground with Bowe for 12 rounds who was bigger and heavier, I know he didnt have Tysons speed or power but Holyfield had to show he could dig deep in the trenches. Every time Tyson was in a fight where he had to dig deep he ended up losing with the exception of the Rudduck fights. His main problem with Evander's style is that Evander would always be able to push Tyson back by having his left foot in the middle of Tysons stance and he'd push off his Backfoot. They spoke about this with Bobby Chyz in the build up to th return with Mike. Tyson doesn't fight well on the backfoot and Holyfields headbutts would always play their part too and disrupt Mike
I remember the sucess Tyson had in round 5 of the first fight, Evander had to drop his arms and take a step back but he did comeback to floor mike in the next round so that told me that he could absorb Mikes power and not get discourged.
Well never know what would happen but they sparred as amateurs and that was brutal too by all accounts. Whenever they met they would exchange viciously but I don't see a quick win for either guy

So Holyfield gets a pass but Mike doesnt? Mike was out for 4 years and was declining rapidly before that.
That 5th rou d is probably the last combination punching that Mike ever did. It wasnt necessarily the power of those punches that troubled Holyfield but the fact he didnt know where they were coming from and ouldnt defend against them which is why he HAD to just take a step back. Now back in 91, Mike would have continued but in 96 he let Evander stand back and dictate the pace.

Thanks for the vid, enjoyed that. What a great fight that was. I agree that its the speed of Tyson that would give Evander nightmares rather than just the power. A 91 version of Mike would be quicker but so would a 91 version of Evander, he was 34 in that fight so was slowing down abit but those combos from Mike would have decked most guys. They say never hook with a hooker but Evander always answers with a hook and it served him well vs Mike. It's just hard to imagine Evander getting sparked by mike early and if he wasnt sparked early I can't see him losing late either especially the 91 version who could pick up his pace and close fights well in the late rounds.
In regards to Holyfield getting a pass for the Toney fight- I'm not sure it's relevant but if it is then we also have to factor in Tysons stoppage losses to Mcbride and Williams which don't tell us much. The question was how they'd do if they fought in 1991 where both guys were a little younger and had better machines. It's a tough one but I imagine it would be harder build a gameplan for Tyson to beat Holyfield than the other way round
Re: Tyson VS Holyfield in 91
My now go to argument with Tyson is, imagine the Tyson V Holmes fight never happened and just go on popular perceptions.
Look at how Holmes troubled Holyfield and McCall and beat an unbeaten Mercer years later and then totally disregarding the actual fight that happened (when Holmes was younger and 4 years closer to his prime) only 2 years after his last Spinks fight (just like Mayweather against Marquez;D) Not 6 years when he lost on points to Holyfield.
Back then Mike was just a phenomenon and he declined before he went to prison massively. He came out a name, nothing more.
