Tyson VS Holyfield in 91

Mike would be dangerous in the exchanges but unless he landed something big early I think it would go the same way it did in 96.

Holyfield had Tysons number and once he had absorbed his initial assault he would start roughing him up and wearing him down.

Holyfield in 91 was a machine and could go non stop for 12 rounds, Mike would only be a threat to him for 5 or 6 rounds

Holyfield was a skinny heavyweight then, Tyson would have butchered his body. Later he put on the muscle to absorb the heavyweight shots.

That's true Holyfield may not have the neck the absorb the uppercuts back then but he is such a warrior that he'd most likely be able to battle back and get off the floor if he had to and take Tyson into deep water

If I had to put money on it I'd go with Holyfield cuz if you put money on Tyson you'd be banking on him winning early and Evander's never been put away early

Whilst Tyson may not have stopped Holyfield early I could see Tyson stop him later in the fight a bit like Toney did with brutal body shots.

Although Holyfield was past his best in this fight and only 2 lb heavier he perceived as too big and strong for Toney and was a huge favourite it really showed up how Holyfield ateiggles with speed and combination punching because his head movement isnt that good. Throw one shot at a time and Holyfield is fine.

The measly couple of times in the first fit with Tyson that Mike put punches together Evander just looked lost. I think it was the 5th and the 9th. Now back in 91 that would have happened more than twice.

It's possible than Mike could break Holyfield down with body shots though its a little unfair to judge Evander's on the Toney fight. He was a decade or two past it by then.

Holyfield stood his ground with Bowe for 12 rounds who was bigger and heavier, I know he didnt have Tysons speed or power but Holyfield had to show he could dig deep in the trenches. Every time Tyson was in a fight where he had to dig deep he ended up losing with the exception of the Rudduck fights. His main problem with Evander's style is that Evander would always be able to push Tyson back by having his left foot in the middle of Tysons stance and he'd push off his Backfoot. They spoke about this with Bobby Chyz in the build up to th return with Mike. Tyson doesn't fight well on the backfoot and Holyfields headbutts would always play their part too and disrupt Mike

I remember the sucess Tyson had in round 5 of the first fight, Evander had to drop his arms and take a step back but he did comeback to floor mike in the next round so that told me that he could absorb Mikes power and not get discourged.

Well never know what would happen but they sparred as amateurs and that was brutal too by all accounts. Whenever they met they would exchange viciously but I don't see a quick win for either guy
